Wiley Sharp Catamaran Expert the ideo work is getting top notch...just one critisism...WHATS THE HURRY!...too too rushed...great shots & excellent presentation...but man...no gap in the traffic to take things in...nice nice boat...cheers from New Zealand
I have one criticism. everything is beautifully presented except the price I know the price can be 500K-1M up or down depending on the equipment, but is it so hard to say: "The price of the presented model on the video is xxx US$ or Euros" and that it's on most video presentations I know someone will say, "If you ask for the price, it means you have no money," but that's stupid. We're in the Internet age, and by the way, if you're hiding the price, you're a probably double-dealer and trying something to scam in sales, why else would you hide the price? If I like video presentations, and if the price is in my budget, I can easily call the dealer.
Tihomir, thanks for the comment and we understand your frustration. The real reason we don't mention the price in the video is that, like homes, or cars, private sellers change their asking price all the time (usually lower). Mentioning the price could date the video very quickly. Instead we try to put a link in the description for viewers to check. We should do a better job of letting people know this info 'can be found below.'
Pricing: With a 2 year waiting list, don't expect huge rebates ;-) Secondly, the base price doesn't mean much: It's a calling price. Adding all the outfitting, nav, com delivery and "widgets" can make your head spin. Saba 50, Base Price ex factory about 640,000 EUR Edit: Hence, you can easily double that price.
Just basically tell yourself it's about a $1mil, that way when you go to buy it and it ends up being less, you'll feel like you really got a great deal, lol! And just my two cents never buy a french boat, loads of problems await just my op
Great video Wiley! It's a leap above the rest. I don't know the market or how long these videos can keep people's attention, so it may have been a little long, but it held my attention the whole time. See you in two weeks.
It finally hit me. I am part of the Toronto Multihull Cruising Club (TMCC) of Ontario Canada and this past fall at haul out, we had a new boat that the name sounded familiar! Now I will admit that I try to catch every videos from Wiley because of their quality and good information like I was doing earlier when it hit me?!? Safire !!!! Of coarse... "It's in one of Wileys video that I heard that name..." I did have the pleasure to board that boat and what a beauty she is indeed. You can see her get pulled out of the water (the last boat of the video). Just type ( don landry haul out ) on UA-cam.
the amount of space inside her is incredible ! to me, when i first saw her, it was not possible to make 8 people live inside a boat this size, but actually, there are 4 double beds !
A really nice yacht but most importantly, the most professional, well planned, perfectly narrated yacht video and really one of the best presentation videos I have ever seen! The narrator did not waste a single word! AAA+++
Excellent review covered in under 10 minutes. Sweet! I am impressed with the overall design of this catamaran, inside and out. Great set-up overall. I was surprised the owner decided to include a fourth stateroom on the owner's side. I think I would have used the fourth bedroom as a storage, workshop, spare parts room.
VERY nicely done video. Thanks SO much for properly describing the salon. Too many British brokers always use the word saloon to describe that area, and it really pisses me off. This is one of the best walkthrough videos I've seen on UA-cam so keep up the good work. Thanks again.
Hey Wiley! Been following you for some time now and the videos are getting better and better. Great job bud. Question, If someone flew into FL to see what you currently have to offer, do you set up a visit list as home brokers would? Also, what's the usual turn around time for a purchase there? In Greece, the bureaucracy can be an upwards of 2 years. Thanks bud! Keep up the great work
I love the way he loves everything so much and finds no fault with anything. Total opposite toe a newspaper article. Yep nice boat but personally, I would have wanted more space around the island beds. hate tucking sheets in down against wall and mattress.
My dream Cruising Yacht, OMG!!! Only thing I would change is make ALL the hatches recessed to avoid stubbing my toes, cuz you know I am gonna be barefoot, lol. Also, I am sure there are accessories, upgrades, etc that would be appreciated. Perhaps you can discuss on another video the recommended personal touches that can be added, although, I am sure every owner can do pretty much whatever they want. Oh, and what's the cost of this beauty? I am thinking 1.2 million USD. Thanks for an amazing walkthrough as usual, best I have ever seen, give your video man/woman a raise, they are the best out there.
love your thoughts... especially on the recessed hatches. re: the other video idea... thats a good one and we'll look into it for our next catamaran shoot.
Love the video quality and the walk through! Wiley is a fantastic, knowledgeable cat expert. I do like his handheld "Pano" videos a lot as well. Don't be afraid to slow down the speed of the video presentation.
Wileys quick panos are the single reason we get out of bed in the morning. re: slowing down the videos... duly noted. we're always trying to make these better and you guys always have the best feedback.
With a big cat like that, you should have an Expandacraft modular boat of some kind on board. Expandacraft is a modular multihull which fits in small spaces and can transform into all sorts of watercraft. Row, paddle, paddle, sail or motor, it's like the Lego of boats
nice video, jumps around a bit so you get confused as to which direction you are looking (eg prefer more continuous walk through style) but you covered everything and looks like a great boat. Which brings me to my question.....how come you never say how much the boats are listed for and how much is this boat? And how much is a factory ordered Saba 50? (eg what additions has this owner added etc). Very curious about the sundeck extension.......how does that work in the wind eg does it need to be dismantled often or once you seal up the sides the structure can be left up continuously in a storm without any issues.
Sorry Anti P. Hard to do when the price changes often. Similar to real estate and cars. Click link in the description to stay updated. Best way we know how. Open to suggestions to make this easier.

Hi Wiley, If you had a choice would you take a 2018 Leopard 50 OR 2018 Saba 50? What has better build quality and access to services (Pumps, electrics Etc.) for maintenance.
@@catamarancentral So, if I understand you, performance-wise this boat is on par with--or even surpasses--a Balance 526 (manufacturer claimed average of 10-12 knots), notwithstanding having a 3 foot shorter waterline, 44% less sail area, and 4 tonnes more mass? Hmmm...

Manufacturers need to start making videos of this quality about their new release yachts. Good job guys.
i agree 100% this was fantastic!
even better if some reviewer - said what was good and bad or if the owner did a video and told what thoughts they had....

One of the most beautiful yet practical cats I've seen.
I'm not a fan of the angled nav station (It strikes me as something which would be really annoying to use) but other than that yes
This is my dream catamaran! Can't wait to sail it all over the globe
wow the room on this boat is increadable what a sweet boat she is !

I wish they had answered this, i would've liked to know also
I'm in love
us too :) maybe a double date?
I'd like to see this boat in a 90+ footer with azipods and a serious launch/davit system.
Over 20 knots??
While surfing? With a 50 knot down wind? With both engines running full bore?
come on.... Wiley wouldnt lie!
The owner may have, and Wiley should know better.
If she had that much wind, she'd be a submarine right now. Or de-masted.
Hence my post.
With favorable winds, this is a 7-9 knot boat.
And I haven't yet decided on this, or a Privilege 5 series.
See you folks soon.
32 kn winds on a beam/broad reach fyi

Nice vessel but i would have that grill shifted to the port side cause of outboard motor .
And curve those edges on tables and counter.
That is not a bad idea, it would be nice and an easy fix.
