Ditto !!!!!!! Absolutely the best band on the planet !!!!!! You could spend hours dissecting this song.....Masterpiece !!!!!
This song was apparently a homework assignment from Kanami. She told everyone to write their own sections of the song, and then worked all of them into this whole. I hope she gave everyone an A+ for this. Kanamincho sensei, continue to teach us all what real rock music is.
This is the kind of homework that pisses you off and hate school but after completing you are like omg I’m a proud genius! Thank you sensei!
i think Miku was responsible for the "Far Away" melody.. and MISA couldn't recognize the part she submitted even after Kanami pointed it out
Miku may be the Sempai, but when it comes to guitar, Mincho is the Sempai! "Call me Sensei!" "Sensei, po."
I saw an interview where Misa said she did her homework while she was drunk and later regretted it because it was hard to reproduce... but she struggled through.
@@mickypinestraw7866 well to be honest most of her bass playing sounds like she wrote it while being drunk. Not saying its a bad thing
Band-Maid is the best band on the planet today. Kanami is a hit making machine. I have their Live at Shibuya Blu-ray DVD and the first few songs are mind blowing and Blooming is one of them,Just incredible. I'm a musician and I find Band-Maid the most talented musicians today. Loved your reaction. 👍👍
No. They are the best in their genre - Hard Rock.
Best band in the world
Disagree. Best Rock band in Japan, maybe. But they can't match Lovebites.
@@ChrisPage68 they can't match lovebite as a metal band? faster shredding? longer solo? or what?
the term "best"is fairly subjective, those who prefer Band Maid surely would think they are the best, even better than Lovebites, but it is nothing wrong to think LB is better for some people... we all can have different taste in music.
Personally I think Band Maid 's music is more interesting and easy for my ears.
@@ChrisPage68 Lovebites is power metal band. Not really the same thing. Band Maid writes much better melodies and frankly much more listenable. I like Lovebites but their basically ironmaiden in female form, nothing wrong with that, of course.
In my opinion the last solo section and outro is peak Band Maid. A huge wall of sound, incredible soothing vocals with Kanami fucking ripping on that PRS, great chord changes. I don't know what else to say other than Band Maid is the greatest modern rock band of all time
Agree 100%
I’ve been waiting for this band for at least 45 years
Man, the sweet singing voices along with the badass solo is what gives me life.
If I made Kanami's guitar and heard it played it like that I'd feel like my work on this planet is complete. She's the sort of guitarist that captures the spirit of rock and especially playing lead perfectly. Not just mega-skilled but insanely hard-working and with a real feeling for it. What a gift.
My favorite BM reactor. I was one of those who was all for the Patreon BM reactions. Sorry the negativity was too much. But I understand not wanting to deal with it.
Appreciate it my dude... it wasn't even that bad. But I like to keep things light on here or else it starts to feel like a job instead of fun, and arguing with strangers online just aint it.
"Legitimately the best band in the world."
Truer words have never been spoken.
Yes they have. This is not empirically true.
@@ChrisPage68
It is in my book. Your book might be different though.
:)
I cannot fathom the dedication and hard work it took for these artists to reach this level of detail and execution... they are remolding rock into something new. Something remarkable.
Oh wow, I didn't realize you haven't heard Blooming until now. This song is up in popularity with Dice. Akane goes crazy on the drums, and Kanami's solo is insane.
And MISA goes nuts in the background
Talent off the scale, creativity beyond belief. They are just THE BEST!
Yea this one is my favorite song of BAND-MAID it has everything.
👉 Akane: wicked drumming thru out the song.
👉 Kanami: insane guitar solo.
👉 Saiki / Miku: Vocal harmonizing.
👉 MISA: Bass breakdown.
👉 Breakdown section at the end.
Overall a Masterpiece!
*Blooming the gateway drug of BAND-MAID!!!*
YES ! The best band in the world... Sorry Baby metal but now there is BAND-MAID !
2 bands two worlds.
:) LOVE THEM BOTH! "Babymetal" is one word. Can't abreiviate BM ha ha . . :)
I love Kami Band but the silly little cheerleaders are a joke
The only joke here is you posing your uneducated opinion as fact, while they are revered by the great names in metal.
