I’m of two minds about the Mania main event thing. Can’t argue that both Rumble winners should get main event title matches, that just seems like a no-brainer with Mania being two nights. But I also believe that world title matches aren’t always the biggest matches on a card by default, and when you look at recent moments like Sami & KO winning the tag titles or KO vs Stone Cold it’s hard to imagine them coming earlier in the show.

I was just rewatching and remembered that Joe Hendry did an interview where he said he “knows” that he will face John cena and tells a story of how he couldn’t go to a meet and greet with a friend and cena spoke to him on the phone for far longer than anyone would have expected.
I would love to see a Smackdown segment with Joe Hendry and John Cena!!!

I took many YEARS off from watching wrestling and upon return I see that it absolutely sucks. Everyone cuts the lamest, corniest promos aside from TWO people and one of them is Logan Paul for the love of Christ. In-ring work is way too predictable and seems too obviously choreographed. Stop kicking out of finishers. It's not a surprise when you know it's going to happen 3 or 4 times before the pin. And they're still moving the cameras too much. The more slick they try to make the production look the more fake it looks. Wrestling has to be as believable as possible in and out of the ring. Also the commentators suck and these cartoonish, way too over the top ring announcers suck.

I think when it comes to Toni Storms reveal, the problem isnt really that it was on collision, as they should be doing things on collision. The real problem is that they have *never* given us a reason to watch collision. Look at the card that was on that night, it was nothing but predictable matches. Nothing that ment anything.
Book Collision like an A show please TK. I need a reason to give a damn enough to tune in in the first place to enjoy the surprises.

First surprise return of Royal Rumble Week is Alex Queen of the Ring!
My hot take is that the HOF should be 1 man, 1 woman, one tag team/faction. The celeb wing could end up as a list of problematic characters and it’s not worth it. JG should win the rumble, that woman is a beast and I don’t see a stand out favourite that I personally want to see.
I think AEW's Women's division has improved from where it was but still has a lot of work to do

I dont know if its a hot take but its how i feel. After having a career best year in 2024 i really feel like Liv should win. Given that she just lost title i get that she shouldnt win but she's also the runner up of the last 2 rumbles. Maybe liv will get her rumble win in the next 2 years.

I don't watch AEW but the podcasts I listen to covering it are largely trashing the mens division across the shows and praising the womens stuff. AEW shifting to a womens focused wrestling program when mens stuff taking up 20 percent of the show would probably improve the shows at this point. Fun fact...NXT is being discussed in a similar way. People are less negative about the mens division in NXT but its talked about as though NXT is women first and then men secondary which is refreshing.

give the women of AEW two segments a match and a promo/interview/skit/shorter match a week or make them the focus of one show they don't have to be the only thing on the card but if they want their women's division to be a big deal they have to make them a big deal it took one rebellious champ, a frustrated locker room, seven or thirteen women and a committed booker to build the revolution, (I.Y.W.T.K. NXT 2014, 4 horse women)

The AEW'S womens division is stacked and all we see is Tony Storm, not going to lie the storyline being told is ass! Mercedes Mone is NOT worth the tv time and booking. Her promo work is STILL trash!! They just put Kenny's belt collecter on Mone is dumb and uninspired! Athena being trapped in ROH is total bullshit!! She has wild talent and should be on live TV every week! Nyla Rose should be on TV every week, she is great in the ring and comedy GOLD! The ball has been dropped with the women. Tony Khan doesnt know what he is doing clearly!!
