I love the story because of wonderful people helping each other and appreciate what it takes to get one of the most precious resources necessary for life. Clean water. I've been working 30 years, providing the same in Salt Lake City. Over the recent years, it's very much in demand, but we often feel taken for granted. I would love to take a turn driving that water truck and have people happy to see me. My buddy Frank is Navajo and works for a fellow water district here. I think we should both come down have a big city day off working for you.:)

The wind and trains are constant.
I fail to see a problem with the constant trains. That's the BNSF's (ex ATSF) Gallup Subdivision, part of their hugely busy southern transcon route. The water tank cars can even be seen spotted on the Thoreau spur track on satellite view. It is part of an old wye track arrangement that was used for turning steam locomotives generations ago.

Why does this narration try to give the impression that railroads are evil and incapable of doing any good or helping people? It's the next best thing to a pipeline and much faster and cheaper than long haul trucks. Ten times as fuel efficient anyway.

New Mexico is one of the very poorest states in the country. Over 100 million native, indigenous people in North America were killed by Europeans. The few that were left were put on Reservations. That’s why this problem exists. It would be appropriate for one of those super rich US foundations, like the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation, to help those in the US who do not have water.