BabyMetal is not really a band they are more of an experience
Uh..Lovebites.
Best band in the world indeed ! I love them like i never loved any band before, no joke
Also your reactions are really interesting to watch for a guy with no so great musical knowledge like me, you manage to spot things i would never spot on my own. thanks and keep going ! :D
Only need five words to sum this up "Best band on the world".
I think Blooming is new "hey listen to this band" song for them, used to be Dice, but I think this is better, IMO. It has all their signature style now.
Mind blowing song, again.
Good job reatcor👍👌
Thank you for your wonderful reaction! Blooming is the most exciting song in recent shows.
Finally finally finally! I've been waiting for you to react to this! This is one of my favorites. Hope you do day dreaming soon.
I saw a live video of this at one time but only once and I think it's disappeared. You can imagine how good it was. Watching a music video of this one might think there was no way they could do it live unless one was familiar with how good Band Maid is. They killed it.
They are in fact the very best rock band in existence.
HAHAHA... He finally admit that Band-Maid is the best rockband in the world... Nice, was waiting for your reaction and you had the perfect song after such a long time. Really nice to hear your opinion, your thoughts and that you are so excited about them! Great reaction again, have a good one!
He said 'BEST BAND' in the world, not Best Rock Band and I agree ! Respect
@@airlinesecret6725 A LOT of people, especially "metalguys" getting pissed off by that AS HELL... So i am trying to be polite, for me they are also the best band in the world, but i don´t wanna offend anyone, it´s CRAZY how some fans (i don´t wanna name the group) getting aggressive, so yeah... I am an guy who needs harmony, you know :D
@@Slippy6582 No, they are the best Rock band in the world...possibly. Metal is a different genre altogether - one BM do not fit into. But that's OK. I like what they do - but grandiose claims like "best band in the world" don't stand up.
You just mainlined the BAND-MAID gateway drug! 😎🤘🕊️🎸🥁🥃🎤
One of my absolute fave BM moments - from the crazy tapping guitar solo which works you into a frenzy, they STOP and drop you off a cliff where you don't drop - you float - in the sunshine of those beautiful harmonies - then chorus. THEN... the end is a repeat of the floating them only faster over the top of another flaming Kanami, followed by a nifty chord progression outro. DUDE!!!!
Yeah, one of my favorite parts of the song.
One of my favs. Great driving song. Glad you finally got a chance to check it out.
Please don't let a couple haters sway your opinion. If you want to do the Patreon thing for B-M, then f'n do it. 99% of us won't think any less of you.
"Blooming" is from their latest album "Conqueror". It is the most diverse album they put out so far. You already heard "Wonderland" from it - the difference between these two songs are a good hint to that you can expect from "Conqueror". It just goes in all the different directions. Each song it changes the pace, but they put a lot effort to decide on the song order, so it still has a very nice flow to it.
They tried something different with the composition for "Blooming". Before that, if "composed by Band-Maid" is stated for a song, it meant - it's mostly Kanami. Normally Kanami comes up with something, makes a demo, all listen and decide if it's good and give their thoughts on it. Kanami also does the most basic drums (she gives the basics for them digitaly, so purely software-based, as she doesn't play drums), and Akane "refines" it, well, she does it properly, adds her little spice to it, but doesn't change the flow/beat too drastically. MISA comes up with her bass-lines along with Akane (afair Kanami doesn't write bass-lines at all, MISA and Akane work on that together). As you know already Miku is the main lyricist, and sometimes Saiki is co-credited. Kanami and Miku don't talk about lyrics at all. Kanami comes up with something, and uses fake-lyrics in a made-up language with some random japanese or wanna-be-english words just for the sake of a melody. Miku listens to the demo and writes the lyrics as she thinks it fits. Saiki helps refining them (Miku writes sometimes stuff Saiki isn't able to sing, so they change that together... or they just learn how to sing it... it's Band-Maid XD ). But the lyrics are very very different from that Kanami had in her head on doing the demo. I read only one interview where Kanami stated she was very happy with one particular song - Miku just knew that Kanami wanted (felt by composing it) without them talking about it (it's a personal one for Kanami, and they know each other for years... so Miku just knew). So it's not that Kanami is/was unhappy with the lyrics for most songs, they are just very different from the things she thought of ;) So they just keep on working on a song, rewriting it, adding things, removing things - until Saiki calls it. She has the last say. She is very direct - if it sucks, she says so, if she doesn't like it, she says so, ... The 4 would tinker with a song infinitely, waiting for her to approve. ... Everyone need someone (very direct, no BS, tells you how it is without playing around) like Saiki in life :)
"Blooming"... they tried something new with this one. It's a group effort. Everyone came up with different parts. They combined and rearranged everything together. Kanami stated that she doesn't even know anymore which part of the song is from who. Except - the intro is MISA (she stated afterwards that she feels it's too simple, should have been more refined) and the slow singing part + vocal melody (after Kanamis solo) is Miku.
