Steve told the Pastor who led him to the Lord in an altar call his biggest regret is missing so much precious time without salvation. He wondered how his life can be a testimony as he didn't have alot of time to minister to ppl about Jesus but he found out his life b4 & after salvation & accepting Jesus was his greatest testimony to show ppl of the Grace & mercy & love of Christ that Jesus has for ppl in this world
You watch something like this and you get sad that you'll never be in a position to thank Steve McQueen (and other great artists like him) for the entertainment and inspiration.
He may have gone but he is still a legend - this is a great tribute to a boy lost and a man found, thank you so much for sharing this with all Steve's fans x
Such a unique individual and actor. I was profoundly saddened when I heard of his passing in 1980. I saw a kindred spirit in Mr. McQueen. An excellent tribute, very inspiring and very poignant at the end. He may be gone, but he will never be forgotten.
I'm sure there are alot of great tributes to the great man himself.... but I doubt they are better than this. It grabs your attention from the word 'go', draws you in.... and leaves you with a lump in your throat as it moves steadily towards the end - and Steve's. May he forever be Hollywood's King Of Cool - and thank you, brubakerhenry ;-)
Left so young. So many parts still out there for him to entertain us. When I was a kid, I told my mother my name was Josh Randall from now on. McQueens character name on Wanted Dead Or Alive. Semper Fi Marine
Top music, top movie scenes. Steve was the man and hero, friend, husband, pal and the most I have it wanna be. Steve, you may die so young, but your life was so full of life. Rest in peace and go ahead, where you are. I love you like a father or older brother. Farewell my friend.
Thank you so much for this montage of Steve's films and sayings. I loved him the moment I clapped eyes on him when I was a teenager. Such a presence on the screen with no airs and graces. Just brilliant.
I thank you for this. There's a hundred McQueen videos on youtube, but you captured him in all his strength and weakness...by strength, of course, I mean by Christ Almighty.
You said it right..King of cool, amazing actor, intense and complicated man, a stunt man, racing cars, a lover of beautiful women....everything I wanted to be as a Kid when I saw him for the first time in Bullitt. I even had a 1968 mustang, it was a coupe and red. Miss you Steve!!
This was very nicely put together, exception being the small frame size wearing my eyes. It's always puzzling to me why people of strong faith want to affix Christianity to Steve. Is it his celebrity? He was quoted as telling several closer friends around that time he found Christianity that it was all BS anyways. To that, I say draw your own conclusion. It makes me happy he drew comfort from it in his final time on this earth that was so missing much of his life thanks to his rough early yrs, but I personally can't draw any more from it than that without personally knowing & hearing him talk about his true convictions. Or maybe his son Chad or closest friends. I don't find it fair to Steve honestly. His life was already cut unfairly short & that is enough for me personally.
Loved 🥰 Steve McQueen always thought of him as a very handsome man and great actor. I was told he died from a motorcycle accident but I see that wasn’t true. So sad he had lung cancer. My Mother died from Lung Cancer to thru to smoking. Please stop 🛑 their not worth your life. And hunting your family. R.I.P. Steve you are missed. 🙏🥰😇🌺🌸🌷💐🌹😭
a great actor. nevada smith is my fav mcqueen western. sand pebbles and the movie he did with faye dunaway are my fav nonwesterns. i know the name but my brain is frozen right now. lol.
ONE OUTCAST REBEL ROMANTIC ANGEL TO ANOTHER RIP STEVE MCQUEEN FOR THE WEST HAD SO MANY GOOD MEN WITH GOOD HEARTS TAKEN FROM US BY SET ON MAY YOU RIDE FOREVER IN THE KINDOM OF HEAVAN AS WE AINT WELCOME DOWN HERE NO MORE
papillon is my fave..the critics might not agree but fuck em.steve mqueen was born to do it..he had an aura..you simply couldnt take your eyes off him.he was magentic..for me he defines the word "star quality" and ultimately he has given us the biggest gift through his films..people will enjoy them forever and because of that steve mcqueen lives forever.which is a good thing indeed.legend
@JJbrown74 The first is of course the Great Escape, then the Magnificent Seven [both Elmer Bernstein]. Next is Ashokan Farewell composer by Jay Unger. The final piece is by Karl Jenkins and I believe it is Adiemus. Hope this helps and you enjoyed the compilation.. PJ
You might consider a tribute to Yul Brynner. Brynner started learning English when he was 20(!), so he had an indistinct accent his whole life, but he pulled off being an native-born American in many films. In the mid-20th century, it was VERY common for people born in the United States to learn English as a second language. For example: Lawrence Welk was born in the United States, but had a heavy accent, and no one cared.
What is the name of the western shown at 1:23 minutes ? Good tribute , but if you were not going to show the titles of the movie clips ; then it would have been nice to show the clips in chronological order . Not everyone recognizes every Steve McQueen movie .
Just think if he would of accepted roles in " A Bridge to Far " Close Encounters" or "Apocalypse Now " instead of "An Enemy of The People " " Tom Horn " or "The Hunter " . Still very sought after even in death .
This made me cry; I’m so happy that Steve found Christ!!

