Persephone is also interesting in that she’s not just “ingenue” innocent maiden goddess of Spring, but she also grows to be a mature queen and co-ruler of the underworld. She’s also accompanied by the extremely powerful crone, the Titan Hecate as she returns to Hades each year.
As an INTP, I'm glad, that Hermes went at least to the other guys, he's been my favourite from the start. Also Circe being a not so well known goddess, i.e an outsider in this list, is also a very INTP thing. Approved :)
Prometheus would also fit INFJ quite well. He was a titan making him fundamentally different from the olympian gods. He created humanity and was their benefactor, and ultimately sentenced to an agonizing eternal martyrdom for them. His name also literally means 'forethought' (Ni). Athena is honestly the best fit for INTJ. Goddess of wisdom and cunning, patroness of craftsmen and artisans, goddess of war strategy and discipline, patroness of heroes, warriors and travellers. Inventor of navigation, shipbuilding, bit, bridle, chariott, wagon, etc.

I just asked a young coworker to do an MBTI personality test last night on our break (we are nurses). She found out she is an ENFJ. I directed her to your videos. She was fascinated by this personality thing.

It's probably weird how pleased I am that you didn't give my type (ISFJ) Demeter. That was my guess off the bat - "ah, I'll get the one known for being a protective, hardworking mom." I was so tickled get Artemis, with her edgier, independent huntress side.

You can argue Hephaestus is the same. He only has Aglaea as his wife after his first failed marriage. Except that one time with Athena... But we can argue it happened before he married Aglaea
Concerning INTJ and Hades, I must add, that he is a really misunderstood god, being the one who manages the whole deal with myriads of dead souls, doing that successfully, in a good order, with proper institutions (clear and understandable river-borders, court, delivery system (hey, Thanatos and Charon), proper security (don't be silly with three-head-hound) and so on). He even wasn't destined to take this occupation (I can't name it "rule" or "power", as it is a hard work every f. day) - just it was Zeus who defeated Chronos and took the best place for himself. AND STILL, Hades does his job well; in his own manner, of course, but nevertheless. So no need to blame him for stealing Persephone. He's a lonely godly soul, doing the dirty godly work, while other drink alcohol and f. their siblings. Hades deserves some love and warmth. Even for half of year. By the way, if Persephone with him, Hades becomes a more merciful judge. That's how love changes even dark and strict Underworld gods. Upd: Also, as I think, Hades and INTJ kinda share their inclination towards passive approach, changing it only by very personal reasons like love; but, imho, Hades is closer to ISTJ, being the lonely god dealing with hard work in a proper order on a permanent basis. Concerning INTJ, earlier there were versions about Athena (well, somehow close, but INTJ-Athena wouldn't care less about something than human affairs), Prometheus (INTJ could probably bomb his ass because of some m.-f. ENTJ (hate them) interfering in his affairs, but because of humans... really?); I would also offer a variant of Eris, the goddess of conflicts (I can't remember a better schemer in Greek mythology). Upd2: still, all these approximations are false as they touch this or another aspect of INTJ's approach, walking around the main idea. And the main idea of INTJ is individual freedom. INTJ's independence from people is INTJ's notion of freedom, especially mental freedom, self-feeling and self-evaluating part of it. INTJs might be good schemers, but their schemes would be aimed not at people, but at AVOIDING people, to AVOID interaction with them. INTJs might be wise thinkers, but their thoughts would concern the individuality or negative sides of humanity, as human flaws are the main reason INTJs tend to avoid interaction with people. INTJs might be stubborn and aggressive, but I hardly imagine an INTJ would openly, intentionally and in a healthy mind violate some others' red lines (aside from cases when someone draws one's red lines on the INTJ's territory; that's actually an INTJ/ENTJ dichotomy line for me). So, after all these thoughts I have come to agree with Nathan's choice for INTJ, though not due to the reasons he mentioned. Hades would work well both for ISTJ and INTJ, closer to the first one, as ISTJ are more constant. The order (Ordnung) for INTJ - is a mean (order makes life easier, but clever INTJs can profit from disorder as well; though it's a rare case, as INTJ usually lack social intellect), for ISTJ - is a world and life. So, Hades for INTJ - is like an INTJ being forced or necessary to work as a manager. With proper freedom of action, INTJ-manager will build a proper and functional system (regardless how weird and unusual it will seem), with colleagues who passed both professional and personal assessments and explicit and ample system of rules for every case of life. But in the very end INTJ-Hades will strive to make this system work without his active participation. Because every deal that makes INTJ connected with it, also means lack of freedom. And here it is interesting how the plot with family life of Hades and Persephone fits INTJ's approach - if the wife of an INTJ was 12 months with him, that would make him feel the loss of his freedom. But 6/6 months is okay, enough to enjoy time together and not to get tired from each other.