They also tried some other different approaches with other songs on "Conqueror" - but I'll leave it at that, don't wanna spoil before you listen to them :D
PS:
about Saiki and rapping haha
ever seen photos of her without the "maid"-uniform? It ranges between very classy and very athletic/sporty (she has a somewhat unique style, ... it's soo "Saiki"). She is a "Nike" fangirl, collecting sneakers (nike air-jordans etc) :D
you would never expect her to sing in a hard-rock band if you see her in her street-clothes. just judging from her outfits - hip-hop and r'n'b background would be what most would assume probably ;)
Thanks for that very interesting, I appreciate the time and effort !
Her Instagram for anyone to witness her street fashionista and merch modelling.

>> I read only one interview where Kanami stated she was very happy with one particular song - Miku just knew that Kanami wanted (felt by composing it) without them talking about it (it's a personal one for Kanami, and they know each other for years... so Miku just knew).
Do you remember which song this was?
@@jeanclaudediscaya8735
Yes. It's "Azure" from "Conqueror".
Over the years Band-Maid members were asked about their favorite mangas/animes. Akane, Saiki and Kanami answered the same everytime - "Neon Genesis Evangelion" (A.), "Sailormoon" (S.) ... and "Coji-Coji" for Kanami. Coji-Coji is not very known outside Japan (and some near Asian-countries), it's a very childish, very cutesy-sweet long-running Manga. Seeing how Kanami behaves - it's basically her in a nutshell :)
Well, the manga creator passed away earlier 2018, and Kanami being a big fan of hers, expressed her sorrow in the composition. The beginning of the song (and throughout later parts) uses the melody of another song from a famous jap. singer. The manga artist was a fan of hers and her music was used in Coji-Coji.
Mikus lyrics for "Azure" are exactly that. A song about sorrow and finding peace, about letting someone go... It's a bittersweet tribute for Momoko Sakura (the manga creator), kind of a "Farewell and thank you"
I can't remember where I read about it first. My quick google-fu came up with this reddit post
www.reddit.com/r/BandMaid/comments/ef0s52/azure/
it basically explains the same... so check out the links if you're interested (-> the org song). The linked interview in japanese doesn't go specifically into "Azure" (i've read it somewhere else...)
...
but it mentions some others songs... The others seem to ask about Mikus mind-set often regarding her lyrics. "Puzzle"/"Wonderland" -> "are you having an affair?!".
She just goes on saying, she doesn't write about herself, mostly inspired from movies/books etc. And if it were about herself, it would be even darker ;D
Kanami just seems to get a giggle out of Mikus interpretations. For example, they mentioned "Page" a couple of times. Kanami composed it as a song to be played at weddings, Mikus lyrics are about the "Beauty" overall. So yeah, it's off but not that far, I would say. Kanami and Miku seem to enjoy this kind of "brainstorm" so they won't change this approach, I think
ps: i don't speak japanese. so i rely on google translate for it. and it sucks. keep that in mind pls
@@w.b.562 Wow, thanks for the detailed answer. Makes me want to watch more of their interviews and learn Japanese to see what else they've added to their songs.
