Yo I cried while watching this. Over the past 2 years, I fell in love with entrepreneurship and just being able to have financial freedom and build a legacy for my family. I am the first to do this in my family but it has been so hard being a Lash Artist and Hairstylist, there are times when I feel like I am never going to get a steady flow of clients or never be where I envision myself, but the two of you have watered the seed that was planted and I am going to keep pushing by any means necessary!
This is so true... I just saw a meme that said “your own friends won’t support you but will DM drake wishing him a happy birthday” As sad as it is, family and friends will mostly want a free service/ discount before understanding that your hard earned cash and time go into this. At least for us that know the struggle, we should be more than happy to support our friends.

If you make a friend with your clients and offer some referral credits for them to refer people to you, you will start getting enough clients that you can make great money and enjoy what you do. This is so inspiring! My boyfriend and I watched this together. We definitely related to the broke life and the at-home lashing lmao but honestly this was an eye opener and made me realize that he's my number one supporter when I started lashing. Even all the struggles with money and wanting to put my services out there knowing that clientele will be hard at first, he never gave up and hes always promoting for me as well. You both are the real definition of a #PowerCouple. Obviously I came to this vid to want to know how you guys became so successful.. but I'm soooo glad that I picked up more on the raw side of the beauty industry because the struggle def is real at first and it still is for me. I just sold my Apple Watch to pay for some of the supplies I needed 🤧 0 clients. I don’t have too many friends maybe 2 and family is 3hrs away from where I live. I just got certified and honestly you don’t learn a lot when you get trained for 4hrs.. however I purchased a book and I been watching UA-cam videos and practicing till 4am sometimes.. This is very motivational video it makes me keep pushing forward. Thank you. ❤️
I love stories like this! I became a self taught MUA 2 years ago (soon to be lash tech) and I’m STILL trying to grow my clientele. I started out charging $25-35 each client, AND I traveled to them 😩 until this day, it’s been so slow for months at a time and I don’t have another job (thank God for my bf) But I definitely been through similar struggles and hearing and seeing you guys’ success is giving me a whole new level of hope! ✨

If your serious about making the switch I would learn how to do lashes and start practicing so you can get good at them while your working your primary job. Eventually you will build up a client base and will be able to determine if your ready to make the full time switch. It can be very scary leaving security at first but it can also be far more rewarding if you find out you are passionate about lashing. Hope this helps. 💕
I am so happy I came across this video today. It gave me the motivation that I’ve needed. I am a lash artist here in LA. I’ve been lashing for a good 4 yrs now. I started JUST like you guys! In a room at my home. Then rented a studio @ Sola salon. It became too expensive for me. So went back to my home. It’s been a real struggle. Married, 2 toddlers & at 1 point 99 cent store cup of noodles and Mac and cheese kept us alive. My husband started a Auto Detailing business (foreign detailing) & we both are working out of our home. I am so thankful to have heard your story & know there is a bright future for me, my family & my business. I can’t wait to come out to Vegas & visit your salon!!! I live in London, UK, and right now the market is quite competitive. I’ve lost my job due to COVID. However, your story is inspiring to me, I am struggling but watching your video and what you guys went through made me feel that it’s possible to do what you want as long as you have the determination. I am currently taking an online beauty course (March 2020) which includes eyelash extensions, I’ve had clients to practice which were good but could be better of course the more you practice the better you will be, I’m glad I found you guys, watching your video has motivated me to carry on and work hard. Broke and feeling like a big time failure right now, this is totally for me. Have a bachelors degree and healthcare management but that didn’t work out at all! Now starting lashes and I’m not even that young… it’s definitely super overwhelming but I have to make it work. Yay for me 😅

