6:56 The term "price tag settler" refers to those militants among the Israeli settlers who engage in vandalism or violence against Palestinian communities, the Israeli Army, and Israeli leftists critical of settlements, as their way of making them "pay the price" for real or imagined attacks against settlers and the settlements.

@@Linda43 This kid who got stabbed in the arm in all likelihood did nothing wrong; he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, and was of the wrong identity group. The settler militants may be young (it's hard to say for sure, since it doesn't seem like the authorities can even come up with a consistent estimate of how many there are), but that doesn't make them any less terrifying. And while I'm sure the settler militants see Palestinians as their primary enemies, they have also lashed out at Israeli security forces and Jewish peace activists - anyone whom they see as opposing them.

I can also give my own experience. I was born in Nablus, West Bank, I was three years old when the intifada began, but I left Palestine when I turned eleven when my family immigrated to Europe for a better future.
During the short time I've lived there, the most negative experiences I had were the frequent, random tear gas attacks. One time I particularly remember how unpleasant it was, I was walking from school with my 2 sisters and an IDF car passed by and threw a tear gas bomb near us (it was just a random day, very few people on the street minding their own bussiness) and the bomb hit a teen boy right in the head, he was like 20 meters away from us at most. He seemed in so much distress, fell to the ground and was violently trying to clear his head and coughing. We were rushed into a store close by and they closed the door. I could barely breath and the tears were burning my cheeks, I couldn't picture how bad it was for that kid, and for what?
Another frequent negative thing were the curfews. Random curfews were set in place and we could not leave the house even to buy food. We would stay home from school for days and delay everything just because our illegal occupiers felt like it.
Another negative experience I had was when the soldiers would randomly search our homes. They would gather the young boys and men in a place, guarding them with weapons, and the children, women and elderly in another, but all outside the home, and search the house. Sometimes if they would find any weapons or something they did not like, they would detain men and young boys. Although none of my family members were detained, I have some friends from childhood who were detained after I left the country, some of them held in solitary confinement for long periods of time.
Finally one experience I remember is when one time they stormed the city unannounced (which sometimes happened) and a tank appeared near my school. I was in class and could see everything through the window. There were young boys throwing stones, so obviously they started shooting and throwing gas bombs, the whole school full of children panicked, there was crying and yelling everywhere, we had to be sent home in ambulances and random cars for safety and because we were so many and not all of our parents could come pick us up. It was horrible.
Anyway, I would like to conclude by saying that I somewhat empathize with a lot of soldiers. They are 18 years old most of the time, so practically kids, brainwashed into terrorizing some random people in an occupied territory. And refusal to comply can land you in prison. I do not condemn the soldiers, but the Israeli government, and the western states for not interfering and cutting army funds. Israel should be allowed to have its own state, but continuous expansion of illegal settlements in the West Bank and this inhumane treatment of the people whose land is stolen is unacceptable.
But this was all in the middle of an intafada. By what you said I'm guessing it's the second. And it amazes me that you can't question a lot of things. Like what if you remember some stuff wrong or maybe they detained them because they had illegal weapons. And not compiling with the police would send you to jail in every western country. Stop acting like Israel needs to be punished for acting like every other fucking state would.
@@BigBubba6969 Yes isra*li terrorist group should be punished for their crimes against Palestinian people

