It's possible a young guy pops up that's an absolute giant and dominates for awhile. But a young guy to show up and dominate the world for 30 years at 225lbs is just never gonna happen again. John is a once in a lifetime human
Alizhan on the left is possible if he can beat Vitaly
For a long time John never exceeded 90kg (under 200) and still beat everyone. Todd Hutchings was the first of his size to get a pin on him during John's dominance.
John Brzenk is like Jimi Hendrix or Bruce Lee. they are rare.
Maybe on the left. But right hand competition is too deep these days for one guy to dominate multiple weight classes.
If Alizhan continues like this for lets say 10+ more years, he will be the closest thing to Brzenk that we have
Majority of John’s career was tournaments. So maybe EvW tournament would be ideal. Anyone in the rankings can sign up to multiple weight classes if they want. Double elimination tournament.
I don't know if Rino Masic is the new Golden Boy but i think he's the most promising young armwrestler in the world

I don’t see another John Brzenk coming. He started at 13 by his father and won his first major tournament at 18. Got a job at Delta so he can get free plane rides to tournaments all around. Plus there were many organizations back then so John was pulling more frequently. Now pullers pull a supermatch every 3-4 months. John was pulling high level tournaments weekly/monthly. In multiple weight classes. For decades. And winning.

Hocam, I believe there are many possible golden boys out there who either live in not good enough conditions- like those who live in the rural or they haven’t tried arm wrestling and doing other sports, instead. Riza Kayaalp is a great example for greco-roman wrestling in the same context

I really hope people understand the consistency and high level John got to. I don’t think we should be so eager to give the goat title to anyone else. Sometimes it’s good to acknowledge that greatness in the past can’t really be duplicated in the current state of armwrestling.
Engin you look good! Even if there is no new golden boy, we have and will have a large number of talented athletes who will compete with each other. Giving fans interesting matches.
Only guy i can recognize John in is Alizan Muratov. But there wont be another John Brzenk ever, Alizan is most dominant puller of his generation and he is danger for every single person in the world LH.
Now I remember one name. Bacho Saginashvili. He has the genetic potential. Physically very similar to John . I hope he will do great things both left and right handed.

My guess is that more talented people have already started getting into the sport because of the boom that started a few years ago. It's just doing to take a while for that talent to reach prime form.

He beat super heavyweights like nothing and didn't lose a round since 2017 against Zurab.
And he only lost against Zurab cuz he was tired.
If he keeps the same level for couple of years he will be the left hand GOAT.
I think his left hand is stronger than most of the athletes even right hands.
Morozov said he can't beat him while Morozov left is very close to his right so Alizhan's left is maybe better than Morozov's right.
And Morozov's right hand is top 10 and maybe top 5.

Remember paink, John was basically unbeatable in his weight class for 20+ years...I do believe he defeated all of the greats. As good as Alizhan is right now...he has a marathon career to accomplish what the GOAT has done.
If he beats Petrenko, Vitali, Morozov, Matyushenko, Jablonski, Levan and then stays on top for the next 20 years he will be equal to John's level of dominance but only on the less competitive left arm...
