my absolutely terrible fall ball 16u team in 2020 beat the pirates scout team for no reason. best moment of my life it was hilarious.
Notes after watching:
- These kids CLEARLY only care about looking cool when they play
- Trying too hard because they’re on camera
- That one mom is so very annoying

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team let so many balls hit the ground or go past them in the outfield
by their reactions it look like they was having a problem seeing the ball with the sun in their eyes. ive had that problem alot and it makes it harder to make reads
and i doubt half them has ever played on turf that much so they dont realize how the bounces work cuz ive played on turf where the ball dies when it hit the ground and sum where it will bounce over ur head

Loads of talent on this team. Problem is they aren’t playing as a team. You have a group individuals (some well known) that are to concerned about themselves, their drip, their trash talk, their personal stats etc…etc…
That’s the problem with scout teams. Take the cream of the crop from around the country and people expect greatness.
The reality of it is, they’re undisciplined and don’t perform the basic fundamentals of the game well in these tournaments.
Less Me and I and more team. Then and only then will this team live up to what everyone knows they’re capable of.

All these boys young as hell. They got time to grow up and mature but they havin fun playin baseball. I agree there’s some basics they could sharpen up on, but they still got ode learning to do. Glad this happened to them early

I remember playing 2012 Dodger scout team in Phoenix in a tournament... My highlights were wearing a 95 to the shoulder and bunting for a base hit lmao
MLB needs to use the behind the plate camera view. It's so much better being able to see the pitch movement. They could add a split screen box to show both angles, or just switch back and forth throughout the game.

for those commenting on the fielding in the outfield...it was an 8am start and the sun looked to be pretty intense in the first part on left field and gradually. ade it over to right. Thats why it seened like an adventure every time something got some air under it out there...i think. plus theyre 14 and jyst starting to play on big fields. the other team was equally flawed but seemed to have more control on the mound. im sure they weren't but they looked older too.

They’re just kids. I was the same way growing up as a kid playing sports. I always wanted to wear the flashy products but never transferred it over to my game. My dad always told me a baller is a baller. He could wear converse & ball while the next man is wearing Jordan’s scoring 0 points a game. It’s about heart.