Thanks for your insights, I found them really interesting to read and am glad that you still believe Hades to fit INTJs better then the others. But I’ve never heard of Eris before, will have to research her. Why the hate for ENTJs though? - Fellow INTJ
@@poizonali c'mon, you must have heard about the apple of discord, which led to the Trojan war. That's the Eris' scheme. Why hate ENTJ? This is an offensive type of people, ok to attack and offend others, violate personal borders, ignore feelings of others, build self-esteem at the expense of others. It's like a cancer rebirth of xNTJ, going aggressive and occupying and dominating all they can touch. I think, there's no need to explain why a proper INTJ would hate such a type of people. It's like a collection of everything bad we usually see in humans. Others may like their leadership and drive, but we, INTJ, clearly see that all that ENTJs really want is to dominate, rule and impose their will.
ENFP, Dionysus is perfect. Drink or not, he liked to mingle, was friendly with all the gods, and just wanted people to be happy, and have fun. It takes a lot to upset Dionysus, and he would only choose violence as a last resort. Probably gave Circe the idea of turning enemies into animals lol.
"Also, a bit of a misunderstood guy, if you ask me." As an INTP who's interested in Greek Mythology, I'm somewhat happy that Nathan shares similar woth me opinions about Hades. Also, I think that Chaos is the best choice for INTP, since he created everything out of nothing, followed by Pandora because when gods created her they gave her curiosity and thirst for knowledge (hence why she openned that box...).
I think of ISFP more like Phoebus Apollo, with his lyre and being the god of poetry and the sun. And Demeter as more like ISFJ, whereas I'd consider Artemis more as a feminine alternate for ISTP.
Honestly, i wish either Hades or Artemis would have ended up as INFP (or Artemis as ISFP), but Persephone is also a great choice for INFP (as is Demeter for ISFP) and INTJ and ISFJ are just fine for those two. Hades is generally speaking incredibly misunderstood since he's reduced down to being a "god of the underworld" and thus "evil" even though he's actually quite the opposite... i mean, considering how much trouble other gods do with their actions (cough, Zeus, cough) he's actually by far one of the better guys. I'm glad you picked up on that quite well 😁
@@L16htW4rr10r exactly. The whole underworld/afterlife thematic would make much more sense if it's all nice and flowery and whatever XD. Nah seriously, i'd much more understand having someone nicer as a guardian to one's deceased people. To be fair, i think at least some of the bad reputation they get is actually just modern interpretation because of how we tend to mix up the concept of "hell" with the "underworld".
I like this! Although I have been likened to Aphrodite since I was young (perceived as a love goddess&sex kitten), and Adonis chose her to spend more time with, Persephone is relatable, besides, my INTJ young lover was Hades, disguised as Adonis❤️🔥
very interesting ideas!!! I'm just thinking of one of your other videos where you talk about what the 16 personalities hate most - and the ENTP was "predictability". Now I'm ENFP but closely related, and I really felt the entp vibe going through the video thinking "pls let it not be dionysos, please let it not be dionysos" cause that's PREDICTABLE. i still kinda have to agree. i especially relate to dionysos' gender fluidity and his connection to theatre. I think tho, that Dionysos represents the ENFP stereotype which does not do the enfp justice. I think Apollo is a better choice and a lot of enfps in the comments seem to agree. I think what often gets lost in these mbti videos is just how gentle ENFPs are. They would not consciously be as controversial as Dionysos.
