Interesting fact, Kite never used Gold Rat, but Vetrix did. After he beat Kite and took all his Numbers, he faced Yuma in the Finals, and they Dueled on a Sphere Feild Field Spell, which allows one to use two Monsters from their hands as Xyz Material to Summon a random Number Monster from their Extra Deck ignoring summoning conditions like needing more than two material or specific material, so Vetrix only summoned it by accident because of a random effect, so even in the anime characters can brick sometimes. lol.

Gate Guardian was actualy pretty broken under Labyrinth Ruleset. The fact it needs 3 pieces to summon is barely an issue since the opposing team can't destroy them unless they reach the exit, (which is an instant win anyways), and reaching the exit was already hard enough with all the monsters that were designed to exploit the special rules. Then Gate Guardian comes in and it can attack anything in the Labirinth without leaving the Safe Zone, and the few monsters who can run over it can't reach Gate Guardian because flyers aren't allowed to move. Under standard rules, it becomes much easier to destroy, to the point that the Paradox need a backup plan.
Anime Gate Guardian is difficult to grade because its three pieces appear as boxes, not monsters, so maybe they never needed to be tributed to summon in the anime? Of course, they're in Duelist Kingdom and playing a "Labyrinth duel" so who knows exactly how Gate Guardian is supposed to function. It doesn't help that in GX he functions more like the real world version, but then you have his "upgrade" Dark Guardian to consider.
One can just see that gate guardian was made for the original ruleset(As inconsistant as that was) of the materials not working until the guardian hit the field once and normalsummons not taking tributes. Though tbh, it's kinda sussy if that deck would even be useful in that environment too. Unless one has some specific support going on, you need three normal summons to summon it and you summon these guys as unusable bricks that could theoretically be removed before the true menace even hits the field. I guess the positive is that one doesn't need a fourth specific card since even tho it is vaguely considered a fusion here, it does not need Poly because it just automatically completes itself when all three materials are out.
To be fair, Gate Guardian came from the arc when tribute summon is not in the rule. So you can straight up summon it from your hand. And consider how it was summoned in the manga, it should be a fusion monster that used the summoning mechanic of the XYZ dragon cannon.
technically seen with can't u use Scapegoat for Mad Profiler? It's not a Tribute summon and it won't cost u anything. (given u use Scapegoat in the opponent's end phase) i can see some mad strats with him (No pun intended
9:30 to be fair send 5 monsters from the deck to the graveyard in modern yugioh is busted so doing that for cost is literally insane since you get to pick the cards you send not to mention the one sided final destiny effect and the only bad part of this monster is the summoning condition
Royal Straight Slasher would be broken if the cards needed to make it were worth playing. Dumping 5 cards is usually pretty good. A one sided board wipe on top of it is broken. It is simply not the best option, but it is still definitely workable. An easy link 5.

My least favorite protagonist is Yusaku. Edgy, boring, drab lead who never loses, I can never relate to and doesn't have a single original character defining moment I can think of that the previous protagonists didn't do better. Souburner was a better protagonist.
But Yusaku addresses the previous protagonist complaints of how he's an asshole rather than boring goody two shoes and he eliminated situational jank with Firewall type.
About Gate Guardian, there’s even more of a reason not to play it and that’s due to what Kazejin, Suijin and Santa can make besides it. In XYZ alone, you currently have: -CXyz Simon the Great Moral Leader -Dark Armed, the Dragon of Annihilation -Kshatri-La Shangri-La -Legendary Magician of Dark (Unfortunately cannot be used in a duel) -Number 7: Lucky Straight And -Number C6: Chronomaly Chaos Atlantis And there’s also pretty much all the Link 3 options, including the Black Luster one.
When Chumley has a better boss monster than you, you know you are in trouble. At least Master of Oz has a lot of attack points and is not too hard to summon.
So, would Gate guardian even work as an xyz monster that needs any 3 level 7 monsters, and just had the effect that it could attack 3 times and remove one material for it to not be destroyed the first 3 times? I feel like even in that situation which is for all intents and purposes a huge buff, the cost would be way too high for the effect and you'd rather just have the 3 level 7 monsters lol.
Least fav protag is still Yuya. He started fine, and I like his motifs, but they got overdone, and he didn't earn several of his wins. His fall to darkness was also less graceful than Jaden's, the one he was written to resemble the most. It's gonna sound weird that Arc-V is my favorite spinoff, and part of that is from also dropping the ball hardest.
Now that I know Royal Straight Slasher's anime equivalent is so inconsistently terrible, I would like to compare that to this Jada. In a game I play called Poker Quest, there is a megacatapult item that for eight poker cards inflicts a strong curse (which inflicts damage in game through an affected item not being used each turn) for exactly eight poker cards (from a single deck of 52 playing cards). It has a bonus effect of more curse if the cards used make four pairs. Though I have not used this item personally in game yet, I think I have a better chance of pulling off the four pairs for the bonus that actually summong Royal Straight Slasher consistently.
The jester isn’t that bad you could side it in a ritual deck to out towers in attack position like a rival of the cyberse and ultimate falcon so I don’t think it’s that bad
Half the cards you listed were not boss monsters. Egyptian God Slime and Royal Straight Slasher are not, by any stretch of the word, boss monsters. EGS is an extender and RSS is an alternate to Arcana Knight Joker.
Max Profilder doesn’t deserve to be on this list. Simply because he specializes himself and doesn’t waste your normal Sure you go -3 and lose another for his banish, but the fact that he doesn’t need a normal and has an easy removal effect makes him way too good for this list. Yes it’s bad card economy but still playable… somewhat

This means, for example, doing a halqdon line (plenty of 1 card combos do this) is an easy way to summon this guy (the tributes just have to be 3 monsters and it's a special summon from hand so you can easily tribute tokens for cost). You could then banish someone's dragoon for example if they top decked red eyes fusion (rest in pieces anaconda) It's not a fantastic card or anything. But I could realistically see this go in someone's side deck and actually have success. Also, it's not once per turn. So going second, if you did a 1 card halqdon combo to summon him, you could theoretically banish a whole board (you'd have 4 banishes to be exact) which actually sounds hilarious but pretty impractical (Of course, halqdon also got gutted just like anaconda, so this specific setup wouldn't work)

And he does the stupidest things and somehow almost always win because of plot armour. They should replace him with Daichi Misawa and it would've made GX a much better show

that effect is inaccurate, it was always monsters from level 1-5, like he said in the video.
