    I got some tacks with plastic rings. Lowes uses them to tack red flags on the end of wood . Travel flags. They are free. Usually out side where the twing stand is .

    Cows are very intelligent. Bulls are also intelligent if any one think’s not try getting on a buckin bull they will show you in about 8 seconds.I can pet walk all around the rodeo bulls do about anything around them learned real quick just be aware they can get aggressive part of their natural nature.Keep up with your work you are doing a fine job we never learn if we don’t try we learn from our mistakes.Blessings to you and yours may you have happy holidays.

    A sled or simple tarp is your friend when having to carry heavy items. It's easier to slide rather than lifting, especially when you're pregnant. Be safe and wear crimp-ons to give you traction on the ice and snow. They're way less expensive than getting hurt.

    As people mentioned if you put a strip/ thin piece of wood over the plastic then nail or staple it down it will stop the wind from pulling the plastic out.

    I know this question sounds crazy but are cows smart at all and if so what is their intelligence level and in what way ? I’m enjoying your channel very much ❤

    • @TheCrazyFarmWife
      @TheCrazyFarmWife  16 днів тому

      I'm really not sure what their intelligence level is. Some cows are definitely smarter than others though.

    If you could add some small little strips of wood over the plastic it would hold up better and save you the extra work

    I was just wondering why you don't either buy or build a lower type trough for the pigs, instead of feeding them in the dirt? You can make one as low to the ground as you need to fit your size pigs pretty easy with just a couple of old boards, just make a V shape & add the two ends. Feeding livestock, even pigs on mud/dirt isn't such a good idea, they can pick up all kinds of bad things.

    • @TheCrazyFarmWife
      @TheCrazyFarmWife  16 днів тому

      We have tried using hog troughs for the pigs and they just flip them upside down. The pigs root in the dirt everyday to eat roots and other things so don't think it makes a difference.

    • @Blitzkrieg2002
      @Blitzkrieg2002 16 днів тому

      @@TheCrazyFarmWife I understand pigs like to turn things upside down, they can be ornery critters.That's why I use longer boards for the ends, and that makes it harder to flip. And I've even put 2 posts on each end of the trough to keep it from turning over. And pigs definitely love to root around in the dirt out in the pasture, but when the dirt is where you feed all the animals & along the fence line where they tend to stand around a lot, well that area is now a muddy sloppy bathroom. And that's how they can pick up parasites & other unhealthy things.That's all I was saying, I meant no disrespect.
