Nothing ironic about that because the reason why he moved back then was to be with his family because, after all, he was a filming a show that was supposed to last for a while and he wanted to have his family close of course. :3 He never left Copenhagen for good and he still lives there with his family now that he´s not shooting Hannibal. He even said in a recent interview that he belongs to Denmark ;) I think that answers your question :)
