I've got one hiding around here somewhere. I didn't think to much about it but you are right about this card. I don't know how much memory is on it though.
the 1st PC i chose pc-parts by myself was my 1999 PC ,PentiumIII@550MHz & *nVIDIA Riva TNT2Ultra* . some of the games i played to ..."death" back then were the demos of Half- Life & Quake 3:Arena ,incredible graphics from both of these games and i'm surprised you didn't test them ,especially since you own Quake 3:Arena.
Finally an interesting GPU on the channel after all this modern rubbish :) Well yes, I asked for newer version of GPU-Z but that was for the more modern AGP cards, the 4x/8x ones with the newer notch. If we going back to AGP 2x with the old notch, sure, use old GPU-Z. This PC is perfect for AGP 2x cards testing, some Voodoo action and other stuff. And I would suggest Windows 98 SE with Fraps 1.9d, CPU-Z Vintage Edition, and old Everest free version or HWINFO for hardware showcasing on this PC...if you dare :) Also do not adjust your eyesight, the VGA output is that blurry :)
@@pangoomis this is the cleanest out I have. For the last couple of months I only had problems converting this vga to hdmi. Lines, dots, colors, artefacts, you name it. In had them all.
If the Intel 740 wasn't able to run Doom, Doom II, Rise of The Triad, Duke Nukem 3D, Blood, Shadow Warrior Classic, Diablo, Mech Warrior 2, Star Wars Dark Forces, Star Wars Jedi Knight Dark Forces II, Star Wars Rogue Squadron, Star Wars Xwing vs Tie Fighter, System Shock, Quake and Half Life above 30 fps then the intel 740 wasn't a good gpu in my personal opinion.
ah remember the first pc my mother got from a flea market as a kid . old ass ibm aptiva (forget the model) but played the crap out of nfsII and Diablo and half life.
I think this is fake review - i740 not support NFS II, Diablo 2 and MDK in D3D mode. NFS3 has green smoke on i740 not black. This is Voodoo 1 review :)
Thank you Daniel! I look forward to your uploads frequently.
My pleasure!
this guy have world all gpu card

Thanks again!
I had one of these in my PIII 500 machine. It wasn't a bad card at all.

@DanielC I had i740 with 8MB VRAM, on a Slot1 MBO with Celeron 300 and it could run NFS3 in Direct3D 640*480. Check your drivers, something is off.
What win did you had?
Opengl its only supported in Windows 98 in the drivers. Windows xp has the drivers and its compatible but not support for opengl.
@@DanielCardei now that you mention it, it was year 1999. and 2000., so it must have been Win98.

Whole video on software render, show some D3D render to see the real perf of the GPU
Unfortunately i don`t have windows 98 on this machine.
I want to play Cyberpunk 2077 with i740 with ray tracing enabled
You have to use vsync. It will stuttuter from to many fps.
No no 1fps in one hour
Pretty good
nice very old gpu.. i have one Voodoo 3 3000 AGP lol
I have a higher chance to get an RTX 40 series
Bro its so old
you think you could get your hands on a geforce 2? half life 2 with dx6 on that would be a trip
oh shoot just noticed you have a vid on one
i think my older pc with intel extreme graphic 2 is faster than this one lmao

Its not much slower than their newest GPU 🤣
Dude I just moved on from an Arc A770. Worst gpu experience I've had.
