What and incredibly fun grind! I still want a camo grind as difficult as MW but this year was "easy" (fuck you launchers) and overall a great time. Best of luck on your own grinds, enjoy! Also I appreciate all the kind words and support on the BO6 grind, Nebula is up next... DARK MATTER UPDATES: HE-1: rocket path has been 'nerfed' so hitting streaks at range is even harder, also the line up for counter and uavs has changes and you need to lead your shots even more now. I recommend trying to destroy attack choppers, arch angels, rcxd and other ground streaks
Pro tip from when i grinded DM in BO3, run care package and throw it at your enemies spawn, uav’s and rcxd’s are common drops so it forces your enemies to call them in to destroy them. Run bank roll and strategist with perk greed to spam care packages
The only thing I dislike about this grind is after 2900 headshots, 3 mastery challenges and 66 special challenges you still have to do another challenge on every gun for dark matter on that gun
One key tip I learned back while doing the “Damascus” MW2019 camo grind was to always carry a launcher as a secondary and try to prioritize its challenges early on in the games lifecycle. This way you gradually complete them and you don’t have to contend with other players for targets, that saves the launchers for last. Another pro tip is to grind out your least favorite weapon class first so that you end the challenge with your favorite weapon classes, making it more bareable. Lastly just have fun and go at your own pace it is not a race. Just actively try to always be working on something not just shooting ppl just to shoot ppl.

I 110% encourage to use your least favorite/worst/most tedious weapon class first. you’ll be thanking yourself when the last weapons you have to do are ARs/SMGs and not snipers/pistols/launchers/melee. Also keep in mind that once again the challenge is 33 TOTAL weapons not just the base weapons so if you’re really struggling with something like a launcher or melee you can opt to wait for new weapons to get released
I love this camo grind because it’s self explanatory, simple, doesn’t rely on others and doesn’t impede on your playstyle. That’s why I hate the launchers.
I think the grind is pretty straight forward. The difficulty of the grind is related to what lobbies are you gonna play in. Nuketown 24/7 on Core and HC are terrible at least for me. Got spawntrapped 4 games in a row.

@@Mytwins825 the uav is same as counter just lead it a tiny bit more, basically line it up so its at the edge of your scope, lead a bit further and fire as soon as the uav is completely OUTSIDE of your scope, I was able to consistently shoot down everything once it clicked
Big tipp for kills after swapping weapons: shoot once with your primary weapon and then swap. afterwards you have a bigger time window as it will give you the hot swap medal which counts for the challenge. ofcourse you do not have like a minute or so to run around but i found it more consistant to count and easier to complete :)
You get the hot swap medal for just switching to your secondary and getting a kill shortly after? I thought I had done that a few times and gotten the medal
I told my friend who is also grinding camos and he was to enthusiastic about doing launchers even though I told him it’s only 50 kills to start doing the hard part😭
Been playing since BO1 and have never genuinely attempted a camo grind I was just one of the guys enjoying the game not caring about it. Finally decided to do and finished today, and as sad as it sounds Im proud of myself for being able to do it so quickly despite never doing it before. Camo looks fantastic never taking it off😂😂
For me I did the camos on the weapons that are unlocked at the highest player level first because it does take a while to level up around the level 50 area which is long enough for me to get gold on that weapon, and save the guns you unlock immediately last so that way whenever you do prestige you can work on those guns. I ended up using a permanent unlock token on the As Val or any other gun that required you be high level
@@maxdowning649 or Gala with recon and FMJ. Just spray at enemies through the wall with the biggest mag and you will get plenty and probably best play too.
I don’t know if it’s glitched, but I finished the XMG yesterday. I was randomly shooting out a UAV and Counter UAV. I completed the not releasing the trigger challenge doing that. When I shot them out, the challenge was completed. Have no idea why that worked. I’ll take it! 😂
Another tip for double and triple kills. If you have the points showing when you get a kill that will be your timer in order to get another kill for it to count

if someone doesn’t want to do the 2 launcher you can wait until the season starts. in the battle pass are 2 new weapons and you can do them instead of the launchers. you only need 33 weapons and when the new weapons are in the game there are 35

