- Fan made video I made for one of my favorite deerhunter songs. None of the other youtube videos really had it right with the combination of these two songs, so I made this video to represent what they would sound like together on the album
Literally one of the best openings to an album ever.
This is forever jacked in my limbic brain.
Cannot listen to Deerhunter without heaviness in my heart for friendships that burned too hot, too bright, and in a flash were gone.

This has been my alarm for at least ten years. I’ve been waking up to this song for ten years and I haven’t once thought to change it.

Cover me (Slowly) sounds like a song that would play in a movie with a bittersweet/bad ending.
kinda like "eternal sunshine of the spotless mind" or "Vanilla Sky"
Such a beautiful, numbing song, it's so easy to lose yourself in this even when surrounded by chaos

This song takes me back to my high school years, so much angst and teenage stupid stuff, dreaming about boys and having fun with friends i thought would stay with me forever. But now it all feels bittersweet, kinda like this song.
Same! I just rediscovered this album at 25 after being really into it in my late teens. When I was younger I heard the playful side of this album a lot more but now listening to it the undercurrent of strangeness and darkness is a lot more apparent. Fucking love it.

I liked the slower pace of the intro and they forward the tempo so hard it ruins the suspense. I think there are really loyal Deerhunter fans out there and this is my favorite song by them but this has always seemed like a huge blunder to me.
