  • Capitol Reef National Park, located in south-central Utah, is a hidden gem within the state's array of national parks. Established in 1971, the park spans over 979 km² and is renowned for its unique geological formations, rich history, and diverse ecosystems.
Capitol Reef derives its name from two distinct features: the white Navajo Sandstone domes that resemble the United States Capitol building, and the term "reef," used by early settlers to describe the impassable rocky barriers.
Today the park offers a wide range of recreational activities, including camping, hiking trails, rock climbing, and scenic drives along routes like the Capitol Reef Scenic Drive (starting from 00:40) and the Cathedral Valley Loop (starting from 03:01).
Scenic viewpoints from the Cathedral Valley Loop include:
    - Temple of the Sun (04:27)
    - Glass Mountain (04:37)
    - Temple of the Moon (04:58)
    - Cathedral Valley (05:27)
