Who would have thought the Escape would end up looking this nice. I get the impression that Ford has hired some new blood in their design team, because the vehicles really have a nice look to them.
I'm impressed with the new look as well it's a sporty look but at the same time not overbearing. Just smooth aerodynamic look and feel to it only thing just give it more power. But it's fine.
I recently bought a 2020 ford escape sel and I must say that functionally it is incredible. The mpg, pick up, and design are great. However if we look back at the body design in 2020 they are all the same. That said, I love this vehicle!!
@@davidjohn6070 It is like this since the beginning of the automobile industry. Why do you think we are able to recognize at first glance a car from the 50's, the 70's, the 80's, and so on, if not because the car manufacturers are emulating each other?
I love the feel and visibility driving and it looks gorgeous. It has adequate power with the 1.5L over my 06 with the V6 that I was happy with. I feel I made another wise and practical choice which means more money for fun stuff.
We just bought a used SEL for my wife's primary car. I have a Chevy Bolt but this is the first gas engine domestic vehicle we have owned in a really long time and I think my first Fold since my 1990 Ford Escort. Wow has Ford come a long way. The lsat compact SUV we had was a 2017 Hyundai Tuscon and the Escape drives much nicer and has way more base options for less money. I am a bit of a tech nerd and I am really impressed with the infotainment system. The screen is small compared to the EVs I have driven but it is very bright and responsive.
Known as the Ford Kuga in Europe. We have these engine choices: 1.5-litre 3-cylinder with 120 or 150 horsepower (6-speed manual transmission only) 1.5-litre 4-cylinder diesel with 120 horsepower (6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmission) 2-litre 4-cylinder diesel with 150 horsepower (6-speed manual transmission only for now) 2-litre 4-cylinder diesel with 190 horsepower (8-speed automatic transmission only) 2.5-litre 4-cylinder with electric motor with 225 horsepower (PHEV and comes with a CVT transmission) 2.5-litre 4-cylinder with 190 horsepower (hybrid and CVT transmission only)
Hi, the button you said was for deactivating the cylinder (around 07:40) I was told at the dealership I bought mine from that it's to deactivate the auto start stop ...
Hi Mike 🙂, great haircut 👌. I'm really loving the rotary shifter in the new Escape, it's different in a great way. There's definitely significant differences between the 2017 and 2020 Escape. Also Mike, the 2020 Explorer you recently reviewed, the exterior color was everything.
I just purchased this car two things that are odd. The first thing is when you sit in the seat I feel it should be further out more to my knees. It’s short I’m 5’8 Next to turn the air conditioner on and off, you have to reach over to the knob the dial over by the passenger side to turn it on and off instead of having it by the driver side 🤔
Mine is making a rattling noise and today It smelt like a burnt wire smell when I got out of the car. I don't smell it when I am driving and rattling noise goes away when I drive.
The worst car I've ever had . This car could kill you if you are 70 mph in a highway, and the car pulled you to the right and to the left ( by the way it is not a wheely alignment issue).

the exterior design is similar to Porsche, even the letters on the back door are placed as if the inscription "Porsche"
Yeah I can see some resemblance. Definitely like a baby Macan
I find it odd when any vehicle manufacturer would emulate another manufacturer's design.

That's great! I'm looking at this or the Mitsubishi Outlander (used).

The mpg figures that you quoted are for the 2.0 engine. 1.5 gets far better gas mileage.
I do have a 2020 Ford Escape SE in black since mid March 2022. I loved the smooth ride and Apple Car Play.
Very nice! My mom still enjoys her 2017

Wow you guys get a ton of options !We have two gas engines and then I believe 1 hybrid
Excellent review, very thorough. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful! The new Escape is a great small SUV!
Great job man. Very thorough :)
Glad you liked it!

It is lmao, idk wtf he’s talking about😂😂😂 turning off a cylinder in a 3 cylinder??? Nahhh lmao
You're correct, it's for the auto start stop....not sure where he came up with that.
i’ve never heard anyone say “the” like “thee” every time lol good review
It's a word lol! Glad you enjoyed this Ford review!
Good description!!! Complete and in detail!!! Nice looking SUV!!!

In between the cupholders is room for a Red Bull😂😂

Haven’t watched you in a min
Cool my Grandma got a new car Its that kind And it has like a Pc in there It looks good 🙂
What is a "Pc" for the Ford Escape?

Interesting..
Does the SEL have parallel parking ?
I don't think it does, if it did I would have mentioned that button for it, but I don't think this one had it.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed only the titanium offers it as standard I believe

Nice video bat 2.5 naturally aspirated engine review
if there is any safety features, like sensors,im definitly buying this
You can buy a Ford Escape with sensors!
thanks! very much appreciated
Hi there is no paddle shifters or buttons to change gears manually like previous model
different trim.
The US version with shorter rear bumper and higher suspension looks much much more dynamic and lighter than european one. 😞
Ooh yeah? I havent seen what the Euro version looks like compared to this
It’s funny . You become an instant soccer mom when driving this ⚽️
Can u get a different gear shift.?
Nope. This is how Ford is doing it for their new vehicles.
lines look clean front end a bit too plain
Long review vetha speed test
Your width is off. The width of the vehicle is 74.1
The 85.6in is the width including the mirrors. 74.1 is the width without side mirrors ;)
if u turn A.C with full of passengers , it will be ok or not?

Seems like there has to be an issue with your car. My mom has one and it's been perfect for the last 3 years
What year?
Ford did better!
The 2020 Ford Escape it’s ok, I don’t really like Ford
