For everyone saying "dark ruler" it doesn't even work because you can use link 2 in dp/sp send a water from hand to gy for its effect triggering link 3 to equip from deck the equip that negate the next spell it see (mandatory) Yes it can be played around but mean you need to use another ressources which is mostly very important
actually, the equip that negates spell mandatory is if the card was successfully played tho, so lets say if thay try to bait it oit with another spell that its usually important u can just toad it and the equip still gonna be live lol
Instead of mander, I just summon shire and make the rank 3 that adds virtue stream. Then detach shire and add it to hand. From there you just use its hand eff and send the bodyguards to summon/add a 7 and summon neptabyss.... saves you from having to play other random brick.
I wouldn’t be surprised if someone with a Jesse-esque combo brain ended up breaking this deck and doing really well with it. It’s done very little in the OCG, but Toad is banned there - the lists that have topped are using the minstrel handrip as their way of playing around Nib, and have much weaker boards. Whilst we’ll have Fuwaross by the time these cards land, the ocg also have the og maxx c knocking around which further dooms the deck over there. Maybe Fuwaross is a bit much, maybe it’s a bit too engine-heavy - I’m not expecting it to be top tier, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see it overperform.
@@ageha6607 shifter is rough, and when Maliss releases it gets worse for sure - but SE/Yubel both dominated in a meta with stuff like Ritual Beast and pre-banlist Tenpai in top-cut contention. They still have to draw shifter, and there’s likely a tech card you can play in the extra/side to help mitigate the issue (similar to how people sided thrust packages or fucho last format). Again, the deck has its problems - but it’s not like you can just write off a deck because of Shifter’s existence. There’s also the argument that if Shifter does become that widespread, people will move it to the side deck (like in Kash format) since it’s essentially a neg-1 vs other Shifter decks.
you can end on barrier statue of torrents to floodgate your opponent as well but you need minstrel or artisan to banish a card from their hand to do it
I like 3 Minstrel because there are now so many more discards to get value out of. Pitching a Dragoons, or Body Guards provides you with a ton of value because before you do anything else you’ve checked your opponents resources. Rip the droll before the first search, rip the Imperm so you can search and use Diva as the optimal starter. I realize the odds of someone having 2+ hand traps is much higher now, but still, it’s a discard. So although not a 1 card starter, it is a 2 card combo the deck can really dominate with imo

You couldn't be more wrong. Abysshire is a casual player and plays the deck for fun. Kotton is the most competitive player you can get and knows the game inside out, he can cook a more efficient combo in 30 mins than someone who plays a deck for fun in 10 years. I love shire videos and its cool to see some combos ideas from it, but its nowhere near competitively focused.
5:32 Waitwaitwaitwaitwait. What dumb FTKs are you cooking up with crystal beast? I know you can do a lot of stuff with the deck, but an ftk is new to me...
There is an ftk line starting from crystal bond that end up in a 7 materials tolomeus (tellarknight Xyz that turn skip) and an 11k ark overdrive. Technically is not ftk since you win in turn 3 but turn 2 doesn't get played so the opponent have no way to reapond
I just like doing whatever I can on a board with pretty fishes haha