I’m working at the bank right now and I can’t do it anymore. I have never been the type that could stay in a job long because I can’t stand with working for someone else. I got my esthetician license in April of this year and I want to get my certification for lashes. I’m going full time in September in my business. I have no money saved, I have not a clientele yet but you just boost me. I just need to take that leap of faith and go with God. I didn’t stumble on your channel for nothing. Divine connection. kym kiswe you hit the nail on the head. Go with God. It doesn’t matter what we want to do. If you trust in God, he will make sure you can make a great living doing something you are passionate about being your own boss. I’m not one to tell someone how to live their life, but if you hate your job at the bank, and don’t enjoy what you do, it’s probably time to take the next step in your career. This really helps a lot I bought my first salon in June 2018 the lady I brought the salon from took all of our money and then left taking all the clientele and everything in the salon yet she stated she was leaving everything and the clients as she could no longer work due to health but it was all a trick to get money an pay off her debts and now she is working in another salon round the corner from the salon I bought off her and I have been struggling every time I get new clients she takes them she has stalked all my social media platforms even though I blocked her she gets someone to make fake accounts I have two small children and when I bought my salon I had saved and saved to buy it as a year before myself an my kids had no home we had nothing and I had to work hard to get the money for us to live I also worked things out with their dad so we could have a home again even though he was in the wrong but I worked hard to get money to buy into my own business so I could make a future for my kids and she took everything I’m now in the process of losing my car because I can’t pay for it due to this woman taking everything from me. But I still keep showing up at my salon everyday and sit there most days from early morning till late at night with no clients an I do it because I am committed and post offers and discounted treatments Iv sent out flyers everything an nothing but I still show up everyday I literally have no money left to put into my business and I have considered selling but I keep the faith that things will turn around and get better. My kids dad doesn’t help me at all or support me at all it’s like we live together as a family but we not together so I do everything on my own and I’m not ashamed to admit that because I know I will be able to say to my kids I never gave up no matter how much I lost I kept going and trying for their future

Sassy Lashes Eyelash Extension Salon | Summerlin thank you I love in the UK unfortunately the lady I bought my salon from kept my copy of the contract between myself and her leaving with out any proof of what was included in the sale of the salon I have tried everything but with out my copy of proof nothing can be done. Iv revamped the salon and changed the salon name and signs promoted on social media sent out flyers everywhere. I did special offers on treatments but due to her moving to a salon round the corner and taking all clients she has even posted leaflets through people’s doors where my salon is. I won’t give up though it’s always been my dream to own my own salon and even though it’s getting close to the point I have no option to sell I refuse to give up

So I’m 1000% invested into starting my own business I know I’m not going to quit. I am investing into a shed to put in my backyard (will be completely presentable) & creating a salon. I have people supporting me & Ive been working & practicing & I feel I’m ready. Do you think I’m jumping the gun? I can afford rent in other buildings.
I worked in my house for 2 years, building my clientel, recently my mom was at the dentist and the doctor went crazy with her lashes, stop doing what she was doing on my moms teeth and called right away. After 1 month being my client she offered me a space in one of her clinics. Being kind, being professional, is the way to go, always 100% in every service and one day "luck will knock on your door".

This is making me cry inside because I just graduated from esthetician school in Feb, took me until April to pass my test (long story why i took two months to take my test), i’m just getting my first spa job which I haven’t even started yet bc the owner’s mother died recently so she’s dealing with that, i already quit my serving job to fulfill my dream with 100% of my attention, and now i feel stuck, broke, and kind of at loss of focus bc i’m worried about money and the bit of money i have left, i think to myself should i just buy what I need to just begin on my own at home, but then i worry about what if i don’t get any bookings and i wasted the last bit of money that i don’t have while i’m wondering when will i start at the spa…. I feel like i am struggling to begin even tho this is what i want.. i have zero support to be able to spend money on supplies to just start on my own 😞😞😞
this was so real. I got certified in 2019 and it was hard hard. I went to amazing lash ...and then pandemic hit.I was kinda scared of being close up to people lol, then I started doing press ons. this video made me just get my lash kit back out....and order new glue lol

Thank you for doing this video and encouraging us. I too took a one day course of 6 hours and felt like I didn’t know what I was doing because the instructor didn’t teach on every aspect of the job; such as isolating lashes, cleaning them... she only showed us how to apply an individual lash for a classic look and let us practice just that, though the certification was for classic and volume lashes. She showed us how she makes her fans for volume lashes but never had us practice making them nor applying them 😏
I'm going to use my tax money to market. I'm going to keep my part-time job but I refuse to keep spinning my wheels for someone else. If I keep being worried about clientele, what I don't have, I will be stuck! Aveda taught me my weaknesses. I have to believe in me. I'm already broke. I'm already stuck...because I work for someone else. I got my marketing plan. I have my faith. Win or lose, I have to try. At least I will know what happens. Great video. ♥️

I got emotional watching this .. I just had my son & was trying to add services so I could avoid putting my baby in daycare, I saved and saved to take a lash class & ended up spending money without alot of knowledge but I practiced & ended up getting like 2 loyal clients ! I’m still struggling to get clients and I got discouraged and quit but I love lashing so much and this helped me want to push harder

The beauty industry is something that will always be around, it can take some people time to really realize that but there will always be money in this industry!

