Have disassembled, cleaned and am currently drying off the parts of our 'Big Ball Animal Pro' CY22 cleaner (with the HUGE help of this video - many thanks)! FYI, it does NOT have a 'pre-motor' (blue and white cone-shape) filter. Just in case someone else has the same model.
Thanks for making this video. I am stuck in last step of dissembling the dyskinesia . In your video the parts at 50 sec. It appear there is a spring or something keep preventing me from removing the last part. Can you help
You don't need to remove the spring mechanism and it can be washed as well. It won't rust. Most of the parts are held down by torx screws all around the circumference of each module, unscrewing all these screws should allow you to disassemble the unit.
I removed the torx holding down the metal filter assembly, that fist half won't budge, is it suppose to be really tight? Great video BTW, give me more confidence in washing the darn thing, warning all over the manual to DON'T DO IT, so i was scared before
Late for a reply, but on mine it was slightly different method and the bit you are looking at was glued together as far as I can tell. For mine, it was remove the 2 screws holding on the plastic rod along the flat area. From there, you can pull the gasket off on the bottom bit (the gasket on mine wasn't just sitting in a channel not actually squished together). This will expose the longer screws that you can undo to open it up.
What is the size of the torque required to access vortex jets? I’ve bought special one years ago for my firs Dyson but it’s to big for this new one. Thank you Dyson engineeres/designers😬
Yes, the top handle piece can be removed if required but it can be cleaned without having to remove that section if you have a strong stream of water to flush it out.
I just received a replacement canister for my Dyson (same model as above) but I cannot figure out how to remove the lid, which the filter housing is kept etc. You did it so fast that I missed it. Can you help me out?
There's no filters in the canister. All the hep filters are in the 'ball' instead the rolling part. The canister is basically tightened with screws around the circumference. Use a torx screwdriver to remove the screws.
What do you suggest for filters in the ball? Dyson says you don't need to replace the filters, however as far as I've seen, dust find its way down there. Do you replace your filters regularly as well?
There are two filters. One is in the cannister and the 2nd one is beside the motor in the wheel. Remove the wheel cover and unclip the large filter. Both can be washed with clean water. Make sure you dry them (in the sun) thoroughly before re-installing.
Dude... I'm not sure how to rate this video. I think your intentions in helping a community with an instructional video are great. You skipped so many steps and you've got to slow it down and also show reverse. People are gonna have their VAC half taken apart or half reassembled watching this video.
Hey thanks for watching. If you have read the description I wrote, I mentioned that this was not an instructional video. It's a clip on what I did to clean and maintain my vacuum instead. Apologies to viewers if I got the message wrong.
This video is so fast moving, I couldn't find how to solve my problem. I understand the conception how to disassemble the Dyson, screw out all parts, but the devil is in details, ...I don't see them.
Hi Vera! You can adjust the speed of the video by going to bottom right corner of the video and clicking on the gear looking symbol ( The Settings Symbol) and then clicking on 'Playback Speed'. I think 0.25 is the slowest speed.
Okay you are amazing ... but I could never put this much effort into a TOTAL piece of Junk that this expensive engineering cluster nightmare becomes and I regret ever buying...
What rubbish video is that with a lot of steps shown in fat forward. You are just boasting your such a great handyman. Your not caring wether other can comprehend the steps
Wow, what a mean comment. If you had just read the description, you would have read that I clearly stated "This is NOT a 'How to..' video but a short clip of how I did my maintenance." Anyway, thanks for time watching and hav a nice day yourself.
I love people that take care of their stuff!!! I tried cleaning my Dyson without full disassembly, but I will try it now. Thanks!!!
Thanks to your video, I managed to open my Dyson and clean it thoroughly. 👍 I can'twait for the results.
I am for sure going to have to try this! Our Dyson stopped picking up stuff and it has to be because it is clogged up. Thank you for this

How do i put the bottom back on has when i was emptying it came of
This is a great instructional video!!
How do you take the dust bin off and put it back on mine won’t slide back up
I'd never want to do this coz I don't know where everything will fit then I'll have a mental breakdown. There's got to be an easier way 😬
Fue de mucha ayuda, pues jamás había limpiado así este tipo de aspiradora
Muchísimas gracias
How many screws did it take you to remove the cyclines from the silver core section?
You skipped that part of the video
Got a video on disassembling and cleaning out the multi floor turbine head?
I just took bottom parts wash with Garden hoose. Leave couple days to dry let’s see what happened. No way I can do this

I have this vacuum and the hose is not suctioning and the base of the vacuum is not spinning?
on the sides of the head with the roller there is a filter… you can rub the dust off of the filter and the roller should spin again

T8 torx for first 8 screws T15 for second set of 8 screws 👍
G-wiz 121 thanks
thanks@@g-wiz1212
Does the top piece come off from the last ring of cyclones for cleaning? Your video shows the handle portion staying on.
Yes, the top handle piece can be removed if required but it can be cleaned without having to remove that section if you have a strong stream of water to flush it out.
Potentially a great video, wish it were more useful. Even if slower with some words about how you get it back together
the little cog in the bottom right of the yt screen, it has playback speed, you can slow it down or speed it up. It was a great video.
Is there a particular order for the white rubber suction things? I noticed that it is labeled but I couldn’t figure out what the numbers mean
There are no numbers on my particular model and all the rubber nozzles are of identical shape and size.
I just received a replacement canister for my Dyson (same model as above) but I cannot figure out how to remove the lid, which the filter housing is kept etc. You did it so fast that I missed it. Can you help me out?

Nice work 👍
I did the same thing to my dad's watch when I was a kid. You know how that turned out. lol
You ever replace the hep filter in the base? My animal pro feels like its losing suction
What do you suggest for filters in the ball? Dyson says you don't need to replace the filters, however as far as I've seen, dust find its way down there. Do you replace your filters regularly as well?
Most of their filters can be washed. Pls check your model manual.
@@JamesTann there is nothing about the filters in the manual

Brilliant
is it okay to get the rubber vortex jets wet? did you clean them with water??
Yes
Its a cinetic 0 maintainance i do nothing to it runs great
Thanks! A little fast though with filming! 😂 Still good though to watch 😂
I think you are going to sell this. Time to buy a Sebo!!
I can uninstalled but I have issue putting it back lah...
Sorry, I didn't get around to reading your comment till now as there was no notification I had a comment. I hope you have your vbacuum back in order?
It would be better if you lubricate the shaft bushings of the rotating brush head.
Yes, actually I had, Sprayed some WD40 and also in the gear mechanism of the briush head. Not shown in the video of course.
Ca a fonctionné, merci
How did you remove. The clear Plastic canister you didn’t show that part ?
Look for the red colour plastic parts. Red parts are usually the locks or catches.
@@JamesTann ok I got it thx 🙏
yup, Im about to add a 1000 views to your video, I'm about to break my vacuum cleaner.
No way i could possibly do this

@@JamesTann I think id if you do a video showing slowly taking things off and putting back together, it will help lots of people. Thanks

Hi
Save the time and get a bagged vacuum. No messy emptying, and cleaning.
trypophobia 🤣 only if it's some weird teeth on the roof of a fishes mouth
Tooo fast
Oh my God man. Buy a bagged vacuum. This is NOT for me!