As someone who got both Orion and Interstellar the best advice I can give you is take your time, you have a whole year with this game. What I did that really helped me the last two years was waiting for the seasonal updates to drop where we get new guns and stuff. Say next week when season 1 for bo6 drops if you get 2 new guns from the battle pass you can then skip two guns you want to like the launchers. I remember for mw2/mw3 I skipped launchers and snipers both years and just grinded out the new seasonal guns to count for my progression.
Definitely would rather have the Mastery camo for zombies than the one on multiplayer. But no matter which one you go for and or both, the grind is outrageous 😭
What made it easier for me was grinding the nebula camo first and all the calling cards for zombies. Once I was finished with zombies all my guns were maxed and it made multiplayer way easier having each gun maxed out 😅 especially with the chf barrel because I think it makes a huge difference in your headshot accuracy and you don’t usually unlock it until each gun is above level 30
The only two mastery camos I’ve ever gotten were BO3 Dark matter and MW 2019 Damascus. Recently starting playing BO6 and seeing how relatively easy the camo grind is sorta disappoints me. Although I don’t have as much time to play as I did when I was in high school it still would have been nice to see it be more of a grind. It really would distinguish the players who are committed to achieving the mastery camo and going through the rather lengthy grind. Thanks for the helpful guide, keep up the great content
In MWIII we had "Shipment" as the go-to map to quickly grind out some or even most of the challenges, especially for the more short-ranged weapons. I would say that BO6's equivalent to that map is/was/ "Stakeout". It is/was a smaller map that you can get into contact with the enemy far more frequently and you could get your kills in. When they took that map away (and the other one I like that I can't remember the name of) they made the camo grind far more tedious on the bigger maps.

Yeah I feel like combat scout is really ruining hardcore and I just need to be a fast as possible which means mainly hitting centre of mass rather than heads or you'll go mega negative

For the 3 scorestreaks destroyed in a game they do stack with games meaning if you only get 2 and you don't quit the game and the next game you get 1 that counts as three. That was how I was able to get gold for my He-1 because I never destroyed 3 in a single game only 1 or 2
4:22 , another good solution for this is just tactical sprint assist or auto tac sprint, which you should have on anywah in bo6 since every pro player is using it

What is nice for the launcher score streak challenges is that when shooting down UAVs and CUAVs, it counts as 2. I’m pretty certain it still works that way, I got diamond launchers the other day and it helped me get through the HE-1 😂I now just dread when I’m at dark spine
Tip, hop in with your friends on nuketown and just killfeed to the enemies. Then they get lots of streaks, and when you’re done you’ll have easy lobbies because you had such a bad kd the last games
Finally unluckocked Dark Matter and It’s amazing!!!! Launchers were pain, But all good only need like 5 weapons for Dark matter to get it ready! Looking foward to Warzone!
24/7 stakeout came out yesterday, my tip for the bat is to run smokes and alt fire for the heavy attack. I was able to get it gold in only a few hours. Good luck gamers
You can also speed up launcher progress by throwing care packages to the enemy team. You’ll get cooked by your team for trolling but you’ll get camo progress really quick.
There’s no need to run smokes, hardcore stakeout is becoming unplayable with everyone throwing smokes to get kills with the bat. Just try to get behind the enemy on hardcore stakeout with the bat and normal stakeout for the knife.
I’m SOOOOO glad I got launcher done first. The rest is smooth sailing. The one I’m struggling on is the bat. Even if it’s a second difference from switching it just doesn’t count it’s frustrating
There has to be some sort of curse with bloodthirsty medals or the 3 kill without dying. Every single time I’m 1 off I die to a crossmap nade or a tomahawk or I get knifed or any other stupid shit you can die to in these games and it’s consistent
I remember the camo for vanguard was 5 kills without dieing 20 times. By the time you get to the max lvl you have it even for an average or bit better than average player like me.
Might be a bug but I noticed that watchdog helos counted as 2 scorestreak instead of 1 takedown for launchers. So i would take out 1 helo and a uav and knock out gold ez. Super helpful for the camo grind.
Basically in order to do these camos on every cod game you need to play pc or buy a pc and quit your job and never go outside until it’s done otherwise you will get the camo grind done as soon as the next game comes out
Good thing about the dark matter is you dont have to do for every gun so your camp grind ends after dark spine then choose your fav gun, definitely not doing launchers f that

I got the rocket launchers to gold in 2-3 games each on hardcore faceoff. Then literally the rest of the night the opponents didn’t activate 3 score streaks in a game. I even started throwing them care packages or purposefully letting them kill me.