had no idea McQueen accepted Christ.......love hearing this.....gonna meet Hilts some day.....thanks for posting.....

Your actings will never be forgotten!!!
LEGENDS NEVER DIE!!!
Only 50, he had so much more to give, as an actor,, father, grandfather, and husband, and the most charismatic man you could meet.
He may have gone but he is still a legend - this is a great tribute to a boy lost and a man found, thank you so much for sharing this with all Steve's fans x

Wow, this has to be one of the BEST Tributes I have seen. Thanks so much for the class in which you put this together!
What a great tribute you made! Affectionately from a Steve McQueen fan.

his goodness was recognized by all who enjoyed his honest personality!
Great work! Thanks! He is my hero.God bless you!
very nice tribute, great choice, smooth video, fantastic actor always served with beautiful actress and music.
Steve McQueen, Clint Eastwood, Sean Connery. Where did all the badass cool actors go? Who do we have now? Some Marvel joker. Snore.
Thank you so much for this montage of Steve's films and sayings. I loved him the moment I clapped eyes on him when I was a teenager. Such a presence on the screen with no airs and graces. Just brilliant.
Rest in peace. One of the best actors or the best actor..
Thank you.
My Boy !
I thank you for this. There's a hundred McQueen videos on youtube, but you captured him in all his strength and weakness...by strength, of course, I mean by Christ Almighty.

very well put, such a talented actor-i hope in the end he found what it was he was looking for in life, and most of all found happiness

I don't watch all his films, but the getaway, I really see some great acting..
RIP Steve McQueen. He passed away 42 years ago today
Just think how much he would have accomplished if he lived past 50!
He achieved so much more when he passed away. Eternal life with Jesus Christ for all times.
He'd be 92 now.
Great video :) i allways crying on the end :) Steve was the best xx
........time is the great killer of us all.....

BTW, make sure you buy the 7:36 version, that's the symphonic one. The shorter one (4:33) is a piano version.
Cheers!

Bravo - this made my day.

From memory it was Nevada Smith
Well done. So grateful you added his conversion to Christianity
I read a bio about Steve but there was no mention at all to his conversion. How could they have left that out?
charles mays secular thinkers who didn't want to give God glory. Anyway we will see him in glory. Blessings John
I spent years and years learning finaly he made peace with God : it's made on purpose so that people don't get interest on God.
makiavelli999 If you were deceived would you know it?
Excellent Brother! ~:o)
Steve McQueen çok yakışıklı en sevdiğim aktör Rahmetle uyu
The last piece is actually called "Benedictus" by Karl Jenkins.
The poster below is incorrect.
It is absolutely phenomenal, isn't it?....
I like his smile when he returned to jail in Great Escape.
Penso con nostalgia che se non fosse morto così presto, quanto altro avrebbe potuto dare al cinema mondiale. The one and the only!!!!!! Per sempre!!!!
The coolest damn actor there ever was.
what's the title of the movie on the opening scene. thanks good job.
Should Had Got the Oscar for Papillon.
@brubakerhenry thanks
@saltyluvssofas
It was 'Hell is for Heroes' (1962)
🤟🤟🤟Steve Mcquen
excuse me could you tell me the names of the songs used in this video thanks
Please?
Just think if he would of accepted roles in " A Bridge to Far " Close Encounters" or "Apocalypse Now " instead of "An Enemy of The People " " Tom Horn " or "The Hunter " .
Still very sought after even in death .
He became religious when he was dying of cancer at only 50. I would too.
@scoubi85
Thanks - I appreciate it :)
What movie is the chess scene from, please?
