    Amazing, thank you very much. Supper helpful. Used tabular method at the end to calculate the seek time with "From Cylinder", "To Cylinder", and "Seek Time" columns to add up to get "Total Seek Time". Thanks again, super helpful!!!!

    When head move over 1000th cylinder for the first time, we have two new requests: 500 and 135. My question is, does head move to handle these requests immediately after 1022? In my opinion, that would be some sort of new Disk sheduling alghoritm.

    does cylinders equal to tracks?? or sectors??
    someone please clear this out

    • @rahulchauhan.
      @rahulchauhan. 7 років тому +1

      the hard disk plate is divided into tracks co-centrically and each track is divided into sectors.
      www.google.co.in/search?q=tracks+in+hard+disk&espv=2&biw=1280&bih=604&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjX4drv4JHQAhVIq48KHS3UD00Q_AUIBigB#imgrc=1Y4V7cM9ah9oQM%3A
      and CYLINDER is nothing but the collection of all the tracks just below ,
      [VISUALIZE cylinder of maths i.e collection of circles]
      because you see hard disk isnt a single disk its a stack of several disks.
      If in a question it is given say 78 cylinders then its as good as saying 78 tracks.
