Love this book! ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxpCNxqmAkyjN6NPx1fyB7QiEFWyO5mUWL it is simply one-of-a-kind! I really love it, because karah explained all tools required to have the job done, not mentioning the fabulous diy pallets ideas. I'm pretty sure this will be a fresh start in my new endeavour. Amazon was great, they delivered on time. Thank you!
My Dude I LOVE your “experimentation and learning” mentality!! It’s such a great motivation to not be afraid to fail but rather take the lessons learned and improve!! Great project man!!!
Super impressive how you worked round into straight with such hard material and the blade sharpening jig was so simple and yet so useable and safe, super useful! Thank you for sharing!
The wooden angle block for sharpening is super simple, and very effective. Clever use of some wide head screws too. Easy enough to touch up if it gets used.
Jimmy, your description of what you did on this project on the podcast was, like your craftsmanship, excellent. I knew exactly the process from your explanation. Story telling is another art you have mastered. Thank you for the video 👍
I was given to me the day before by Rob Rojas. He works at a saw mill. When I get old blades I don’t keep them in my pocket…. I keep them with the old saw blade pile.
Aaah. I've been subscribed for 7-ish years, but cause of the dreaded algorithm, your videos got lost (until today!). I'm so glad to see that you're still around and doing awesome! 😍. Gonna binge 7+ years worth the videos now.
"Alright, Jimmy, let's talk about your blade here. It has a nice shape. The handle fits nicely. The blade doesn't have any cracks or delaminations. Your blade will KEAL!" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I love the shape of that Machete as it reminds me of a sword that was in the film "The Old Guard". If anyone knows, I'd love to know...... and it gives me an excuse to watch this video again 😊👍👍👍👍👍
One of these days you're gonna be testing the sharpness on your arm hair and one of those roosters is gonna jump at you and you're gonna lose an arm.... Love the work!!
Nice work..I didn't realize how dangerous it was belt sanding a Machete, until that blade flew off the machine...Wow !! Glad your ok. Thanks for the vids
I am always in awe of your blacksmithing talent! To take a useless old saw blade and turn it into a work of art is amazing. Yea I would hang it on my wall and what a conversation piece it would be! Do you know who made this? Do you know what this machete use to be? No, it’s not for sale for any price because Jimmy Diresta made it. 😊 Thanks for always bringing inspirational content to your channel!
Each time there is a slow motion in your video, I expect some little accident happening, always surprised by it just being casual slow-mo shot... but today the accident is there! :D Glad that it was nothing serious, I never wish any harm. It's just that my brain is programmed by other creators to expect it :D
Hola! 🖐 Don't know why I hadn't done it before but I finally subscribed today! Really enjoyed the video, I jumped back when I saw that blade fly off your hands - yikes! 😱Take care and have a good one, Adios! 👊
Thank you Lightstream !

Love the transparency Jimmy has with his viewers. When he makes mistakes he shares them and learns from them!

Man I have been a fan ever since I saw you skin a couch on TV. Amazing progression of talent.
Without modern tools one would never think about making a blade like this, thanks for all you do to support the craft🤗😎🤗😎
You do have the touch!
Buen trabajo. Saludos desde Lima Perú 🇵🇪.

I love the shiny non rusted blade that just happened to be sitting outside in the rusted metal pile ready to be randomly picked up for this project.
I was given to me the day before by Rob Rojas. He works at a saw mill. When I get old blades I don’t keep them in my pocket…. I keep them with the old saw blade pile.
The theme of knives and axes is the most favorite.
Liked the way you started using the bellows you made.
I wish you and your family a great weekend. Thanks for all the great videos over many years. It is always smart to practise and learn
I dont have debt but I like Jimmy
It never gets old, watching you making a big knife or machete.
Nice work brother.
That’s awesome. It was cool to see that come into shape. Looks like a good exercise and learning experience.
Now that is a beautiful blade jimmy
Great craft channel. Much love from Singapore!
I could watch black smithing all day...
Thanks Jimmy!!!
Thanks Jimmy for continuing to make project videos unlike some of those channels who have gone full blabber in the pursuit of those youtube $$
🙏🏼👊🏼👊🏼
As usual, it’s good to see the interesting projects you come up with to reuse materials and learn new techniques.
Jimmy the best as always
You may not even agree with me but I think you are a master at everything you do.
😇
An exercise in making funtional tools. Great work.
So cool to see it come together from start to finish!
Very nice! You are the knife king Jimmy!
Wall hanger?! Looks like it'll do the job just fine! Nice blade. Be proud, Diresta.
Always enjoy your creations.
Thanks for sharing and inspiring the rest of us.
Ok that was cool! I'm gonna save saw blades now along with all the old mower blades I already save!
I’m sure Danny Trejo would approve! 😎

Brazilian Rosewood Handle 👌🏼
One of these days you're gonna be testing the sharpness on your arm hair and one of those roosters is gonna jump at you and you're gonna lose an arm.... Love the work!!
Jimmy reminds me of Gilgamesh from Final Fantasy; 6 arms with a homemade blade in each! I love what you did here to prove it can be done.
Very COOL I could use that in the backyard.
Guy just man handling red hot with the box boy gloves on!
Wow, a very good quality sanding belt! @09:01

I definitely tensed up
Технику безопасности знаю, как свои три пальца.)
Now just needs the DIRESTA logo etched in the blade.
This would appear to be a good time to interest you in carbide drill and milling bits, as well as diamond and CBN grinding and sharpening tools.
Jimmy, I like your steel- toe safety slip ons.
Danny Trejo love this!!!! 😂😂😂😂
Hola! 🖐 Don't know why I hadn't done it before but I finally subscribed today! Really enjoyed the video, I jumped back when I saw that blade fly off your hands - yikes! 😱Take care and have a good one, Adios! 👊

Great video ! When I listened to you on making it I imagined that you had left the saw teeth on the back but now this makes a lot more
Sense haha 😂
Really amazing work, Jimmy! 😃

If sabre can slice a pizza, it's legit. Nice job 👍
Man I would love to have one just like that one
Looks pretty cool to me. I thought machetes were not really heat treated anyway to retain springiness ?.
