"Smashed birds" Reminds me of a story I wrote to read in class in middle school about a little bird named Fluffy who flew into a tree and died. I wrote it in middle-school anger, but everyone fell out of their chairs laughing. And then I couldn't stop laughing, too. So I learned something, but I don't know what.