That first transition you were confused about sounded like was Kanami doing artificial pinch harmonics.
they are the best band in the world, and it never gets old seeing someone realize that they are
Thanks man for the sound, at last we can enjoy it in the same time with you!
Trop HOT ce band !
This song was my introduction to Band-Maid. I had seen reactions all over UA-cam and I had passed over them so many times. One of my better decisions, finally deciding to listen to them. They will probably always be my favorite band of all time.
Did I hear that correctly? "The best band in the world". Yup. 😎👌
Nope.
Great job as usual. Very interesting insights, even with songs I´ve listen to a hundred times you dig out for me a new detail that brings a new approach to the song. On the other hand, you do well to ignore negative comments about patreon. Go your own way, there are too many opinions and too little analysis in the comments on the internet. The worse song of Band Maid?. Well I particulary don´t like At the drop of the hat, but I know there is many fans that like it. Check Start Over if you want, many people would vote it as the worst but for me is a marvelous one.
Nice job, man👍🤘
They're so good musically that sometimes you almost forget they're cute Japanese girls in maid outfits.
Best band in the world?? Have you heard Band Maiko? They'll give 'em a run for their money.
We've been trying to get him to do a double reaction to Secret my lips and Secret maiko lips, but he hasn't gotten there yet. He'll love it when he does though.
LOL, that's my line.
@@BM4-Life Was it? Sorry 'bout that. Let's see if he gets it. tehe
Yes never forget Hatoko / Fujiki / Kanoemi / Umemisa / Akatsuki can give these 'Maid' girls a run for their money.
The best at what they do, but not as good as Lovebites. I would add Kanami to Lovebites, but the combined guitars of Midori, Miyako AND Kanami might send me over the edge of sanity.. 😰
Once in a while you have to sit back and bask in the awesomeness that is *BAND-MAID* 😊
The first time I heard this I thought, okay, a nice pop song. But each time I hear it I hear something new. Thanks for pointing out the drums during the lead.
"OOOhhh, what's this?" um, brief....
Oh, and the three tone feedback at the end of Kanami's solo. Lovely
yeah, I love how Kanami hits those feedback tones in tune with the singing breakdown. Shades of Eddie Van Halen.....
Really think you need to see Time by BAND-MAID, yet another side of them too see! As usual, loving the reactions!
Now, most bands, would be happy getting one song on this level per album, with some other good songs and a bit of filler. That's not how BAND-MAID roll. It's all relentless quality all the way; no bad songs, many are great and a few masterpieces per album. Their average quality bar is where most bands peak.
Why 58 thousand people watched this reaction and only 2K likes.
Ever since I started watching your Band-Maid and Lovebites videos I've been listening more intently to my music collection. I dive deeper into the music every time I listen to a track. :)
It just love being able to hear the bassist and it feel really unique.
Man, This is what i like about these japanese bands, they take a lot of influences from different genres and not just be hard cores of certain genre. This is what western rock/metal is lacking, the lack of innovation because everyone's so hard core, admit it band-maid is progressive, but its not the same progressive as whatever math rock or insanity is happening in the west. n the west, if you say progressive most people think you need to sound a certain way to be classified in that genre. But these japanese bands, they don't care what genre they'd be classified in. Gotta thank X japan for that though, they were the first band to combine pop, metal, even electronic music together and not give a fuck about what the producers think.
I love your reaction channel bro and also i love band maid..🥰 greetings from Philippines 🤘
sound like everyone is just playing their solo is because each of them write their part independently but the best part its fckking work, thats bandmaid for ya
Kanami's transitions
Great to have BAND-MAID back👍🏻 I would love to see your reaction to there songs Reincarnation, Don’t let me down or Real existence 🤘🏻
Holy crap just realized this guy still didn’t react to reincarnation
SPERanger yeah👍🏻 hope it’s next🤘🏻
Akane" I know, I'll just do a drum fill for the whole guitar solo" OK!
I agree, they're legitimately the best band on this or any other planet.
I feel like I have to hear a song or two each day or I may go into withdrawal. Lol
Oh yeah, Saiki's voice goes weirdly up at the end. That's why I watch you man, the atention to detail its what I like your reactions. Keep it up my friend and yes more Band Maid ahahaha try "Secret MY lips" for the next one!
