The Nogitsune was my favourite character, Dylan did an incredible job at portraying a villain like this creature. I mean he’s so badass and he’s a villain that isn’t easy to destroy or trick.

I think that the reason why it chooses stiles is because of all the reasons Derek mentioned. He is so innocent that it would cause more chaos if he was the one making the trouble, cause more pain if he was the one delivering the pain. Stiles had so many people that cared about him, that it thought that it would be invincible inside of Stiles' body.
and also his mind was the easiest to get into since his mind was open from the nematon (however you spell it). void couldn't choose Scott cause Scott's a werewolf so the wolf vs fox thing would be an issue and also like you said, stiles was the best choice since so many people cared about him, but also cause he knew the most

I don't think dylan is appreciated much for his acting here. My god, for half a season I was so scared of him even though i love him a lot and him being my favourite actor.
