About the song being fitting for current times: Morissette has said this performance was dedicated to all the first responders. And about her sounding strained on the Wish Bus version. Not discounting that she definitely developed since then, but she also was sick during the Wish Bus performance.
I actually love her Wish Bus rendition as well. It was pure raw vocals. I love the rasp and emotion she put in it. Plus during that time, she mentioned going through something. This one was great as well. Nice reaction!

Never seen a performer quite like her , even all the greatest divas past and present, which i loved, did not in my opinion, hold the masterly vocal ability, and beautiful personality this young lady has. She really is a human tuning fork to one's soul and heart.
Am 62 yrs old, seen & heard all the greats, this girl is just a level above anything past or present. She's gonna make big big waves very soon, with Christmas around the corner, she recorded a Christmas song with Ben Adams from British boy band A1 called this is Christmas, it's amazing, especially with her vocals.

Morissette did a medley of Bruno Mars hits with 3rd Avenue backing her up. I'm not a musician, but reactorsxwho are have been blown away by the arrangement and smooth/clever transitions. I'd love to watch you deconstruct this Morissette/3rd Avenue masterpiece. 💜
Morissette's past Wish bus performances are amazing but her 2020 music is absolutely on the next level. She definitely used her time well during lockdown to rest and improve her technique.
The vibrant and very positive interpretation of Rise Up by Morissette and 3rd Avenue really fits the message the song wishes to convey. Rise Up should be Humanity's Anthem for 2020 and beyond.

If you loved this video, you'll surely love her latest music video, Moon River mixed with another Visayan classic, Usahay (a dialect in the Philippines). I was performed classy and elegantly. I'm glad you finally made it to this version of Rise Up. We know how good Morissette is, and this is one of her best covers ever. Adonis Tabanda is a stud. It may have already been mentioned that he's commonly known as Morissette's musical director. Let's just look at Fly Like A Bird, Rise Up Acapella, and Moon River to digest everything that Adonis can do:
He can play electric bass, and string bass, he can sing bass, he can sing above bass, he can sing vocal percussion, and he's a composer and an arranger.
Morissette definitely collaborates with some top level talent over there in the Philippines. In addition to Adonis and 3rd Avenue, there's also Kiko Salazar. He wrote Akin Ka Na Lang, and he played keyboard and sang upper background harmonies on Fly Like A Bird.
I'm so happy I found Morissette a few months ago, and also some of the people who she works with.

Imagine the technical complexity of recording the audio-visuals, simultaneously or on minus-one tracks, then putting them together while being quarantined in their respective locations. The latency in the system alone will prove to be a considerable challenge during the assembling of the final outcome of their music video, while in effect producing a respectable and decent quality result. 👍🏼👌🏼

I watched a Facebook live broadcast where she was taking requests and she sang Whitney's "I Have Nothing", Ariana's "Dangerous Woman", Heart's "What About Love", and Evanescence's "Bring Me Back To Life" like they were easy. I truly believe (through my research) that Miss Morissette Amon is the Greatest Pop Singer Alive and the Greatest Pop Singer of her Generation. Whenever I listen to Miss Morissette sing I know that I am in the presence of Greatness.

yes of course there's another Filipino group i can recomend to you to check with.... it's FRANZ RYTHM, a family band composed of father, 2 daughters and a 10 year old boy.... they started streaming just because of this pandemic and now they became the you tube sensation.... they have many covers in english, tagalog and also have their originals...