I absolutely love every video yall share with us, so much real information, I'm just starting as a side job to help, I have a special needs daughter who I love so much but have to keep home with me, I just want to work from home for now and eventually later down the road be able to open up my own place, I do this for my daughter I want a job where I can help my husband financially but have my daughter with me also and I realized I'm very blessed because actually the people that have come the most to try the lashes is my family, from my sister to aunts and neighbors, can't wait to have a lot more clients and see this grow and with Gods grace it will ;)

Awww man...i really have a lump in my throat right now because this video just gave me so much motivation-you just don’t understand!!! I did a lash course for $900 in January of 2019, I didn’t have many people to practice on and the small amount of friends and family I have that I thought would support didn’t! But I kept doing my mom and like 3 other people and then someone inquired about someone’s lashes that I did, they made an appointment but never showed so I was bummed because I need all the practice I can get...a couple of my friends came back like 3 to 4 times and I was starting to have less anxiety and more comfort but I still of course wasn’t good enough in my eyes so i had 0 confidence and always worried about being criticized!!! First I had a coworker that has never gotten lash extensions not to mention knows nothing about it tell me sarcastically “you still taking 3 hours to do people’s lashes” and then boom-I didn’t wanna do one of my friends lashes no more because I know it was something that she said to her because that was the mutual friend...and my confidence went down in the negative 😔.... THEN I’m doing my other friends lashes and learned that taping the lashes back helps with isolation and coverage BUT I didn’t know I had to untack the tape and pulled almost all of the lashes out after spending over 3 hours doing them...and that was it for me I QUIT!!! That was maybe summer 2019! I kept it in the back of my mind but I was so discouraged thinking this isn’t for me at all...I cried because my heart was set on this and I was fired from my job with 2 small children! But now I’ve been trying to build up some courage to start over...I’m going to take another class and learn some more tips tricks and techniques...then today I run across you guys TWICE and man o man how this one video gave me so much determination all over again....I don’t know where and how I’m gonna get people to practice on but I’m going to do this because it’s just sitting in my heart to do it and I’ll never forgive myself for never getting back to it if I don’t!!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! I am going to find some money and take you guys class and give it my all and IM GOING TO ACCOMPLISH MY GOALS OF BEING IN THE LASH BUSINESS!!!!

So many places pump her head full of how much money you’re gonna make and then I see girls just get so discouraged and lash less and less and quit! I love that you tell it how it is! I’ve been lashing for 9 months, 5 months full time and I’m an independent contractor and building clients pretty well....with that being said... it really is hard and I had to get creative with advertising! I just took a lash class last month, and also felt like Shauna when I was done.Didn't teach me much at all! I received 3 different lash certificates though... Even though I learned very little, but me being a fast learner. I was determined to learn how to isolate. I have been focused and will continue to focus until I see this thing through! Yo I cried while watching this. Over the past 2 years, I fell in love with entrepreneurship and just being able to have financial freedom and build a legacy for my family. I am the first to do this in my family but it has been so hard being a Lash Artist and Hairstylist, there are times when I feel like I am never going to get a steady flow of clients or never be where I envision myself, but the two of you have watered the seed that was planted and I am going to keep pushing by any means necessary!

