    what do you use to record with the lenses? I’ve got the anamorphic lens but i don’t know how to get the black bars

    Do you think they are that good for the price they are worth? and are they really good or would you recommend another brand of lenses?

      Right now polar pro doesn’t have the lenses out . Their rig is great but it doesn’t have lenses. Moment cases are on back order so you can’t really use their lenses. So I think right now shift cam is the best

    I got all of the lenses they have in the professional kit, and I find several of them, with the Iphone 13 pro max, to be blurry. The 12mm is not only worse under mid to low light conditions, but it is soft on the sides and sharp only in the very middle. The fisheye is, well, gimicky in that you get the fisheye image, but there is so much blur and aberrations that any attempt to even zoom a milimeter, is just an exercise on blured photogrpahy. The others are ok, but in my setup, they are all soft and prone to blurring. Anyone else had that experience?

    • @lazyhominid
      @lazyhominid 2 роки тому +4

      Adding a fisheye and then zooming goes against the purpose of adding the fisheye in the first place? Yes, adding a lens will degrade quality, but it will allow for specific effects which can not be done with the camera as is. Like fisheye, and anamorphic.

      @@lazyhominid good point, and very true, I mean that the image decomposes very quickly into blur as opposed, for example, with the moment Lens.
      Maybe zoom is a poor choice of words, open the picture in anything other than the phone screen and you see it. This is with most of their lenses, they are way less sharp than moment.

    Quick question have you tested or tried a moment lens with the shiftcam in-case mount? Just curious as to whether it fits or works with shiftcam mount.

    • @TechinfluenceTV
      @TechinfluenceTV  2 роки тому +1

      No the moment lens is a M mount. It has wings that attach. The shift cam lens screw the into the mount

      @@TechinfluenceTV will try that. ShiftCam have said the primary camera is the bottom one not the top but in your videos it looks like you are using the top camera can you confirm? Are you also using a third party camera app? If so which one?

    Lenses were a total fail for us on iPhone 13 Pro no matter how we tested them in the native photo app or Lightroom. Lots of blurring and distortion.

      I just received the Shiftcam lens and starting to think I regret it. Not a lot of reviews or really any reviews on it. Was debating on whether to purchase the lens, & thinking I just wasted a load of money since their return policy is a joke making it hard to return.

    • @yourcreativebrief

      @@HayesByeGrey Lenses total fail for us too. Purchasing directly from Shiftcam and returning anything to them was a total nightmare. I think they outsource their customer service. I finally reached a different rep than Clarisse. Once I had him things started happening, but I had to convince them it was their lenses, not my user error or phone. Then I had to deal with the shipping back overseas and time for refund. Honestly, I don't see how anyone can get these lenses to work without massive blurring or distortion. Good luck.

    You’re basically putting an extra filter/variable for blurriness. At the end of the day the image/light has to pass through the small phone lens anyway. Instead now it has to pass through two lenses, hence the loss in sharpness :/ stick to real cameras if you want to invest into photography or videography

    • @josephmuglia4204

      Naturally DSLRs are better, mirrorless are higher quality, etc. but perhaps people don’t have the extra money to dabble in expensive gear. I happen to have both and these lenses are pretty cool and pretty fun. If you set them up properly with the case/lens adapter you won’t get blurriness. Every photographer will weigh in and say these lenses aren’t worth it but I have a 13pro and attaching these lenses have added some very interesting perspectives and very clear, great results. Really good quality lenses and super fun to use.
