I've been playing this for days now, so far my fav mech of all the ones I own! I changed mine to 2 HML instead of the 6 ERSL. I lose 10 dmg but cooling goes up to 1.5... fron 1.2... It also allows for another 1.5t ammo. I also took a few more points in armor instead of extra points in cool shots.... I avg 500+ dmg per game and have had matches of over 800, depending on my team strategy etc. LOVE this mech! And JJ not required!
Nice build. Almost as nice as the jumpy ATM huntsman. But my true love is still the ATM48 scorch :). Fast enough to get into the sweet zone, heavy enough to drop the hammer on whoever's unfortunate enough to be in front of it. Demolishing anything short of an assault mech in 1-2 volleys is delicious.
Same, except my version's on a Mad Dog. I usually play the Revenant for the c-bill bonus and CT energy hardpoints but the Prime torsos have very, very good quirks.
You absolutely need the JJs. Take lots of ammo and barely any secondaries. I run 3 atm9s, lots of ammo, light tag (you shouldn’t be firing ATMs past 300m), JJ, and I think a couple of ER smalls or micros for backup. Easy 1k damage in that
the -4 variant has some offensive quirks to make up for the lack of JJs Plus the extra firepower is totally worth it if a mech underruns your ATMs This one still has a 30 damage alpha with lasers alone - enough to ruin some light mechs that come at you
Vapor Eagle's are god damn annoying to fight. If they can jump. Not everyone has the skill, the lucky horse shoe up their butts like a certain someone, or both :P

I like that. The only thing I would do on my build is to drop the tag to a light tag and add another half ton of ammo. :)

One of my favorite ATM builds is very close to this, except on a Huntsman.

I'd take the VGL-3 just for the JJs, the extra firepower isn't worth the mobility in an ATM VGL build IMO