Great reaction to my favorite band maid song! It’s too bad about the patreon thing since I’m pretty impatient and wouldn’t mind it to see BM each week but to be fair I was expecting way more negativity since it’s such a polarizing topic. I thought a lot of comments against it were actually fair and maybe critical. But a few toxic ones and yeah I don’t blame you. Can’t wait to see a reaction to some of their subtitled interviews so you get to see a bit of what they are like off stage!
yea def, like 99% were totally reasonable. But idk... I just want this to be fun, and it just got less fun instantly when I had to start explaining shit, ya know?
For that bit at the end that took you out of the song, where Saiki got boosted, for me it was a great moment. Her voice had been pushed to the back, harmonizing with Miku, while Kanami's solo had the foreground. Then, as the solo ended, Saiki detransitioned from the strictly regulated harmonizing and brought the last line of the bridge reprisal with her to the foreground. Notice that she gave it a little more vocal flair than when she was synced with Miku. To me it was the final joining of the bridge to the rest of the song and was a deliberate design choice.
I agree with you. That moment of Saiki's voice taking off from the rest of the music and vocals that sound in the background gives a stroke of brilliance to the entrance of the latest musical coda. For me it is a brilliant result.
Thanks, good to be shown some new cool things in the song. In a fairly recent Reddit poll, Blooming came equal favorite Band-Maid song, but there were so many vying for the top spot, this only had about 7% of the vote. Apart from the early stuff when they were just starting (and Miku's Lil Cumin days!), The Dragon Cries and Start Over get the worst press. I like both, but I could really do without the video for Start Over and I find it difficult to watch the images for The Dragon Cries and finish the song thinking 'I enjoyed that'. Musically, TDC reminds me of Physical Graffiti era Led Zeppelin.TDC live is a different beast and much better received. When told that people liked the live version of TDC, Saiki said 'zama...' (presumably the start of zama miro, which could be rendered, 'ha, I knew, F*** you!' ) before Miku quickly but gently stopped her. Presumably the message was for those who did the final production and compression, but could be the nay sayers. Whatever, Saiki was definitely not pleased.
Brief departure from pop? What's happening Champ?
How can you stand it so long without BAND-MAID, would be impossible for me.
Often all three do the solo simultaneously, Kanami, Akane and MISA, as it's here. It's not that prominent, but MISA is on a similar intense level.
It gets harder every time...
Akane (drummer) has said that Kanami (lead-guitar) "made" her work hard on her double pedaling to get up to the scorching 180bpm pace for _Blooming_ and _Rinne._
Are we ready for Akane’s blast beats? Yes, yes we are.
If Someone ever makes a rockumentary about BAND-MAID, I've heard Andy Serkis is interested in doing mo-cap for Akane.
That would be awesome!
your comments are getting weirder and weirder, lol ;)
@@ernestnesbon cheers Ernest. I think of Akane & my brain goes stupid.
@@GaryHolloway-810 haha i see

I love the slow burn of how this song grows on you from start to finish. You even commented towards the beginning that you weren't sure if you liked it yet. Same thing happened to me, now it's one of my faves. You should really check out Secret My Lips if you haven't yet. The official video from their UA-cam channel is the studio version over live footage, and is great. So many great songs, so little time... Thanks for making "reaction" videos interesting.
A Masterpiece!!! Nuff said
Man, I love your reactions/reviews, they really give me a better appreciation of the music. Normally, this song would be one of my favorites, but watching this made it legitimately my favorite song ever :)
They had a Live stream gig mid December 2020. I Finally got to hear them play this live.
It was AMAZING & I'm lil depressed I didn't get a chance to actually hear that live Dx
And that part where Saiki's almost rapping? *Miku's almost-rapping right along with her AND HARMONIZING* as far as I can tell.
@Charles Velten Their appreciation for Maximum the Hormone would seem to contradict your gatekeeping expectations.

i love your reactions! more BANDMAID!!
Another great reaction! Love your work! You've got to react to " turn me on" maybe one of their best songs ever!
