    what is generated that reduces the pump efficiency?Can you explain once? I mean I did not understand that part

    • @searainly
      @searainly  3 роки тому +1

      Air/vapour trapped at the eye of impeller leads to loss of suction Pressure, might cause to cavitation

    Thank you for the wonderful lecture.
    I have a question though. How does increasing the water pressure (in other words decreasing the velocity of the fluid) facilitate in making the fluid flow? Because it is my understanding that if the fluid velocity is higher at the outlet, the fluid can travel a greater distance and reach the tank easily, whereas reducing the velocity has the opposite effect. Please clarify.

    In which direction impeller is rotating of centrifugal pump?

    • @searainly
      @searainly  3 роки тому

      As fluid gets sucked into the eye of Impeller ... Impeller veins are present there ( trace the path of Impeller vein rising ) Trace the impeller veins . If veins are rising , the impeller must turns the way with those veins rising. ( So u can't answer like that rotation is clockwise or anticlockwise it's totally depends on your Direction of impeller rising veins and yes the direction of impeller veins rising can be reversed also.)

    Sir pressure is force per unit area so why here pressure increases with area increase ??? In order to keep energy constant???

    • @searainly
      @searainly  3 роки тому

      Apply bernoulli's equation

    • @searainly
      @searainly  3 роки тому +1

      Force per unit area is not the energy equation.... This equation doesn't corealate with other parameters such as velocity,acceleration due to gravity ,density... So in this situation we need to analyse pumping operation with Bernoulli's theorem. I hope u understand.Now apply bernoulli's theorem and Equation of continuity too.
      Thank you

      Laltern ring is a ring fitted at shaft soo as to allow controlled flow of working fluid usually water so as to lubricate shaft and avoid overheating.
