Flash Masters recognises and celebrate the best flash photography in the world through education, awards and community. Launched in September 2022, Flash Masters is the place to learn about all things flash - from finding out how the best and most creative photographs were created, through to inspiration and education.
Flash Masters Ambassadors include the very best flash photographers in the world: Jesse and Moira La Plante, Amber Henry, Arno de Bruijn, Tanya Parada, Scott Josuweit, Ralph from Eppel Photography, Andre Brown, Marlies Hartmann, Ben Connolly, Jos and Tree Wordsmith and Zhuo-Ya.
We are also extremely pleased to be joined by our incredible sponsors: MagMod, Studio Ninja, Imagen, Pic-Time, nPhoto and Geekoto.
In this video hosted by Neil Redfern, the first of our regular interviews where we take you behind the scenes on how the best and most creative flash photography was taken, we speak to the amazingly talented Jesse and Moira La Plante - who are two of the best wedding photographers in the world.
Jesse and Moira have won countless awards for their wedding photography and they are Ambassadors for MagMod.
A huge thank you to Jessie and Moira for sharing so much fantastic wedding photography inspiration and advice - you are both incredible photographers and amazing people.

This was an absolute pleasure; thanks again to Neil and Helen for having us!
The pleasure was all ours! Thank you so much for joining us and sharing so much amazing advice and tips with us! ❤
I feel so honoured to have my absolute idols on board with this project. Thank you so much Jesse and Moira! My excitement level is off the charts!
Such a delightful couple, they are amazing. 👫❤️
We agree - not only incredibly talented but also so nice too!
Very cool. Thanks for sharing. I love to see the artistry of other colleagues. It inspires me for my next shoot.
Thank you very much! We are really pleased you enjoyed it!
Appreciate it! We get so much inspiration from our fellow wedding colleagues, as well.
Really excellent interview and extremely interesting. I bought a mag beam a couple of years ago - actually by accident (meant to get snoot) and have never used it. Guess what I've just dug out and added to the bag for next wedding in the glorious Ribble Valley sun!
Thank you, David! It's surprisingly versatile once you start using it.
Thank you so much mate!
La Plante is so frenchy 🥰
Wow that was fantastic and so inspiring. I've learnt so much from that and off to look at a mag beam. I'm so glad I'm part of the Flash master community. Great work as always
Thank you so much - we are really pleased you enjoyed it 😊 Jesse and Moira are amazing aren't they?! And yes, they rock the Magbeam!
Appreciate it, Jon! We're incredibly honored to be part of Flash Masters, too!
Great video!!
Thank you very much!
Inspiring! Love it. Thanks Neil, Jesse and Moira are masters in artistry.
Thank you very much Denys! And yes I agree, Jesse and Moira are amazing! So talented 😊
Thanks, Denys! That means a lot!
Love this!! I have yet to play with off camera flash but am pretty inspired to get into it.
Thank you so much Jason, really pleased you enjoyed it!
Lovely work. How do you decide to use say a softbox instead of a reflector, or vice versa?
We are pleased you enjoyed the video! The biggest difference is that a softbox can be used in any lighting conditions whereas a reflector requires a decent amount of ambient light to be effective. That's the great thing about off camera flash, it can used anytime, regardless of the light :-)