Great video! I appreciate the analysis of the song. Tough trying to find a bad BAND-MAID song ^^
I like your reactions much. You can so much in to detail and breaking down the entire song. Keep em coming.
Thanks for the great reaction. I enjoy watching you break the music down from a professional perspective. I learn so much from your reactions.
Interesting how there’s hardly a single close up shot of any of their faces, makes you concentrate on their endless musical talents 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
Once again you are again the Champ of Extraordinary, (each time you react to BAND MAID 🤟🤟)
Glad I found this reaction to this amazing song :) Not that there arn't quite a few out there, but most of them are not musicians who can point out so many little technical details that let me apreciate their skills as musicians even more.
As a none musician, i can pay attention and hear everything they are playing individually still, but i often wont realise how hard or impressive certain things are to do.
Always happy to see band maid and enjoyed your insights into different sections of the song. I agree with your assessment of the group, no argument at all. As far as another band maid reaction, would say Rinne/Reincarnation (the MV) would be a good option.
For poorer songs, there are a few tracks on the very first album (not written by them) which don't appear on the favourites lists of too many, but you won't find those online either. The main two mentioned will probably be "Start Over" which is disliked for being too light (but as light songs go, isn't actually too bad) and "The Dragon Cries", which was produced by Tony Visconti, but sadly mixed by someone who liked to compress everything to death. They are a band though, that if you like one song, you'll like 50. You almost never have anyone who only likes two or three of their songs.
The live performance of "The Dragon Cries" really shines on the Shibuya blu-ray. The song has room to breathe and the 70's-like lighting effects are spot on.
As for the Conqueror recording, it's almost as if there were so many hands in the mix that compression got stacked on top of compression.
@@DMiyash248 You've been hanging out too much on r/band-maid. :)
@@threemonkeysk I'm sure I read he didn't do the actual mixing that lead to the compression. Virtually the whole album suffers from the same problem.
I love Start Over (the song) for the jazzy/bluesy and even poppy sound, but I will say the video, for me, could be tossed with no tears what so ever. The should redo the vid and just have the 5 of them jamming like in the beginning and all would be right in the world. :)
I really like Dragon Cries. Very "classic rock". Drums remind me of something Bonham might do today. I do have to agree that the producers do like to over-compress a lot of their stuff. That is more a problem with modern music production, not the band.
Great reaction. Love your content: how you edit in humorous clips, take a laid-back appreciative look at music, and bring your formidable musician's/songwriter's knowledge to the table. I always notice new, interesting stuff in these songs after your commentary. (I also love your taste (more BM please!) (still not able to get into K-pop, but I'll give it another shot lol).)
To bad they've taken down the live version of 'Don't you tell me' where Kanami & MISA do an awesome bass/ guitar battle ... It took me about 20 listens before I was able to concentrate on what Akane was doing on the drums during that guitar battle, but once I was able to concentrate on her it was hard to go back to concentrating on the guitars again.
Like I said, they took it down but you can still find lots of other reacters doing reactions to that version of the song and it's well worth checking out even if you can't do a reaction
You are correct, they best band in the world!!
Best band in the world...enough said! Blooming a top 5 BM song IMO
Have you done "Secret my Lips"?
Dear Champ!
Greetings from Shizuoka under the benign care of Mount Fuji!
You mentioned Kanami leaving out some notes during her riff. It might be difficult for us Westerners to undersand, but this is a typical Japanese "traditional way" of picking at string instruments such as displayed in Okinawa traditional samisen/three-stringed "guitar", or shamisen/also three-stringed "guitar" as found all over Japan. If you have the occasion to listen to another Japanese group called Wagakki Band, you will very quickly understand when listening to an authentic shamisen artist soloing in a rock song!
To add to all that, Kanami has almost 20 years of classical music education in her suitcase.
Just a little contribution to try and help you grasp the intricacy of Kanami's work.
Sorry for the pedantic explanation!
Take good care of yourself (ves)!

the 1st time i heard of band-maid was on a random playlist of Baby metal.....since then the only group i listen is Band-maid..They're waaaaaayyyyyy to great ! they should be world-wide....why there's ppl don't know them yet!!
