There isn't enough people working on the ez36 to see where it could go, especially in the GC chasis. Finally someone does the perfect swap to get an amazing foundation, just to go backwards and do a boring basic 4cyl swap 🙃
Great question, yes emission and EPA are a reason we are doing this. We only wire 6 cylinder application on stand alone ECU's and with the new crackdown we can no longer utilize stand alone ECUs. This project is seeing if we can wire the new engine on a stock ECU and hopefully get through B.A.R.
I've done it that way in the past and it really ends up being more work since our engine/trans was already split up. Plus we're doing this is pieces so it just easier to break it into smaller ones .
You guys are so amazing I feel so inspired by your builds and the knowledge you guys provide to the subaru community
You needed Sawzall Frank on those pins. 😂
DOPE CLASSIC DUCKS SHIRT. real OG
LOL, Whitney's been a season ticket holder since 93! A true OG haha

I'm not really a Subaru guy but this build is interesting regardless. Can wait to see it running.🤙👍

aww man I liked the H6. I would like to do this on my 98RS.
Oooo so pumped!
Does the current state of emissions and the EPA have anything to do with the swap? Good luck. Excited to see where it goes

Why not drop the powerhead out the bottom? Engine, transmission and X-member....

Coincidentally, i was going to email you and ask about an 08+ swap. Glad I waited to see this. Also, have u found a buyer for the H6? 😏
Yup, already sold the EZ36 and looking forward to helping with your future swap :)
@@iwiresubaruwiringsolutions5538 wish I would've known about this sooner! I need a 3.6 swapped into my outback
carb came knocking thays why its coming out
That was definitely part of it! Though we wanted the turbo engine again. H6 was too slow! LOL
EZ30 would be cool don’t seem to see them from people in the US
Wanna sell me the wiring harness if it's to a haltech? haha
