There are "green" bags made especially for storing produce in the fridge which extend the life of veggies and fruits. They're not expensive, can be washed and re-used. I don't know, though, where they're sold. QVC is where I bought mine so long ago I have none left - lol.
The grilled chicken sandwiches are good, my grandchildren like them also. You will love the Johnnys Garlic Spread, it is good for making garlic bread but also great to add to soups, rice, and marinating and sprinkling over baked chicken. yum
After washing wrap lettuce with paper towel store in ziploc bag.
The garlic spread seasoning is really good. I keep it stocked in my pantry.
We have enjoyed it!
Premier protein are my every day breakfast. My hubby and I love them.
I trim the stem ends of the romaine and stand it them up in a pitcher with an inch of water and a little bit of white vinegar. ( change water every once in a while). The celery keeps well if you trim the end off rinse the stalks under running water. Get some paper towels and lay the celery on it.Roll the celery and paper towel up in a wide piece of tin foil (18") .Unroll it as needed and roll back up again till next time needed, lasts for weeks.
Those a great tips! Thank you!!

The Romaine stays pretty good on it's own for 2 weeks in that packaging. I also will wash, spin and tear (only cut if serving right away) and put with a paper towel in a zip lock bag. The spinach.....I can use almost half a big bag on our breakfast bake each week. Then I try to again, wash, spin and put in a zip lock with a paper towel for salad. The chicken sandwiches ARE good, though since we are low carb we don't buy them now. It is only the two of us and about once a week my daughter, her husband and my two granddaughters and we do about 75% of all grocery shopping at Costco. We used to drive 3 hours about once a quarter and spent about that much when our girls were growing up. Now it is about 2 blocks from our business so my husband likes to go over there and troll for items ending in 97 cents (their lowest price) and has gotten lots of good stuff for gifts, etc. We even buy 5 doz eggs occasionally, though more recently DH has bought the 2 packs of 2 dozen. We also get our all our prescription medications along with over-the-counter meds at Costco, vitamins, etc, soap, deodorant, everything you can think of!
Thank you for the romaine/spinach storage tips - I'm going to do that on our next haul! I also didn't know about the .97 tip - that's good to know!!! Sounds like y'all have got your Costco system down pat!!
There is a recall on ritz crackers and gold fish crackers. Check it out.
I see a lot of Kirkland Brand items, is that Costco's brand name? One thing I would suggest that really stretches out and is great for kids: a whole pork loin. I simply cut it in half, turn it fat side up with a generous dry rub of a barbeque/southewest mix. I fill the slow cooker to just under the top of the loin with chicken broth and cook it for about 10 hours. It makes an amazing pulled pork filling that I add refried beans and spanish rice that stores in the fridge for up to a week. The kids love it because they can choose what size tortilla (burrito, fajita, taco etc) or put it on top of doritos etc. Sometimes I'll take half of the lloin and add barbeque sauce for pulled pork sandwiches out of the same batch as the taco mix. It is very economical from Costco or Sams.
tortureyou Kirkland is the Costco brand :)
I have learned to keep the first bag you open on those double loaves as a second layer helps with freezer burn
That makes sense! Thank you for sharing!!
Awesome haul
Thank you!!
Keep the Romaine in Debbie Myers Green Boxes. You can also keep crackers Cookies and Bread and all Fruit in them too. I think she appeares on QVC or HSN. I lucked up and found the Boxes at Ross, Loved your Haul. You gave some Great Meal Ideas. Much LOVE from Georgia.
Oooh! Those sound interesting! I'll need to look around! Thanks for the suggestion!

I’ve heard the organic yogurt tubes don’t freeze well :(.
Oh no! Really? That’s not good!! Bummer!! 😟
Mine are frozen in my deep freezer right now
They freeze great! That's the only way my kids eat them
My kids have had no issue with them being frozen. Which is good since we bought those three big boxes! Ha!

Member only sale? That sounds like an oxymoron
You can buy things there as a non-member. They just add a fee. 😊
The only way you can shop without a membership is by having a gift card. People who do that do NOT get the coupon price