Awesomeness... Love your breakdowns on Band-Maid. Always enhancing the greatness of the song. Freaking ladies are talented
As long as I'm sure you'll keep listening to Band-Maid I'm good. Like I've said, even if its on your own time and you just plug your thoughts in another Band-Maid reaction. Preciate you bro.
Thanks for your information on their techniques and cues. great reaction and very informative. I really look forward to only a few reactors to Band Maid and you sir are one of them. Thank you.
“YOLO” MV rocks. But then again there are so many. I hope I still be alive when you do all Band-maid songs.
If you want something diferent try songs were there is no Saiki and the Lead Vocalist is Miku and Backup vocal is Kanami : Rock in Me' & 'Time'
More Band-Maid please!!!
Kanami is building a home studio. I wonder if in a few years she will take over producing their music, too. I think this is one of those bands where if they lose a single member, the entire thing falls apart.
This is my favorite BAND-MAID song. It's so perfect in every way.
You should react to "Black Pentagram" by Unlucky Morpheus.
That is a great song but I prefer "Unending Sorceress"
He should react to both.
@@HALberdier17 He definitely should react to both.
Misa, the barefoot assassin is Fn AMAZING.
i'd say Kanami kinda pulled back a bit on the latest album. the guitar parts(generally) are more subtle, more adding texture than the full blown riff fest that was World Domination. it was a conscious choice they made around the time Start Over came out, moving forward.. even leaving out guitar solos, or playing the solos under/in-conjunction with vocal parts. in turn, MISA stepped up big time.. as if she wasn't already busy before(that's just my observation).
never heard anyone mention this.. but i'll just play Captain Obvious here and point out that outro riff, where they're going downwards, is like a reverse of the intro, where they're going upwards.. played in the same cadence
Really great reaction - and I've now seen thousands of them over the four years I've known of Band-Maid. Blooming is a progressive hard rock masterpiece, by the best band in the world.
Great! Finally! ♥️♥️😁😁😁
Lol! The moment you gave those comments for their first verse, I was like her dude, don't you remember their always-different-2nd-verse fills? and just wait till they reach the outro. Lol
I’d love to see a BAND-MAIKO reaction when you get the chance!
Please react to a few songs on New Beginning like Price of Pride, Freezer, Arcadia Girl, Beauty and the Beast, Don't let me down, Real Existence, Don't apply the breaks, etc ^-^
Also please listen to some Miku songs (Beauty and the beast is one of them lol)
I love when MIKU and SAIKI sing in harmony, it's like a third singer. MIKKI or SAIKKU, BAND-MAID's sixth member.
6:30 Dude. Dude! Fuckin... dude! I would commit felonies, numerous and far-reaching felonies to hear that.
Man, I wish Turn Me On (live version, Zepp 2018, I think?) wasn't taken down. Just rewatched it from an older reaction; vocals, drums, bass intro/mini battle, guitar solo - EVERYTHING was amazing!!! Still get chills with Saiki's closing scream...
Sai-chan is like the female version of Daisuke from Maximum the Hormone. Kuruppo! 👗🎌✌🐦🍓
Mate imagine Saiki learning some kind of aggressive vocal techniques. That'd be insane, though maybe not "better", just a different side perhaps
She's already throwing vibrato in as punctuation for emphasized syllables. That's not particularly weird. You hear that in most Japanese songs.
Band Maid is one of the best bands out there!!
Blooming is the Tasmanian Devil of BAND-MAID songs. Chaos on a leash.
Fun fact, saiki is a sneakerhead and a loves trains. Kobato is really into horse racing
I personally think this is their most mature and modern song so far. Everything fits so well together and is just flawless.
If this would be where they´re heading for the future (and not so much in the pop-rock direction, sorry), I would be a happy man :-)
Had me rolling on the Saiki mixtape edit... bahahaha. Cheers!
Your analysis gives me a different angle and a very good point of reference. Thanks,
Their intoxicating song writing abilities makes all other bands seem childlike
That's a childlike comment.