This is so inspiring! My boyfriend and I watched this together. We definitely related to the broke life and the at-home lashing lmao but honestly this was an eye opener and made me realize that he's my number one supporter when I started lashing. Even all the struggles with money and wanting to put my services out there knowing that clientele will be hard at first, he never gave up and hes always promoting for me as well. I just sold my Apple Watch to pay for some of the supplies I needed 🤧 0 clients. I don’t have too many friends maybe 2 and family is 3hrs away from where I live. I just got certified and honestly you don’t learn a lot when you get trained for 4hrs.. however I purchased a book and I been watching UA-cam videos and practicing till 4am sometimes.. I love stories like this! I became a self taught MUA 2 years ago (soon to be lash tech) and I’m STILL trying to grow my clientele. If your serious about making the switch I would learn how to do lashes and start practicing so you can get good at them while your working your primary job. Eventually you will build up a client base and will be able to determine if your ready to make the full time switch. I am so happy I came across this video today. It gave me the motivation that I’ve needed. I am a lash artist here in LA. I’ve been lashing for a good 4 yrs now. I started JUST like you guys! In a room at my home. Then rented a studio @ Sola salon. It became too expensive for me. So went back to my home. It’s been a real struggle. Married, 2 toddlers & at 1 point 99 cent store cup of noodles and Mac and cheese kept us alive. My husband started a Auto Detailing business (foreign detailing) & we both are working out of our home. I am so thankful to have heard your story & know there is a bright future for me, my family & my business. I can’t wait to come out to Vegas & visit your salon!!! I’m working at the bank right now and I can’t do it anymore. I have never been the type that could stay in a job long because I can’t stand with working for someone else. I got my esthetician license in April of this year and I want to get my certification for lashes. I’m going full time in September in my business. I have no money saved, I have not a clientele yet but you just boost me. I just need to take that leap of faith and go with God. I didn’t stumble on your channel for nothing. Divine connection. If you trust in God, he will make sure you can make a great living doing something you are passionate about being your own boss. I’m not one to tell someone how to live their life, but if you hate your job at the bank, and don’t enjoy what you do, it’s probably time to take the next step in your career. This really helps a lot I bought my first salon in June 2018 the lady I brought the salon from took all of our money and then left taking all the clientele and everything in the salon yet she stated she was leaving everything and the clients as she could no longer work due to health but it was all a trick to get money an pay off her debts and now she is working in another salon round the corner from the salon I bought off her and I have been struggling every time I get new clients she takes them she has stalked all my social media platforms even though I blocked her she gets someone to make fake accounts I have two small children and when I bought my salon I had saved and saved to buy it as a year before myself an my kids had no home we had nothing and I had to work hard to get the money for us to live I also worked things out with their dad so we could have a home again even though he was in the wrong but I worked hard to get money to buy into my own business so I could make a future for my kids and she took everything I’m now in the process of losing my car because I can’t pay for it due to this woman taking everything from me. But I still keep showing up at my salon everyday and sit there most days from early morning till late at night with no clients an I do it because I am committed and post offers and discounted treatments Iv sent out flyers everything an nothing but I still show up everyday I literally have no money left to put into my business and I have considered selling but I keep the faith that things will turn around and get better. My kids dad doesn’t help me at all or support me at all it’s like we live together as a family but we not together so I do everything on my own and I’m not ashamed to admit that because I know I will be able to say to my kids I never gave up no matter how much I lost I kept going and trying for their future

Iv revamped the salon and changed the salon name and signs promoted on social media sent out flyers everywhere. I did special offers on treatments but due to her moving to a salon round the corner and taking all clients she has even posted leaflets through people’s doors where my salon is. I won’t give up though it’s always been my dream to own my own salon and even though it’s getting close to the point I have no option to sell I refuse to give up

So I’m 1000% invested into starting my own business I know I’m not going to quit. I am investing into a shed to put in my backyard (will be completely presentable) & creating a salon. I have people supporting me & Ive been working & practicing & I feel I’m ready. Do you think I’m jumping the gun? I can afford rent in other buildings.
I worked in my house for 2 years, building my clientel, recently my mom was at the dentist and the doctor went crazy with her lashes, stop doing what she was doing on my moms teeth and called right away. After 1 month being my client she offered me a space in one of her clinics. Being kind, being professional, is the way to go, always 100% in every service and one day "luck will knock on your door".

