Can’t wait for the Made It Out podcast episode! Two pod worlds are colliding. 🥰 Also Taryn thanks so much for continuously sharing your story and advocating for others on what it’s like being LGBTQ+ in church world. It’s definitely a layered topic to break down and you do such a great job of explaining it while staying true to yourself and your beliefs. 😇
The answer to the PP question healed something in me. Had a similar situation a few years ago and I wish I had someone like you guys to help me accept the situation in a healthy way. Sending love from Serbia (no, not Siberia, Serbia 😅)
Hey not trying to nitpick at all but as a trans person I feel compelled to say that talking about how penises are “nasty” and you shouldn’t be talking about them in a lesbian podcast is unintentionally exclusionary. Like, trans lesbians exist and I can imagine how hearing that would not feel good. Anyway, I appreciate the content every week 💕💕 I hope you feel better soon Taryn!!
well now I want queso fundido 😅 fun fact... I grew up in the San Fernando Valley and Dad's friend had a restaurant we'd go weekly and younger sis and I (both under 10yo) would get virgin Shirley Temples and queso fundido with chorizo and corn tortillas 😋 y'all gotta try the vegan version I made it for Mom and she loved it
As a nonbinary person I can say that the packaging of behaviors and appearance into genders is incredibly frustrating and painful. Instead of “men do this” or “women do that”. I really just wish we were allowed to choose what we want to do as individuals.
I don’t think a “non-binary” label is necessary to free a person from gender stereotypes. I look at it as “most women/men are likely to do this….”, not that I have to do it. I’m a black lesbian and I do what is best for me and my loved ones. Whatever stereotypes associated with my race, sex, sexuality are just stereotypes. Some I follow and some I don’t 🤷🏾♀️
Then how do you know you are non binary if you don't feel like a man or a woman? I'm not being mean. I just don't understand. What is a man? What is a woman? You know? Society made up what men are supposed to do and look like and what women do and are supposed to look like. None of it is real. Back in the day men wore dresses. Women were not allowed to wear pants. I think.
I'll solve your Jesus conundrum. He lived on the Earth for 40 days after resurrection and then ascended into heaven on a cloud in front of his disciples. Your welcome, from another ex-churchy lesbian.
You can't manage every risk associated with life. I'm sorry to mention this but how many mass shootings occur in the USA and at schools. Will you not let your kids go to school, cross the road, play in the park etc.

Thanks for being vulnerable about family dynamics. I'm sure hard for you, but helpful for others.

it’s okay for cis lesbians to not like penises, though… i don’t think it’s meant to come across as exclusionary.
Fellow trans lesbian here and in agreement! 👋🏿♥️
um that intro was crazy considering this was my first time watching them
totally off topic but i gotta say it. Taryn, you look particularly pretty this episode. i don't know what it is, but you go, girl!
I'm really proud of myself for pausing and solving this riddle, and I think I should relax since it isn't that serious, lol.
