I am pretty sure back in 90/91 there was pedestrian access at the bottom of the platform(near the white fencing) with the green/miniature warning lights.Nobody seems to remember them!
Some people will question the sense of the couple running across as the barriers are coming down. The problem with driffield station is that it doesn't have a foot bridge so which ever way you approach the station if the train you wish to catch is on the opposite side, once the barriers are down there's no way you can get on to the platform.
Beverley station at the moment the footbridge is temporary shut so coming from Scarborough/Bridlington etc will need to go via the level into the town centre etc and when you need catch a train and if it goes from the platform on the opposite side allow plenty of time otherwise you have no chance Back to the Driffield talk they could do with a footbridge
@@Cazkumali Absolutely, but it isn't going to happen. Allowing plenty of time is the answer because the barriers come down about four to five minutes before the train arrives so miss time it and you could have to stand there and wait for the train to pull in and not be able to do anything about it.
Amazing video! That fast alarm is kinda nice sounding actually.
Thank you 😁 The alarms are nice and loud here which is good. Quite a nice little town.
Outstanding Video and excellent crossing!👍🏻😄
Thank you 😄😄
When I went to Driffiekd
on holiday, there were the old style swing gates at that crossing
Cool, I imagine that was a while ago 😊
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel we still have them now :)
I've lived here for 24 years and these modern barriers have been here since then. 😉

I live here! The ones in the distance are manually winced from the dignal box above them. They are ridiculously slow and are down for far too long
Nice!
Which way on the line is it coming from and to?
Numbers on the class 155 train: 155345
Not sure what numbers are on the end of the train
From Hull to Bridlington.
