My dad used to fit carpets and he’d buy that days newspaper and put it down under the carpet.

Thank you for not redecorating straight away!! I think it’s so refreshing to see actual moving rather than redecorating. Moving and buying a house is so expensive most people can’t afford to redo it. Plus you need to live in a house to know what you want to do with it!

I was going to say the same thing! Me and my husband bought our house nearly 8 years ago and we are still doing it up as we have to save up. You see so many bloggers moving straight into fully renovated houses and it's just so unrelatable.

I’m also a Virgo and was unpacked within 24 hours. I was unpacking until 4am on the first night. If something needs to be done we get it done :)

Your grandparents are so sweet. My Das used to start my car on cold mornings, clean the ice off the windscreen, and leave lavender on my dashboard. He has passed now, but it’s such a sweet memory ❤️

Congratulation! I was laughing my ass off with the squirrel content. The other day I heard a shutter clicking away in the kitchen and it was my boyfriend up on the counter contorting through a window to get some good squirrel shots. 😂 (I'm originally from California so I find it hard to get off the sofa for anything less than a bear, lol). I use to rent a place that had a friendly squirrel. It would knock on the window to ask for peanuts. I learnt fairly quickly not to feed them near your home, as I came home from work one day and it had got in through a window that was only just open. If you want them around, but not inside, feed them at the bottom of your garden.

Hi Anna, I have a suggestion for the office. Try moving the apothecary chest over to the wall where you have the round mirror. And maybe the mirror can be placed above it (may be too tall). But this will allow your lovely fireplace to stand alone and shine without competition.

You need to use a butterfly screw into the anchor look them up. they expand on the back as you screw in which creates a more stable situation in walls made from plaster.