I like face off so much more. Nuketown is mostly people camping in the house or laying down behind fences in my experience

yeah i just noticed that spamming “Y” on Xbox doesn’t work, it has to be like a certain amount of milliseconds after you switch weapons, it’s strange.

as soon as i prestiged i send and played a round of zombies got to level 20 immediately its great for low level xp

The bloodthirsty challenges are impossible because of SBMM. It’s trade a kill every life and then respawn. Every match feels like a ranked match

What is nice for the launcher score streak challenges is that when shooting down UAVs and CUAVs, it counts as 2. I’m pretty certain it still works that way, I got diamond launchers the other day and it helped me get through the HE-1 😂I now just dread when I’m at dark spine
Tip, hop in with your friends on nuketown and just killfeed to the enemies. Then they get lots of streaks, and when you’re done you’ll have easy lobbies because you had such a bad kd the last games

The launcher scorestreak challenge probably best in objective based modes as it is more likely for people to get scorestreaks due to objective score

I done messed up. I did SMGs, ARs shotguns snipes and LMGs first now I have melee weapons, launchers and pistols gonna be crying after that
24/7 stakeout came out yesterday, my tip for the bat is to run smokes and alt fire for the heavy attack. I was able to get it gold in only a few hours. Good luck gamers
You can also speed up launcher progress by throwing care packages to the enemy team. You’ll get cooked by your team for trolling but you’ll get camo progress really quick.
There’s no need to run smokes, hardcore stakeout is becoming unplayable with everyone throwing smokes to get kills with the bat. Just try to get behind the enemy on hardcore stakeout with the bat and normal stakeout for the knife.
I’m SOOOOO glad I got launcher done first. The rest is smooth sailing. The one I’m struggling on is the bat. Even if it’s a second difference from switching it just doesn’t count it’s frustrating
The diamond challenge is even worse
So far I’ve got diamond AR’s, SMG’s and Shotguns. AEG shotgun was PAINFUL. Snipers is my big concern for the rest of the grind
Snipers were HELL for me but thank god they are done. just remember that its a marathon not a sprint and you will be alright.
There has to be some sort of curse with bloodthirsty medals or the 3 kill without dying. Every single time I’m 1 off I die to a crossmap nade or a tomahawk or I get knifed or any other stupid shit you can die to in these games and it’s consistent

I remember the camo for vanguard was 5 kills without dieing 20 times. By the time you get to the max lvl you have it even for an average or bit better than average player like me.
Dark matter grinding has taught me to start from the middle gun otherwise like you said you are SOL when you reset
Might be a bug but I noticed that watchdog helos counted as 2 scorestreak instead of 1 takedown for launchers. So i would take out 1 helo and a uav and knock out gold ez. Super helpful for the camo grind.
Basically in order to do these camos on every cod game you need to play pc or buy a pc and quit your job and never go outside until it’s done otherwise you will get the camo grind done as soon as the next game comes out

Use small maps for he-1 kill streak destructions like subsonic, nuketown, Babylon, and payback
Good thing about the dark matter is you dont have to do for every gun so your camp grind ends after dark spine then choose your fav gun, definitely not doing launchers f that

Im done with the grind it was painfull but 100% worth it at the start of the game
9:47 one day I decided to try and finish the direct kills for the launcher and somehow ended up with 5 different headshots from it lol I didnt know that was possible lol

one thing about taking no damage camos is if you use a stim it still progresses you im pretty sure at least thats what ive noticed i could be wrong
For the HE-1, I destroyed a chopper, 2 counters, and 1 uav and it didn’t even count for getting 3 destructions in a single game

I got the rocket launchers to gold in 2-3 games each on hardcore faceoff. Then literally the rest of the night the opponents didn’t activate 3 score streaks in a game. I even started throwing them care packages or purposefully letting them kill me.

I found that hardcore FFA helped me the most to get headshots because face off is too small and chaotic