I found the idea behind the video creative, so I had to actually do some research into Hestia and see if it matches (because I know nothing about this topic and mythology is not really an interest of mine). While I could follow and understand your explanation and the connection you have made between the cognitive functions and Hestia, a deeper dive into her character seemed very unlikely to match the thought process of those functions. Turns out Hestia made an oath to Zeus to remain pure so she was following that as a reason behind her actions. Her nature is described as passive and non-confrontational. Following an oath made to an authority figure is kinda anti- Ni Fe Ti Se (because Te is the blind spot). Se inferior is another reason why it is unlikely to remain non-confrontational. Repressed anger and sudden out of control rebellion and dislike of every limitation is actually very common. Now, I wanted to read more about goddesses and see if I can find someone who matches the type. The first line I have read on Polyhymnia was : the goddesses of music, song and dance. So far, nothing about her matched the cognitive process and character of an INFJ. Reading more, changed my mind. She was described as pensive, meditative and arrogant if someone would look at art with disdain. While the dance (in particular) doesn’t match the type, the character and some of the reasoning of this goddess do. With Hestia, it is the opposite. Perhaps at first glance she matches the type, but understanding why she made certain decisions makes her an unlikely match.
Circe? Quite a surprise but a nice one (I already commented this?) 1:38 And, well, in the presence of an INTP, a lot of people sounds like animals while talking about something.
I don’t think Circe is an INTP, personally. From what I read, she didn’t turn ppl into animals for the fun of it; she just had problems with rejection from her crushes for the most part. I think Chaos represents intps better tbh
I'm a Pagan and I work with Dionysus because of his idiosyncratic and eclectic nature and because he brings a great deal of ecstatic vibes when I work with him. I also love his role as a performer as an actor myself.
Very interesting and well explained. To Heracles though, I feel the need to add that in Ancient Greek Theatre he had another side as he was often appearing in Comedy and Satyr Drama as very gluttonous, always up for fun and feasts and easy to fool. More like the big muscles with little brain. I don't know if this info changes anything, but I leave it here just for the sake of the facts.
As an ENTP I have unsetteling news from the realm of the dead for the April 4th 2024 .... watch out for missiles in the sky and don't be near big Citys or military bases. DUck and cover if you see a bright light!
I actually expected Athena for me (INTP), as she is the goddess of rationality, strategies and knowledge (and handcraft lol), I guess Crice also fits the role
I am an ENFP and I wanted Apollo, god of archery, music and dance, truth and prophecy, healing and diseases, the Sun and light, poetry, crafts and more
I could see Athena as being more ISTJ than Poseidon, since he, like the sea, is constantly shown to be more rush, impulsive, quicker to do what he wants which shows more Se, while Athena is basically the goddess of culture (yes, wisdom is her main attribution but knitting, tactical warfare, architecture, and society are her dominion as well) which is much more correlated with Si since it shows her concern for order, structure, principles and tradition. We could also make the argument for Athena as an INTJ, but I’d consider Si to be more notable for her attributions.
My friends say I am a goddess, I am Freya. I am viking Italian and have prophetic dreams and visions. I also own a big dog Cane Corso and 3 cats. I am also a healer. I also have red hair naturally but dye it black. To match my eyes that are basically black. I look crazy with my natural hair. 🤣
Hm, I always thought as Persephone as ENTP. Attracted by the narcissus (Selflove, the unknown), somewhat comfortable in the underworld, looking deep into the deads' motives to decide their progression, judge of their hearts ... And what about Prometheus for ENTP? Stole the fire from the Gods to endure eternal liver eating. Doesn't that translate into: I drink and I know things?
I always thought Hermes was an ENTP!! And Persephone an INFP. Their character bios and personalities literally read like the 16 Personalities breakdowns online 😂
If any Greek god or goddess or titan is an INTJ, it would have to be Prometheus. His name means “for thought”, the opposite of his brother’s name Epimetheus, which means “after thought”. Prometheus is the one who made humans and stole fire for them against the will of Zeus. Before Zeus and his siblings started the Titan war to kill their father Kronos, Prometheus switched sides and fought with Zeus, because he knew that Zeus would win. Prometheus was a good friend of Zeus and who wasn’t scared to call him out. Even knowing that he would betray his friend and king, Prometheus still stole fire because he knew it to be right and paid for it by having his liver ripped out and eaten by an eagle for many years. Also, Hades doesn’t scheme, he just does his work and wants to be left alone. Athena, however, is a schemer and is well known for her cleverness and battle strategy. Circe isn’t a goddess but a titan, who has a history of seducing men or at the very least trying to. She’s also rather wrathful, when a god with whom she was in love spurned her, she turned his lover into a grotesque monster.
I don't think that we INTJs are offensive. Non-conformal, nihilists, sometimes being opposite just because of a complicated personality - but not offensive. That's rather ENTJs' feature and the one I particularly dislike them for.
