I know Erik is a fantastic producer and super easy to work with, but maybe next time, they should give someone else a shot. Just change it up a little bit. Mark Lewis did great with A Skeletal Domain, after 3 albums with Erik. Now we've had another 3 in a row, just get a new take on the next one. (Just to reiterate, Erik freaking rules, not hatin', lol)

Thank you for the review. I really miss Pat's riffs and solos. Although everything seems to be in place, something essential is lacking. The essence of CC was Pat's sick and genius songwriting. Just my opinion.

Cannibal corpse booted skwizgaar and became dethklok.
I know pat went batshit for a bit there, it happens, and erik stepped up and has the skills, but pat IS cannibal corpse (not entirely but essential) and at the same time, when eriks playing, clearly he's not burning the crud as producer.
In short the dynamic has shifted.
I'll always love this band regardless but this is kinda making me think pat doesnt want back in, hope im wrong....

When youre in a CC mood would you put on this album? or would you rather listen to bloodthirst or gallery of suicide or Gore obssessed. I think I know what everyone would say.. this album is boring as shit. Even violence unimagined beats this crap.

Listened to it twice already and I can't seem to remember much. Lacking in hooks. Pretty much all their albums have those stand out tracks and moments but this one is falling flat for me so far.

@@Vlad.The.Drac. It has grown on me since writing this but it still isn't up to the quality of previous work I think. I'd love for them to work with Mark Lewis again maybe.
I’m a late newcomer, I hold my hand up and am not a fan of the early days (Chris’s vocals ain’t for me) but I entered at Evisceration Plague which I just loved. I feel that maybe they need to reintroduce some groove into their sound

We've become so spoiled, that we smell our own farts. We've turned into a harem of critics for our lack of creating anything meaningful and lasting. I'll just go listen to the album again and mosh it up in my room. Disappointed? Don't take yourself so serious. Just be glad they are still making excellent music.
I posted a review, which is my personal opinion on the record. If you don’t value other peoples opinions on said record why watch it and comment. You could have listen to your own advice and stayed in your room smelling your own fart.