This is making me cry inside because I just graduated from esthetician school in Feb, took me until April to pass my test (long story why i took two months to take my test), i’m just getting my first spa job which I haven’t even started yet bc the owner’s mother died recently so she’s dealing with that, i already quit my serving job to fulfill my dream with 100% of my attention, and now i feel stuck, broke, and kind of at loss of focus bc i’m worried about money and the bit of money i have left, i think to myself should i just buy what I need to just begin on my own at home, but then i worry about what if i don’t get any bookings and i wasted the last bit of money that i don’t have while i’m wondering when will i start at the spa…. I feel like i am struggling to begin even tho this is what i want.. i have zero support to be able to spend money on supplies to just start on my own 😞😞😞

Thank you for doing this video and encouraging us. I too took a one day course of 6 hours and felt like I didn’t know what I was doing because the instructor didn’t teach on every aspect of the job; such as isolating lashes, cleaning them... she only showed us how to apply an individual lash for a classic look and let us practice just that, though the certification was for classic and volume lashes. She showed us how she makes her fans for volume lashes but never had us practice making them nor applying them 😏

I got emotional watching this .. I just had my son & was trying to add services so I could avoid putting my baby in daycare, I saved and saved to take a lash class & ended up spending money without alot of knowledge but I practiced & ended up getting like 2 loyal clients ! I’m still struggling to get clients and I got discouraged and quit but I love lashing so much and this helped me want to push harder

Men are always so unaware of how lucrative the beauty industry is. I completed a contract on a cruise line and before I left my boyfriend was under the impression that I wouldn’t make any money.......😒😒
The beauty industry is something that will always be around, it can take some people time to really realize that but there will always be money in this industry!

I absolutely love every video yall share with us, so much real information, I'm just starting as a side job to help, I have a special needs daughter who I love so much but have to keep home with me, I just want to work from home for now and eventually later down the road be able to open up my own place, I do this for my daughter I want a job where I can help my husband financially but have my daughter with me also and I realized I'm very blessed because actually the people that have come the most to try the lashes is my family, from my sister to aunts and neighbors, can't wait to have a lot more clients and see this grow and with Gods grace it will ;)

Awww man...i really have a lump in my throat right now because this video just gave me so much motivation-you just don’t understand!!! I did a lash course for $900 in January of 2019, I didn’t have many people to practice on and the small amount of friends and family I have that I thought would support didn’t! But I kept doing my mom and like 3 other people and then someone inquired about someone’s lashes that I did, they made an appointment but never showed so I was bummed because I need all the practice I can get...a couple of my friends came back like 3 to 4 times and I was starting to have less anxiety and more comfort but I still of course wasn’t good enough in my eyes so i had 0 confidence and always worried about being criticized!!! First I had a coworker that has never gotten lash extensions not to mention knows nothing about it tell me sarcastically “you still taking 3 hours to do people’s lashes” and then boom-I didn’t wanna do one of my friends lashes no more because I know it was something that she said to her because that was the mutual friend...and my confidence went down in the negative 😔.... THEN I’m doing my other friends lashes and learned that taping the lashes back helps with isolation and coverage BUT I didn’t know I had to untack the tape and pulled almost all of the lashes out after spending over 3 hours doing them...and that was it for me I QUIT!!! That was maybe summer 2019! I kept it in the back of my mind but I was so discouraged thinking this isn’t for me at all...I cried because my heart was set on this and I was fired from my job with 2 small children! But now I’ve been trying to build up some courage to start over...I’m going to take another class and learn some more tips tricks and techniques...then today I run across you guys TWICE and man o man how this one video gave me so much determination all over again....I don’t know where and how I’m gonna get people to practice on but I’m going to do this because it’s just sitting in my heart to do it and I’ll never forgive myself for never getting back to it if I don’t!!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! I am going to find some money and take you guys class and give it my all and IM GOING TO ACCOMPLISH MY GOALS OF BEING IN THE LASH BUSINESS!!!!

Hey guys! After watching your video I have to say it’s so refreshing to hear someone tell the truth about starting out! So many places pump her head full of how much money you’re gonna make and then I see girls just get so discouraged and lash less and less and quit! I love that you tell it how it is! I’ve been lashing for 9 months, 5 months full time and I’m an independent contractor and building clients pretty well....with that being said... it really is hard and I had to get creative with advertising! I just keep going and don’t give up! I appreciate your story and congrats on your success! Hopefully I’ll get there one day 🥰

I just took a lash class last month, and also felt like Shauna when I was done.Didn't teach me much at all! I received 3 different lash certificates though...