@@mirriyastia7041 I assume you’re talking about Prometheus. He doesn’t make a habit of being offensive, but he knew giving humans fire was the right decision because they couldn’t defend themselves against wild animals and such, so he did it. Before that, the gods had to decide what parts of an animal should be sacrificed to the gods themselves and what were the mortals allowed to keep. Prometheus made two heaps, the bones he hid under the fat and the good parts of meat he hid under the unappetizing liver. Zeus chose the heap of bones. Prometheus is rather sneaky, he didn’t challenge Zeus to a fight or started an argument with him, he simply tricked him.
The way I was like "Hmm I thought ENTP is dionysus? But I supposed hermes is fitting too" then when the video got to the ENFP and you say "ENFP is dionysus" I can't help but laugh 😂😭😭😭 (I'm an ENFP,,, I should have seen that one coming)
As in no way an expert of gods or istps I feel (as an isfp) that Apollo would also be a good fit for istps. His virtues were "Know thyself" and "Moderation" and he was an excellent archer. I have always seen him as confident and cool (even though he is the god of sun lol) traits that I think symbolizes the istp and perhaps even my own type seeing as he was god of the arts as well.
Circe turning her enemies into animals for fun is the most INTP thing I've heard today.

Ah. Hephaestus. Also known as the one who got cuckloded.
Yes, sounds about right, and Hephaestus was also practical, and great with his hands, befitting many an ISTP.
@@trinaq Not great enough with his hands apparently
Thanks a lot for that. - ISTP
"Also, a bit of a misunderstood guy, if you ask me."
As an INTP who's interested in Greek Mythology, I'm somewhat happy that Nathan shares similar woth me opinions about Hades.
Also, I think that Chaos is the best choice for INTP, since he created everything out of nothing, followed by Pandora because when gods created her they gave her curiosity and thirst for knowledge (hence why she openned that box...).
Please do 16 personalities as norse gods and goddesses next, feel free to include giants/jotuns too.
I think of ISFP more like Phoebus Apollo, with his lyre and being the god of poetry and the sun. And Demeter as more like ISFJ, whereas I'd consider Artemis more as a feminine alternate for ISTP.
As an ENTJ, I can say that aligning us with Zeus is pretty cool and sort of accurate in description. Heheh
"If you're a goddess, hmu"
My ISTP dad is literally a blacksmith 🔥
I'm an INTJ who's into mythology ☆ I have *owl* figurines (symbols of Athena) and an Artemis figurine carrying her *bow & arrow* :]
I loved your take on it 🙌 and your closing subscription comments were hilarious 🤣🤣 LMAO
I've always felt like Hades and here you go it turns out he's an intj too
Hades as INTJ!! Well, well, well, it's not a surprise!!!
I love how creative and intellectually nimble and creative you are!!!
I'm glad you picked up on that quite well 😁
It is weird how every Gods of the Underworld was seen as a bad person. Is death that horrifying for some people?
@@L16htW4rr10r exactly. The whole underworld/afterlife thematic would make much more sense if it's all nice and flowery and whatever XD. Nah seriously, i'd much more understand having someone nicer as a guardian to one's deceased people.
To be fair, i think at least some of the bad reputation they get is actually just modern interpretation because of how we tend to mix up the concept of "hell" with the "underworld".
ESFP here, i’ve always felt a connection to aphrodite 💁🏽♀️
Immediately you mentioned INFJ I thought Hestia, and there she was😁
Impressive predictive powers! ~ Nathan
I wonder if these comparisons are being drawn from the Percy Jackson versions of these characters. If they are not, then they are still quite spot-on.
I like this! Although I have been likened to Aphrodite since I was young (perceived as a love goddess&sex kitten), and Adonis chose her to spend more time with, Persephone is relatable, besides, my INTJ young lover was Hades, disguised as Adonis❤️🔥
I’d love if you do more mbti quotes videos, I feel like they’re just as insightful as this one !! x
I am surprised by the choice of Hestia for INFJ. I assumed you would have chosen Hecate instead (better fit IMO).
very interesting ideas!!!
Perhaps at first glance she matches the type, but understanding why she made certain decisions makes her an unlikely match.
an INFJ without innate interest for mythology???????????????
@@3mercutio3 what function is most associated with mythology? Ni? The desire for novelty, innovation, creativity and ideas? Check Si.
@@ოChiamariaოSame. My dad is actually Se dominant and my level of anger and rebellion surpasses his.
wait the gentle music in this video is amazing!!
