I moved to Paarl recently and Strand area is the closest, I know a few fishing spots but not sure where to collect bait such as prawn, bloodworm, wonderworm etc... Are you will to share some advice kanalah?
Wslm all good shukran and hope all good your side.. yes sure for sand prawn we drive to Rooi Els the prawns are nice there.. we used to pump in front of Steers at the slip but were confronted by officials so not advisable to pump there.. we used to get the odd bloodworm between the sand prawn in front of Steers also but again you could face some sort of unwanted attention by park officials as the whole area is a no take zone for bait.. wonderworm not really also as its a no take zone and only place close by is to the right of the slip at Hangklip.. hope you come right and thanks for the continued support its appreciated

I might just head out later this afternoon as low tide is around 20:30, hoping to look for some fresh occy in the rock pools as well.

Wslm bro unfortunately not my work schedule not normal so only see weekends off every few weeks and i just finished my off weekends so will see a off weekend in about 3 weeks time and also then dependant on weather and other things etc so not easy for me.. not saying its easy for you also lol.. im not big on winter fishing and dont fish Agulhas or even close to home like Strandfontein / Strand etc during winter and not saying its not productive as it can be.. hope you come right at Agulhas

Hi i dont fish the Strand / Gordons Bay area during winter due to poor results i had when fishing during winter.. that said it does not mean you wont catch anything as fish are landed during winter at certain spots and i think Blakes might be one spot to deliver.. best to strike up a friendship with guys at the tackle shops like Fishing Republic and speak to them a day or two before wanting to go.. i hibernate during winter lol and dont even worry to fish areas like Hangklip during winter for galjoen as its so cold but thats just me
@asif lol i been not having a good fishing day since 4months ago. so probably winter wont get any better but thanks for the heads up i will definetly speak to the guys and give it a go
@@keegandurasami6497 No problem.. might just give the area another go this year during winter proper and if its anything worth posting you can be sure i will post it. In the past i just never bothered as you can see from video dates.. earliest i start fishing again after winter proper is from August.. also note im not from the Strand area so always not easy for me to decide when to go fish this area merely by looking at water conditions hence the tackle shop idea as they literally less than a 100 meters from the beach

We pump at Monwabisi or Rooi Els.. enforcement might give you issues and show you a old map from 2017 stating the area is a MPA.. dont take the chance rather Rooi Els or Monwabisi depending which is closer
