If there is something
That I might find
Look around corners
Try to find peace of mind, I say
"Where would you go
If you were me?
Trying to keep a straight course is not easy"
Somebody special
Looking at me
Same kind of reaction
Wanted to cry with me
If there are many
Too easy to say
When it's love
It's just a game-ame-ame-ame
I would do anything for you
I would come all day
I would swim all the oceans blue
I would walk a thousand miles
Reveal my secrets
More than enough for me to share
I will put roses around your door
Sit in the garden
Growing potatoes by the score
Shake your head girl, with your ponytail
Takes me right back (when you were young)
Throw your precious gifts into the air
Watch them fall down (when you were young)
Your love - could feel you put them on the ground
It used to fall apart (when you were young)
Your love - could feel you put them on the ground
The hills were higher (when you were young)
Your love - could feel you put them on the ground
The trees were taller then (when you were young)
Your love - could feel you put them on the ground
The grass was greener (when you were young)
Your love - could feel you put them on the ground
It use to fall apart (when you were young)
The guitar. My God, the guitar.
What a guitar solo! Damn!
It took Dave decades to finally get Ferry's permission! He 1st asked for Pin Ups album... Was refused!
I can see why.
Brave man to try and cover this piece of genius!
One of his best albums for sure
Darth Vader amen to that! One of the most overlooked greats of all time.
I Concur
Totally Rock n Roll
It took this band to get Bowie back on top of the rock mountain.
Nice tribute to Roxy Music, going back to their first album. Good job.
Gurgis Jones who doesn’t love a great Roxy music tribute!
Yep
@@tinmachineunofficial5453 Brian Ferry, probably lol
I love the idea that these two dandys covered eachothers songs, did they ever do it the other way around?
You know it’s Bowie when the drums are way too up front.
Good call.
The lyrics are the work of utter nihilism.
"Composer" Tin Machine?? Better fix that ASAP
Why? They wrote it not just David Bowie.
@@Thunderchild-gz4gc WTF?? 🤣
Bowie begged Bryan Ferry for 20 yrs for permission to cover that classic Roxy Music song!
I sure it means this version of the song, as the Roxy Music version is completely different and in a different key.
Sorry, nope. Much as I love Bowie and often find his covers of other people's stuff interesting, this is a miss. Ferry deliberately built the original to do a certain thing (have a listen) and this is way off the mark.
