Onew's voice is amazing! In my opinion, the SMs have made the best selection of voices in the SHINEE group, there is no such synchronicity between the voices in another group! I love listening to them!
SHINee even performed in a typhoon once and it was insane they never stop or hesitate they just slay the stage as always and left you in awed

SHINee bring rain wherever they go, especially in Japan..... they even bring it with them when they go solo too, taemin and key both did bring it with them for their solo concerts,dream concerts etc😂... So they r kind of used to doing their stuff in rain, storm(shawols r used to watching under umbrellas too since their initial shows and concerts in Japan were mostly open stadiums).... this was an SM town fancam, these crazies were jumping around and doing the choreo 525% when others were trying to limit their broad movements because the stage was skiddy (I have to put in that it was drizzling and sometimes even less in this concert, but when SHINee came on it was outright heavy rain and heavy winds, ppl described it more as a storm than rain)..... also I have to add that they didn't visibly skid or commit any mistakes when doing this, this tells us how much they r used to performing in such a weather..... u can see taemin skidding around and playing carefree from one end of the stage to other end during dream concerts (as the floor will be wet due to rain) while others r falling down just walking on those stages...
Remember that one in Japan where it's not raining and then suddenly there's a monsoon and they're so damned happy?? XD

Onew first sang the opera in Paris in 2011. He received three months of opera vocal training.
It was the only solo stage among sm singers. It was very fresh and touching. After vocal cord surgery, Onew's voice became deeper and harder. The onew version of Nessundorma is fantastic. Jonghyun is single. There are not many Koreans who wear wedding rings all the time. Don't put a lot of meaning on the finger of the ring. Just an accessory.
'Everybody' is Key's fan cam.Japanese sm fans were impressed by this stage.There was a lot of accident on the stage of 'Everybody'. SHINee has always performed professionally, but it hurts my heart.They're always pros. It's good, but sometimes it's worrying.I hope you are always healthy.
Both jonghyun and onew's voices have a special place in my heart, they have such a powerful and full of emotion vocals!

thank you for reacting to "please don't go" by onew and jonghyun! ❤️it's one of my favorite collabs in all of kpop and it brought tears to my eyes when you mentioned how jjong was your bias! i love all of SHINee and they were my gateway kpop group, plus jjong's had a special place in my heart for the longest time, so to know that he's become your bias really pulled at my heart. i'll always be grateful for how big of a positive impact he's left on us, and to see him still so beloved to numerous people in spite of all that's happened will always make me smile. ^^
To answer your question about Onew and opera training.... to my knowledge he trained specifically for that song but I'm not sure if he did any more opera training outside of that. Maybe somebody knows more about it. If you ever see Onew tap dancing, he learned that skill for a "Singing in the Rain" musical production in Korea (that unfortunately he had to give up because of his vocal chord surgery). Please Don't Go is such a gorgeous song, and they were so young when they first recorded it! I have admittedly shed some tears to this one. I was so happy when they finally did it live for a Shinee World concert. And yeah I gotta agree, every member can partner up with any other. Their completel vocal blend is probably my favourite thing about them. 'Moon River Waltz' shows a very clear example of how lovely their harmonies sound.
I have to say there’s something super special about opera and Nessun Dorma gets me every time. I literally have goosebumps every single time Onew hits this high note at the end. Of course there are super refined renditions of this particular aria, one that comes to mind is Luciano Pavarotti, but to think that our Jinki was never really classically trained as a singer and he’s capable of pulling off such an amazing and emotional performance with such a difficult piece of music truly amazes me and leaves me in owe of the scale of his talent. My beloved grandma used to cry listening to her favorite, classical music and she loved Nessun Dorma, if she was still alive I just know Onew’s performance would make her cry too... I love SHINee, they are such a unique and super talented group. I am always super thankful that you keep loving and praising their performances, talent and music, cause they really deserve all the praises in the world. Thank you Monq 🙏💕

Shinee dances in the rain a lot... one time it literally stormed while they were performing why so serious in hongkong and they were all having a blast.
Onew is my second bias, his vocals are so pure and effortless, he is really talented and deserves more attention as a soloist. His solo album is so beautiful, I hope he'll make a solo comeback after his military service 🥰🌟😇👍

