Hi Soph, lovely flosstube and thank you for your kind words about my Spring Quaker finish. I would heartily recommend it; I enjoyed every stitch, and it was an easy design to pick my own colours for the quakers and bunnies to make it feel personal. Seeing your colours for Pilgrim makes me REALLY want to get back to my Long Dog (Opening Gambit) but I am being very strict and am focusing on finishing the MFESAL2023 before the end of the year. I went and put 2023 on it so I've stitched myself into a corner!! As to your Be Kind piece, I would put it away for a bit longer if you're still undecided. If you don't have any pressing ideas for the fabric it can stay in a corner until you're really sure what you want to do. The nearest I've had to a UFO is an Anchor kit for some Christmas decorations - I am part way through the first and hate it as it's lots of quarter stitches and back stitches on stiff, unpleasant aida. It's been in a drawer for nearly two years and I still intend to try it again......... one day!!! Happy stitching, Kim ❤
Hey Kim, I am hinting heavily for my partner to buy me the Spring Quaker for my birthday in Jan so it can be a birthday start. Fingers crossed it works haha! I just checked out Opening Gambit and my god it's beautiful! If its calling to you stitch it, I say :) Haha! I have every faith you will finish MFESAL2023 on time! Happy Stitching to you too :)
Great floss tube. Thanks for the needle and fabric recommendation. It's great to watch fellow Brits who talk about shops that I have a chance to purchase from 😀. It's so frustrating when you see something great then they say Hobbylobby, Micheals or Dollartree 😂. I love to see the wide variety of different patterns you have chosen to stitch. inspiring. 🪡🧵
Oh tell me about it... I think we should sign a petition to get all the amazing American stitch shops over here. Even if I had to travel to London I would...
Hey, I just found your flosstube and enjoyed watching. 😊 The Pilgrim was my first Long dog sampler, I now have 3 and a 4th to start next Leap day. Love your HAED too, It's a good break from the solid colour stitching. 😊
It sounds like you enjoyed stitching the Pilgrim if you are on your 4th now?! Yes, definitely a nice change from all the block colour pieces I seem to have fallen into... ha. x
Hi Sewph, CCW is Classic Colourworks. Love the colour combination for your Long Dog and look forward to seeing your project come to life. Take care, Emily x
I love the Long Dog Samplers. I completed Pandemic in one year and I'm currently working on The Templar Prophecy. I started it in January and I think I'll be done in the beginning of February. I have The Pilgrim to start next. I'll be excited to watch your progress on it.
Love the fabric and floss color you have chosen for an upcoming Long Dog project. It will be lovely! I appreciate your giving some of the online sources--Night Spirit, Quaternion Creations, etc. Will have to go check them out. :-)
I have a few UFOs in time out in a drawer that I honestly probably won’t ever get back to. I know it’s tough not to feel guilty, especially with the time it takes to stitch but I’m definitely on the team of stitch only what you love!! ❤
Lovely update. ccw, as far as im aware, is classic colourworks. I've recently started rewatching buffy, lol just finished series 1. Hope you enjoy iron flame!! X
Thank you. CCW makes total sense now! Buffy is soo good isn’t it? In half way through Iron Flame, I’m enjoying it but it’s not gripping me like fourth wing. Might just be me though… what did you think? X
@sophsewph i enjoyed it, but yes, i know what you mean. It has that lull in the middle book 1 didnt have. Lol lota to glean from that though, RY lays little nuggets all the way through lol x
Mark Up works best with digital downloads, as I struggle to upload scans or photos. When you mark off each stitch on the pattern it will show on the Progress Tab and tell you what your progress is. It's a really great tool!

Thank you Emily! I feel like such an idiot now 😂 classic colour works makes total sense!
Can’t wait to start the long dog too! 🤩
Happy stitching 🪡
Loved it! Have bought that pack of needles.
@@diananicholls9155 you won’t regret it!
Great flosstube, I've just started rewatching Buffy too :)
Yes! It’s soo good isn’t it and a blast from the past!
I recently rewatched both Buffy and Angel. Soooo good!!!!
OMG yes! I loved Angel just as much as Buffy. He was my childhood crush... Haha.
@@sophsewph same!!!! He is so dreamy! And I loved all the backstories!!!

Wow! That’s commitment. I hope I don’t regret having two big WIPs on the go but a Pilgrim is so lovely I think it will be worth it!

You won't regret checking those out, maybe your bank balance will though... haha.
Thank you, I am super excited to start it.

I like the idea of a time out space. I do something similar with my clothes, if I haven't worn them for a year I donate to charity. Good idea !
@@sophsewph that’s such a great idea for clothes!

You mentioned Mark-Up. How do you figure out the % you’ve stitched? Do you have to put in a pdf for the % to work? Thank you!

Have you seen the power TV series? Nat
Not yet, I’m always skeptical when books are made into tv series / books. Is it any good? X
@@sophsewph I’ve not read the book so I don’t know how it compares, but I liked the TV show
I throw out partially stitched things all the time. Life is too short! Only work on what you love.
This is so true! Too many things to stitch too!
Maybe start using the other colors. You might change your mind. 😊
