Blake Shelton, pronghorns and mountain lions

We introduce you to a new program called "Fostering Outdoor Oklahoma Families", which is a collaborative effort between the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation, the Oklahoma Department of Human Services and the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Foundation. Foundation board member and country music star Blake Shelton hosted a group of kids and their families for a day of fishing fun.
Our second segment takes you to Cimarron county in the panhandle of Oklahoma as we follow along with wildlife biologists as they do aerial surveys for pronghorns.
Finally, we end this episode with a fun and educational piece that takes a look at how the ODWC's furbearer biologist conduct mountain lion sighting investigations.

I grew up hunting and my husband introduced me to fishing. Thanks to all who get kids outdoors. It is important to do this because then they can understand conservation and not enviromentalism.
