"Passion, perseverance, hard work, discipline, determination and dedication, are the key to Success!" For more than a decade of existence and ten (10) years of competing in different competitions, Mauban Community Rondalla (MCR) and Mauban South District Children’s Rondalla (MSDCR) brought honor and pride not only in Quezon province but in the country as well.
Mauban Community Rondalla (MCR) and Mauban South District Children’s Rondalla (MSDCR) are composed of talented Maubanin youths coming from different schools in the municipality of Mauban, Quezon. These were established in March 16, 2008 with the help of one of the founders of Pambansang Samahan ng Rondalla (PASARON) in the year 80’s and who had been a mentor of rondalla music in Quezon Province, the late Prof. Teodorico T. Cosejo of Lucban, Quezon.
The groups showcase a wide repertoire ranging from tagalog to classical music. For more than a decade of corporality, the MCR and MSDCR has excelled in different aspects of performing arts and left a trademark in every competition with a battle cry “One String, One Heart, One Soul, One Music”.
The National Music Competition for Young Artists (NAMCYA), was a prestigious competition occasionally participated by the group since 2011. Mauban Community Rondalla and Mauban South District Children’s Rondalla are recipients of the following awards in NAMCYA: Regional Qualifier in 2011, Finalist in 2019, Honorable Mention in 2013 and 2015, Second Place in 2014 and 2016, Third Place in 2018 and Grand Champion in 2017.
