Hi Sleepwalk60, thank you , yes they look fantastic now that they are almost over the moult, no be long until they start looking like pictures that's the best part , and the breeding's not that far away for me , December just in time for the rings in January , thanks for getting in touch , take care .
Great to see your birds out on a sunny day mate. If you get time could you run though the set up of your loft, which way is best for it to face, breeding boxes, ventilation ect just picking your brains for my set up All the very best mate
Hiya Tony , My Loft is south facing so the loft gets the sun all day my garden is a great suntrap, my breeding boxes are widowhood boxes, I put these strips of wood down the front of the boxes to give the birds a bit more privacy , my ventilation are two set of louvers for air but i also keep the loft door open all day to let more air in weather permitting , it's good to have a well ventilated loft , the birds thrive in fresh air . take care tony .
Hiya hedleycrick , yes i will have yearlings and 2 year olds , next year i will have an extra 2 cocks , it's worked out as 26 cocks and 26 hens just perfect, all i have to do is put an extra 2 boxses into the widowhood loft, take care buddy .
It's good to the birds now its rest time for them as there molting there new feather we used to let our birds out all year round but there's to many hawks as rule end September we stop letting them out split them up then won't belong for the breeding season start planning what your going to pair up next year put on paper good luck we hope you do well
