    Thank you for this video. Very helpful. One feedback I have is to use light mode instead of dark mode for showing things on the screen, it's easier to see because youtube is in light mode.

    Hello Andy!! I had just found your videos about a week ago and where have they been hiding?! Working at a district and just moving over to Azure from Novell I was lost but wow what a content extravaganza for my eyes concerning Microsoft. One thing that I have heard from a Microsoft rep at one of our Edu conventions is that on prem AD will go away and Azure will be the only player and this was a year ago and they were quite clear that yes AD was going to Azure AD (and by the looks of this video they are doing it). Can you yea or nay that info? Other than that I have your videos on my saved list and sharing them with all my co-workers since we are all in the same boat. Great Work!!

      Hi James, great to have you on board and welcome to my channel. I would probably agree with your friend in the active directory is now considered legacy. Azure AD is the cloud version and definitely something to learn the best documentation can be found at learn.microsoft.com and I also have lots of videos in the identity playlist which you might want to take a look at. Anyway thanks very much and enjoy my channel. Andy

    Goodness Andy! As a Business Premium user and small biz owner I've been avoiding Entra, thinking "ok now what is this new thing I have to learn!" But wow did you point out that Microsoft sure seems to be trying to help small biz guys like me. And thank you. As a former educator myself, you're a fantastic teacher. Well done! I read the MS documentation. I subscribe to various UA-cam Channels to hear different perspectives but yours is the gold standard. Thank you.

    Hello Andy, as always thanks for the great video - really appreciate your content! I have another question regarding MFA. I read in an article a while ago that MFA will be made mandatory by microsoft for every user and can only be disabled using conditional access policys - do you know when or rather if this change will actually take place?

    • @AndyMaloneMVP

      Hi David, I believe it’s very shortly, possibly as early as March this year. All users in Microsoft 365 will be required to use NFA as a second authentication mechanism.

    • @AndyMaloneMVP
      @AndyMaloneMVP  Рік тому +2

      As I’ve said 1000 times passwords are so 90s and will soon be a thing of the past. If you’re using MFA it doesn’t really matter what the password is. Try and encourage your users to use multifactor authentication or even password. Plus authentication using biometrics. You’ll be 1000 times more secure. Delighted to hear that. You’re enjoying the channel though, all the best, Andy.
