I just try a demo ride and I test the same bike you have and yes as soon you ride the bike you can tell immediately its so plush. all suspension works great no hesitation on the trails. for know I still ride my 26er santa cruz superlight. and I hope I can get one end of the year. have a safe and fun ride.
Good review and a nice looking bike from 9er...... but my last RIP 9 creaked so bad at its pivots that it single handily sent me to my current 2019 SC Chameleon hard tail as my one and only bike. No matter how many new bearings I pressed in, the creak would always return in a couple hundred miles.
@@nerfherderdavid I live and ride in the SoCal high desert and only washed my RIP 9 with water one time in its life. Otherwise it was a wipe down with a damp microfiber towel. It was the way the bearings fit into the frame's bearing shell.. they were too loose and could be pressed in by my thumb if I really wanted to. Just bad tolerances and I'm happy to be rid of it.
It’s crazy how subjective sizing is. You’re 6’2” and on a large?! No wonder you think it feels like a BMX. I’m 5’9 and without-question getting a large. Their numbers are right in line with a lot of mediums in this range. Crazy.
The frame has internal tubes for the all the cable routing.

ThunderStruckCoach grave dig ... do you wash your bikes regularly?
