I love going to lakeside. It's one of my favorite places to go. I've been going there for almost 14 years every summer. I love going to coffee and cream. I definitely recommend anyone who hasn't been there before

Almost like being there! What a spectacular tribute to one of the most special and precious and unique places in America! Love to see Gretchen, Shirley, Kevin, Bill and Dakota. Well Done! Can't wait to return some day!! Highly recommended!

This is really a great place! There is something for everyone, and the programs at night are great. The OSU alumni band gives a concert every other year. We usually come to stay for a week but you can rent not only hotel rooms but houses for the whole family and stay all summer. There's no place like it!! I love it.

I grew up summering in Lakeside (b. 1952) in the cottage (6-bedroom house) on Oak Street (now Avenue) that my grandfather bought in the early 1930s. I return there about once a year; I live in Manhattan now. This "Road Trip" brought back some rich memories. There really isn't anyplace like Lakeside.

"It's just fun! For 2 minutes you're great at it, then 2 minutes later you're terrible at it and you laugh, then you walk away and have ice cream! What's not to like about shuffleboard?" Couldn't have said it better myself! Lakeside is the best.

I'm a 5th Generation Lakesider who now brings my children all the way from Colorado to the "Ohio Beach" every summer for vacation. Your report on Lakeside did a great job of capturing this wonderful place. I was disappointed, though, that there was no feature of the Rhein Center for the Arts. Offering hundreds of classes to thousands of students every summer, it is my favorite place to spend time in Lakeside. There is a huge and unique offering every week of fine arts classes - You can make a stained glass panel, learn to throw pots on the wheel, learn water color, perspective sketching, silk painting... There are improv theater classes and tap and ballroom dancing and ukulele lessons. Don't consider yourself an artist? Come create a "lake Erie in a bottle" or dice for "yardzee" - the jumbo sized yard version of Yatzee, fold paper airplanes, make a stepping stone for your garden or a wind chime for your porch. And no trip to Lakeside is complete until you have painted a rock!