Brilliant connection 🌞🌸
Thank you! Hope you enjoyed the video ~ Nathan
Circe? Quite a surprise but a nice one (I already commented this?)
1:38 And, well, in the presence of an INTP, a lot of people sounds like animals while talking about something.
My ISTP partner is also ugly like Hephaestus! This can't be a coincidence!
(I'm saying this for the second time in this comment section.) Thanks a lot for that. - ISTP
This is so interesting! Persephone!
I don’t think Circe is an INTP, personally. From what I read, she didn’t turn ppl into animals for the fun of it; she just had problems with rejection from her crushes for the most part. I think Chaos represents intps better tbh
I'm late but I loved this video, I can see everyone I know as these. Great job!!
i just knew infp would be persephone haha.
Hello sir, your ISTJ followers are waiting for more ISTJ videos, I feel that our mbti type is hardly misunderstood, thanks in advance
i'd love to see that too - enfp
i fell in love with your videos, the best thing of all that could possibly happen to me on the internet. thanks.
I certainly identified as persephone since 18
I got Hades. I do feel a connection to the morbid probably because I am pessimistic about Humanity. 😑
I'm a Pagan and I work with Dionysus because of his idiosyncratic and eclectic nature and because he brings a great deal of ecstatic vibes when I work with him. I also love his role as a performer as an actor myself.
INFP here and Persephone is my favourite!! 🥀
I was waiting to see if you would choose Persephone for INFP.... Great choice! 😇😈
For Zeus' sake! That outro is divine! 😂😂😂
As an INFJ who loves Greek myths, thanks for giving us Hestia ❤the least problematic goddess there is 😂
I was thinking INTJ has to be either Hades or Athena.
Honestly, impressed you never defaulted to Athena for one of the Thinking types, mildly impressive!
Dionysus is my favourite wtf I wanna be enfp
As an enfp, I was thrilled that you chose Dionysus, as this is the origin to my name Denise 🎉 Coinkidink? I think not!
ENTJ here. I predicted Zeus. He's the most fitting to the ENTJ.
bruh!😂 clever you.. persephony is just the right amount of emo beauty for the infp... well put.. shes like the french movie of the gods lol
Great fun. I've been to Mt. Olympus and Mt. Parnassus but they were in San Francisco, so I guess that makes me a mere mortal.
I am an ENFP and I wanted Apollo, god of archery, music and dance, truth and prophecy, healing and diseases, the Sun and light, poetry, crafts and more
Interesting. I actually know an enfj who called herself 'the muse'. What a coincidence.
I knew from the jump that ENFP would be Dionysus! We're so unpredictably predictable.
I really love Hekate, but I’ll gladly take Circe!
I see Artemis as ISFP and Demeter as ISFJ
hm, as an INTJ, i was thinking Hecate...
Very interesting, thanks
I could see Athena as being more ISTJ than Poseidon, since he, like the sea, is constantly shown to be more rush, impulsive, quicker to do what he wants which shows more Se, while Athena is basically the goddess of culture (yes, wisdom is her main attribution but knitting, tactical warfare, architecture, and society are her dominion as well) which is much more correlated with Si since it shows her concern for order, structure, principles and tradition. We could also make the argument for Athena as an INTJ, but I’d consider Si to be more notable for her attributions.
As an ISFJ whose fave goddess is Artemis I couldn't be more happy😊
As an ENTP I agree about Hermes
I prefer the term “envoy.”
Wow and Heracles/Hercules is my favorite Greek god (demi) and he represents my personality too! Perfect match.
I think ISFP should be represented by the Graces/Charites: Aglaia, Euphrosyne and Thalia.
This video was amazing
Cool video
YAYYY THERE'S HADES AND PERSEPHONEEEEE 💕
INFJ: Oracle of Delphi, Vestal Virgin (priestess of Hestia).
I'm adoring these videos
You make a good argument. Interestingly enough though, you named yourself after Athena. Care to expand upon that?
I don't think that we INTJs are offensive. Non-conformal, nihilists, sometimes being opposite just because of a complicated personality - but not offensive. That's rather ENTJs' feature and the one I particularly dislike them for.
Hades does scheme his abduction of Persephone was exactly that and how he tricked her to Eat fruit to stay in the underworld .
@@grippercrapper I’m interested in Greek mythology, and she happens to be one of my favorite deities.
Persephone 🤍, sounds cool
I guess I’m Hephaestus. Time to start metalwork.