Jonghyun was never married. None of the members of SHINee have ever been married in real life. And the only time Jonghyun was ever revealed to be linked to anyone, he received so much backlash from "fans" (I consider them anti-fans), that he was so scarred by it, that he was overly careful to never be even rumored to be in a relationship ever again. None of the members have ever dated anyone, at least not publicly. You might be thinking of how Taemin and Key were both on the reality variety show called "We Got Married" where they pretended to be married to girls from other idol groups. But those shows only last for a few month and then they "Break up" and they are usually never seen together again. So, Jonghyun's ring is only a ring. If anything, the only marriage Jonghyun ever had was to his career and to Shawols. True Shawol fans meant everything to Jonghyun.
This performance of "Please Don't Go" was from their SHINee World Concert V (SWC5) in 2016. This was the last SHINee group concert Jonghyun was involved in before he died. So that is why it is such a meaningful and poignant song for us. On top of being a very beautiful performance, it's almost as if Onew and Jonghyun are singing to each other, asking each other to "please don't leave," etc. which, in hindsight, breaks our hearts every time we hear them sing those lines.
2016 started out so well for SHINee with concerts such as this one, but it was the beginning of a tough couple of years for them. Soon after this, Onew was involved in a sexual harassment scandal where he was accused of groping a dancer at a night club when he was drunk. The charges were eventually dropped, but the police still investigated. Onew spent several months in seclusion, out of the public eye during the investigation and it wasn't clear whether the Korean public would ever forgive him or allow him to come back. However, he was eventually cleared of all charges after paying a large fine, etc.. And just when it looked as though SHINee would be able to get back to normal activities again, it wasn't long after that that Jonghyun died. Jonhyun died Dec. 18, 2017. Just to put it into context, their next concert tour is their "SHINee World Concert 2018 -- The Best from Now On" which was supposed to be their first comeback as 5 again and to celebrate their 10th anniversary. The first, and I think only, show was held in Japan about 3 months after Jonghyun died, so it's full of emotion.
I think this performance of "Nessun Dorma" was also performed in 2016, but it is not the first time Onew has performed this song, he has been performing it since SHINee's early days. Whether it's a performance from 2011 or this one from 2016, there isn't much difference -- his voice is a little more mature in 2016, but it was still impressive since the beginning. Onew is not trained in opera, but he has been training as a singer since trainee days and he has an amazing range and understanding of his voice. He is also a musical stage actor, so he understands how to project his voice to the back of the theater and he knows how to tell a story through the performance of the song. I am sure he spent a long time studying an original version of the song, and really worked on perfecting the pronunciation of the words. Onew is know for having clear and perfect pronunciation when it comes to languages -- he, and all the SHINee members, seem to have an ear for being able to pick up on the nuances, inflections and phrasing in different languages that make them seem like native speakers. It's that attention to detail that makes them that much more impressive.
It's a running joke that SHINee brings the rain with them wherever they go, and it often rains when they have outdoor concerts, so Shawols have become used to watching concerts with rain coats and umbrellas. SHINee performs in the rain because they feel obligated to give us their best no matter the conditions, after all we fans love them so much we are willing to stand in the middle of that same downpour to see them -- I guarantee that venue was still full to capacity despite the rain. :D And just because you have seen something before, doesn't mean you can't watch it again, every performance is different. I am glad you watched the whole thing, because you may have seen them perform "Everybody" before, but I don't think you have seen them at this specific show. Plus, you have no idea what you might have missed if you hadn't watched the whole thing -- there is a reason why someone recommended you check it out.
They often have summer music festivals were Kpop artists and singers from all agencies, many different groups, and artists from all different generations perform all together. And because these are such large concerts that attract fans of all generations and fandoms they have to hold them at really big places, which are often outdoor stadiums, so when it rains a lot of groups end up having to perform in the rain. There are a lot of footage of Kpop groups performing in the rain. Just search "Kpop concert in the rain, " for example, and you will find a whole list. As an example, here is a short compilation video of some other groups, including, EXO, BTS, Red Velvet, F(x),Twice, etc., performing in the rain at all times of day and night, ua-cam.com/video/95Wm6SSgs8Q/v-deo.html. They petty much plan the same performance regardless of the conditions, you see very few, if any, modifications to their performances if it happens to rain, compared to a performance on a day when the conditions are perfect. Idols will often tell stories about how they have had their mics malfunction because they got too wet during a rainstorm at an outdoor concert. Unless there is lightning, the show will go on no matter the conditions.
In the case of Onew, the woman came as a guest to the dance club with her boyfriend and is not a dancer.
SHINee had an arena tour in Japan in 2017. Concerts in Japan and Korea usually have different setlists.
No offense to the other kpop groups but Shinee's vocals are on a completely different level. I love Onew's tone and Jonghyun knew how to put emotion into songs.
I was at the SWC V concert in Seoul, my mom and I (bc she is a bigger shawol than I am lol) would get the international packages with hotel and other things included and see multiple days of their concerts. Please Don’t Go is one of my faaaavorite songs and to my recollection had never been done live. When it started playing I started bawling lol it was so unexpected they could have ended the concert right then and I wld have been perfectly satisfied