At 2:46, Corey put in the subtitles that the interviewee said "it's about the balance" and then the interpreter and Corey repeated after him "The balance?", but he was most likely saying "the barriers" , and he repeated it again. @Someone actually corey asked "how often do you get respectful behaviour from israeli soldier" but she asked "how far do you interact with soldier to whom you can smile ?" Thatswhy the man answered based on her "unclear question"
Well, I used to be a soldier in those places, as soldiers, we are taught always to be respectful towards the locals , of course there are soldiers who are filled with hate towards them, and then will not be so nice when dealing with them as well, but even that is not to the point of just randomly shooting someone (The soldier will be sent to jail).
Tear gas is being used against violent , stone throwing gatherings of Arabic youths(Sadly it happens everyday), meant to spread them out and stop them from proceeding.
If tear gas doesn't stop them from proceeding towards Jewish areas (Roads and such, which is their objective of throwing the stones at), then the soldiers will use rubber shots (Not live fire) , which are pretty good at suppressing these gatherings without actually taking lives.
Live fire is only used when there is immediate life threat of civilians/soldiers, and only then it is used.
As for the checkpoints, they are meant to stop any suspicious approaching vehicles, along with the information we are receiving, The suspicious / looked after vehicles, will be stopped by the soldiers and checked out, these mostly end up in a "Hello" and "Goodbye" between the locals and the soldiers after 2 minutes, and if there is a reason for suspecting the vehicle/driver/passengers, they will be held up for up to few hours , until they are taken forward to further investigation or set free by the time the soldiers deem them innocent.
For the people saying Israeli soldiers broke into their homes, It is true, arrests are taking place in these regions , but be sure that Israeli soldiers are not breaking into random people's houses in the middle of the night just because they feel like it.
These arrests are meant to take terrorists/people who had done something like throwing molotovs/ opened fire(etc), and they end up being investigated and each person gets dealt with according to the law.
From my experience as a soldier, I never had to open fire towards anyone, and gladly so.
As you can see, this situation is very complicated, and it will only get worse as the education systems (Way more prominent in the palestinian authorities) are in favor of hate towards each other, filled with propaganda, and it's just sad to see it happening.

5:50 they felt really insecure for a bit, probably due to a passenger. Hard life under a variety of pressure.
@Erez Cohen Why would they lie, its not like it doesn't happen every day to Palestinians. Such injustice and hate towards the Palestinian people.
@Erez Cohen Oh youve gotta be kidding me. Wake up my friend, stop following the Israeli media and look at whats happening.
I can link countless reports and cases of Palestinians being oppressed and violated by Israeli officers and hateful people.
But don't deny whats clearly happening in the world and something which a person with eyes can see.
@Erez Cohen The Israeli government and media doesnt give two craps about the welfare of Palestinians.
To deny the violation and oppression of the Palestinian people is like denying the holocaust ever happened.
@Erez Cohen How so? What am i saying that they are also saying?
@Erez Cohen Ok, try being a bit more specific so i can comment on it.
the interviewer is starting to get on my nerve. i understand he's most likely jewish (hence biased), but he seems to get pretty agitated by some of these answers, like he's not even trying to hide it. dude, if these subjects trigger you, maybe you should make videos about something else.
Lol..he is highly biased, and it shows when they say something critical about his people..
@@escanor3699 you don’t have to be Muslim to detect bias...lol
As soon as someone says something negative about israelis you interrupt them and ask another question. The Interviewer is the most unauthentic interviewer ever trying to manipulate certain answers. Definetely trying to make Palestinians look bad.
2 years for throwing molotov on cop or military cars? He's lucky it wasn't more. And it's not only about Israel. There are places in the world where you wouldn't even come to prison alive after this.
@Starhopper they seem rather happy discussing their traumatic experiences with IDF.
@Starhopper Actually, is the Israeli's who believe that both the Sun and the Earth revolve around them. Remember, they believe that they are 'the Chosen Ones.' They told themselves that many centuries ago.

everyone here who is criticizing the interviewer, go watch his other videos. He always tries push people so and take the other side against them, I see a lot of people throwing shade on him when he does this to Palestinians but only praise when he does this to Israelis.
Also, Free Palestine
Yes, but he is more rude and aggressive towards Palestinians. If you watch his videos with Israelis he doesn't push them as much
@@thomaskendell8146 I think he pushes Israelis just as much as Palestinians.
What do you mean by 'free Palestine'.....is it just west bank and Gaza or complete Israel??
as an Israeli this is so fcking sad. these are literally regular people. I hate both governments, I wish we could all just live in the same country. I don't care about religion.
Yeah I agree I think most Arabs and Jews want to get along but the war pig politicians financially benefit from causing more bloodshed and division. It's way more of a political issue than a religious issue.

