We are also a family of 5 on one income, i wish i could spend as little as you do! We live in Canada and groceries cost so much! I usually spend $300 a week on groceries but i also have a teen son who eats alot, my preteen isn't bad and my toddler eats like a bird.
Oh my!! Yeah we’ve started to experience that as well. We’ve had to raise our weekly budget up a few times due to the cost of food rising. My toddlers have now started eating like little vacuums so we’re going through food so much quicker lol
Hi I'm new to your channel I too am a Aldi's fan I shop there twice a month I'm on a plant-based diet the prices are great and that's a great grocery haul
Hey! So happy you’re here 🥰 yes! Their prices are unmatched! They have great plant based options. I used to buy a lot of plant based/vegan options when my baby was really dairy/egg intolerant when I was nursing. The prices are super affordable
New to your channel and enjoyed it very much. Thanks for the tips on the avocados. Love them but as you mentioned, food costs way too much to waste these days. I am a 69 year old widow, but i love to learn something new every day. New subscriber and looking forward to more.
Hi!! I’m so happy you’re here! I’m glad you found this helpful. When I found out about the avocado trick it changed everything! We rarely ever waste them now since we can slow the ripening process
Hi! A fellow DMVer!! This week we made chili, beans and rice with drumsticks, pasta, and chicken breasts that we made into chicken salad! What about you?
@@DoraRenzi-z9joh no I’m sorry to hear that! I found when I have a smaller budget I definitely have to be creative in grocery store and try to keep my pantry stocked with dry goods and shop at the store for veggies or fruits and meat
Oh I love grocery hauls from other countries! I just moved to Japan and love showing what I get at the supermarket too. Finding new stuff is so cool! 😊 I think grocery shopping in different countries gives great insight into what the country’s culture is like!
@@BarefootBites Haha it's really different than from what you get at my home country's supermarkets (which is Germany), so it's always a little adventure to explore the shelves 😆
@@BarefootBites In Japan there are sooo many things from the sea, and that in a huge variety. They have a very fresh fish counter in every supermarket where you can also get octopus, squid and all of these things. That always surprises me 😆

Seriously! It’s the best
New to your channel, love from VA. What is the menu for the week? Nice haul with varieties.

Just drain the tuna and rinse it with water. I’ve made the same mistake.
Thank you for the tip! Lol it’s literally been sitting on my shelf and I’m wondering if it’s going to be super greasy 😂
My budget is $💯 per week
That was our budget last year! Have you found that you’re able to get everything?
@@BarefootBites no but am disabled ♿ and can't work