Opera might not be everyone's cup of tea, but there is an almost automatic respect for anyone who can do it. And I think that's a very good analogy for Onew. While he doesn't sing the kind of songs that would be popular (he likes old school ballad and trot) but the fans and the kpop industry respects his singing a lot.
I don’t know if you will watch Taemin’s dream concert 2018 but it started raining too and the stage was hella slippery but you know it’s Taemin he did his thing🤷♀️

I miss this SHINee reaction of yours Monq. I agree, SHINee is my ultimate bias group in kpop. They are still the number 1. Taemin dance in a rain too, you might want to check it. By the way July is Taemin's birth month and also the schedule of his solo comeback.
None of the SHINee members are married, or even have any significant others publicly. The only member to ever have a "confirmed" relationship was Jonghyun, but that was a decade ago and it was very sketchy, so many fans maintain that it was a fake relationship because SM needed to cover up another scandal. But the backlash that he faced was real. Fans even left his name out of the fanchants, it was a hard time for him. So I don't think he ever dated again, because he didn't want to hurt the fans.

Onew didn’t really have any opera training. He simply wanted to try opera on stage and so he did, which makes this performance even more amazing.
As for “Everybody” stage, it wasn’t rain, it was the whole mf typhoon. Not the only time either, you should check their “Lucifer” stage (also in Japan and also during typhoon), it’s mind blowing!

@Harmon McCraw hmm it was surreal to see them live. SHINee is my favorite kpop group since 2011. This is very tragic but for a good portion of the concert I tried to record it, but it was a completely failure. I didn't get the recording except when Key said he told us his Gucci suit burned. I got an overall impression of them. Onew by far was just so happy and all smiles. Taemin was nervous he was blinking quite a bit during the talking part of the concert. Jonghyun was serious. That struck me the most. He seemed mad when the audio failed and the background music cut off for two songs. I think maybe they were having power issues. They had to stop singing and restart again. Although he tried to brush it off he looked disappointed that everything was not perfect. Key was just all chill trying to talk to us and talking to SHINee. I just never knew this would be the only time I would seem as 5. The venue had a small stage in Dallas. Their dancing was great, but them not being able to walk around closer to them fans was ughhh frustrating. Their singing always good. It was like being so star struck that alot was like a blur or a dream. My memory of it is not as vivid as I would wish it to be. Before the start I was with some young people that were there not as fans but simply attendees watching a movie. They commented wanting to see other groups but settled for seeing SHINee since other groups were not touring at the time. That really bothered me. Everyone was so young and I am very old, so it was not comfortable to be with so many teens. I felt too old to be there. To my left I sat next to a mom and daughter who were very nice. I was 33 and the day was march 24, 2017. I do plan to see them when they tour around here again in the future.

he wasn't married tho unfortunately but in 2011 he had a girlfriend a famous actress shin Se Kyung I believe, but that didn't long last because their company and also fans (k fans) force them to break up, that what I heard back then. it's so sad that K-celebrities can't date freely with other celeb or non-celeb people.

Onew is definitely the leader..his vocals are always amazing! And oh how I miss our previous Jonghyun! His vocals and stage presence is one of it not the best and most distinctly unique in all of Kpop❣ He is missed so much! All of SHINee is so talented, I'm so.glad you appreciate them! You're channel and content is always amazing because no matter what group you review your straight up appreciate what each one brings the table.
Anyways going back to their "Everybody"...you have to do a real review of the MV and the dance practice... you haven't seen the full amazingness of the song and its choreography, even though you saw one of the best lives of it. Please to skip out on a review of one of SHINee's most iconic songs...and hey do you do Sherlock look yet? I think you did, but you couldn't find a dance practice.

In Korea idols usually wear rings to all fingers without any meaning behind it(sometimes they wear rosary rings like Taemin). If they have couple rings or anything(clothes, shoes, accessories, matching pics on social media) the fans realize real quick and chaos ensures. Honestly even married celebs don't wear their rings that often on TV.
Like many has said SHINee has never had any dating scandal except for a confirmed relationship of Jonghyun and Shin SeKyung in 2010. But some fans believe it was a fake relationship, I personally don't care. All I know is, it was a hard time for Jjong. It is a dark spot on Shawol history as their behavior was unacceptable and ugly. I'll never understand Korean fans and their problem with dating. I guess it has something to do with their culture and the image of idols being "pure" and being available for fans to fantasize about.

They got through it and you can even hear them laughing ("Can you believe this ish" kind of laughter) at some points. There’s a video somewhere (I forgot which song it was) that shows Onew performing even though he BROKE HIS ANKLE during the previous song. Married? Jongie was married to the music!! But they also had matching rings from Hongbro Rings. (etsy) I read somewhere that Onew had some opera training via SM in the very early days, but I've never seen it verified, so it might just be rumour. Having said that, he did sing Nessun Dorma in...2012? His voice had improved greatly by the second time, maybe due to the training after his vocal cord surgery.