Getting specifics out of the interviewees is hard going. Perhaps the translator is at fault but they do speak with remarkable brevity on this topic.
nah the translator is doing fine, Arabic is my native languag, but the thing is that translating from arabic to english can be tricky sometimes due to the difference in vocabulary

Corey why don't you do a video at checkpoints and see how things are done?!
Here is a question you can ask the Palestinians. ''What do you think of Palestinians working for Israelis in illegal settlements? And do you consider it treason?''
1:00 I had no idea Robert de niro is a Palestinian
Question some Israelis about what exactly goes on at checkpoints. Are soldiers at the checkpoint making a decision as who is detained? or does a commander at some other location deside who gets stopped? Why are Palistines being detained for hours, days, or months?
Palestinians like to argue with soldiers. soldiers can't argue, they have orders. there are clear rules of who can and can't get a permit.

@Yoav Daniel I don't know why Palestinians are complaining about the lack of bread when they can eat cake? Why do they want their own country when they can have a nice job in a settlement?
In actual relation to the issue in question, please tell me how you will approach a job where you could lose your life or get seriously injured at any moment. I always believe in "who initiated the problem" rather than who had a worse outcome as they're presently doing in the Gaza war.
God! This comment is one of extreme intelligence, of which, sadly, much of the world's population is seriously lacking at the moment.
This is a very strange story, considering that there were cases when soldiers were punished for killing terrorists (by terrorists, I mean Palestinians in the process of trying to kill civilians or military). Then when it was possible to leave them alive, for example, if the terrorist was reloading his weapon or was disarmed.
He should ask what flavour fizzy bubbalah they like best
I think some of those girls were lying about their experience with Israeli soldiers 🤥
I believe the last man about the settlers and the cars. Some rogue settlers are like cowboys. Lawless and terrible, messing up chances at peace between Israelis and Palestinians.
Thank you for asking this question.
Depends which settlement , the ones near Nablus are total wackos so I believe him 100%
Yeah for one tear gas isn't cheap so soldiers just shooting tear gas at them sounds a little out there, also wasting the bullets for shooting at them doesn't sound much like the army.

Just a thought.... I wonder what the response would be from the borderline villages in Syria, from those arabs affected by the civil war. Those who approached the border of their government's enemy for help. That would be equally interesting. 🇸🇪❤🇮🇱
That said, I don't believe any country is perfect. Not Israel, not my Sweden or anything. I'm not Jewish but I'm so tired of the rising antisemitism everywhere.
Israel didnt help any syrian covilians during their civil war they were aid workers who helped, because they werent allowed to go near the borders. The one thing I can't understand, why the first girl is smiling while she talks about how they bitted her and how they took her dad. I can't understand it
Very weird indeed. As though it's funny to be beaten up. Her eyes sure don't seem to reflect any kind of trauma from that incident. They're smiling just like the rest of her face, which makes me doubt the veracity of her statement.
First girl changed her story twice in a few seconds.
The second person was afraid to answer honestly 😂
I once met a Palestinian woman, who said to me that her boyfriend is an Israeli Army officer. At first I fell from the sky. Then she said that once she was in Hebron and there a settler came to s** harass her. Then her boyfriend, who was heavily armed that time, came for her rescue. This made him a hero in her eyes. I thought maybe the 76 year old enmity will end through their love story
If Corey was born as a Palestinian, he would have a different outlook on life
To all those people asking why they are smiling it's because they don't want to give the people who wronged them the satisfaction of getting under their skin or nervous laughter because we are not used to having cameras in our faces or talking to strangers knowing that it will be uploaded on the internet
In the middle of the street in front of everybody walking by we are a preserved people so it's really uncommon for us

Q: What is the experience the Christian and Muslim living under Israeli sovereignty.
I'll give you an experience, I'm a descendant of Palestinians grandparents on both sides. Both my parents were born after the occupation and I have no family members in Palestine. I have no family members who are activists or anything out of the norm. I'm a citizen of the US and Jordan. I tried going to Palestine once and they illegally denied me entry for absolutely no reason. I called the US embassy and they said it's illegal, it happens, and there's nothing we can do about it.
Maybe you tried to pass by Israël to Palestine. That’s denied for almost all strangers from several countries that doesn’t have extradition law to Israël for crime committed into NATO.
But you can cross the border when you come from Queen Alia in Jordan, there’s no checkpoint.
Why do you want to go in a war country, without having family members into when you come from US ? That’s a good question they might ask for and that could be the reason of their suspicions.
@@karlvaopa3871 to reiterate: they gave me the reason and it was illegal under israeli law, as written it their laws and as stated by the US embassy.
