These with some oil shocks, 2s lipo & low voltage alarm goes pretty well in general. Maybe some better wheels & tires for the desert buggy/sand rail though.
Oh yeah would you mind trying a 2s lipo in that zt model 1:16/1:24th scale rally car from about 2 weeks ago ? Maybe you'll see closer too 35 km/h then. I'd say on average any rc cars speeds that are up to 1:12th scale if they say above 35 km/h if its not brushless usually you can go like " speed " x 0.66 or 0.72 too get the average speed I'd imagine if you do a speedcheck on most rc's you get in. Maybe you can do a speedcheck in that mall or parking lot where you messed around with the 1:10 rc drift car a while back.
Gonna purchase the truggy really soon only 80 dollars and have a coupon for 5 percent off can't beat that fun for less than a hundred dollars you guys keep the great work up final got me a bug's 3 droucon in blue its a blast only paid 60 dollars for it on Amazon you told the truth the bug's awesome I have too get use to it just wanted to thank you for all your help keep the great work up Michael Holden out of north Carolina said that
That truggy was nice and the listing on amazon says its waterproof. The buggy was splash resistant per Amazon. Truggy definitely a better buy based on what you get and performance shown. Very cool, thanks Saylors!
Love them! I have the ratchet and just put the bigger wheels from the truck version (rampage) on it! Huge difference! Very reliable so far as well, even in water! Splash proof for sure! 👏👏👏👏
These remind me of the Megatech/Pro-Pulse 4WD 1/18 trucks and buggies that came out about 15 years ago. They were close to hobby grade, but available at Radio Shack for under $50. All the usual spare parts were available. They were quite fast, very durable, and easy to modify. I still run my Pro-Pulse, but I may consider one of these as a replacement.
Ive always enjoyed smaller scale rcs but i have several 1/24 1/18 1/32 1/16 1/10 these look like a blast especially if you are limited on space these look like a good rc for a possible indoor track
once you guys get these out to the track you should do a "100 lap challenge" or something like that. Lots of these can withstand a couple bashing sessions, but how many can actually complete 100 laps without throwing pins, breaking a-arms, burning out diffs etc... I'd really love to find a decent cheap(sub$100) entry level racer that me and a few guys could throw down on and start a club.
Haiboxing (aka HBX) keep on turning out adequate to good small trucks at reasonably low prices. Usually good for pavement/back yard fun. Always worth looking at though _I've now given away my favourite the devastator mini crawler but that lasted 4 years_
I enjoyed the review and hope that you will do more 'budget' reviews. I have taught school for the last 25 years and would never be able to swing the elaborate RC models(drones, cars, & boats), but when I can find a quality budget one I can have some fun too. Keep up the good work!!!
Both are good, the second one just beats the first with better tires which give it more ground clearance. If you could get similar tires for #1 it might be just as good. Definitely full price range. Kids have to start somewhere, and I would imagine ginormous isn't for everyone. Size or price. 🤗. Good jumps, good review. ⚓👍⚓⛵👍⚓.
This suggestion is just for fun, but I think with some of the wheeled RC's see if u can use the ramp to jump the lower grassy area to see how far u can jump them up the hill!! LOL
You guys are awesome you have saved me a bunch of money stuff you show on your channel I get later on at the hobby store they tell me which is good or bad Thank you for your videos keep up the good work I don't always comment but I do watch you have saved me a lot of money on certain items
You can do metal cvd shafts, oiled shocks, wheels, and a lipo. The diffs aren't strong for a crazy brushless setup, the motor pinion is press on not held with a grub screw. A good transmitter, a 1060 esc, and the mods mentioned earlier and you have a solid basher. I did a 7200kv brushless combo on mine and destroyed the diffs 😅
@@OmniMan_Racing Did the metal gears in the A959 as well as a 4250 kv engine swap. 11.1 volt 1200 mah. It goes pretty dang fast. I grabbed oil capable shocks from my losi mini t. It's almost keeping up with my losi mini t now. Gonna grab the aluminum upgrades next couple paydays. Just for structural strengths.
@@OmniMan_Racing I will definitely keep that under advisement. I am debating on my next 18th scale RC car upgrade. Trying to convince my daughter to let me get ahold of her latrax prerunner. I picked it up for less than a 100 bucks at my local dealer... lol
@@Master197769 luckily the a959b is setup decent stock outside of still needing bearings, shock oil, and metal gears. Once you add more power the only thing next to do is figure out how to keep the car straight. Adjustable steering links help a lot but not properly setup can cause some slop in the suspension. Next mod should be a new 1/10 car lol jk man enjoy the hobby
@@TheRcSaylors It is indeed the same platform as the truggy, the buggy has some different parts though i believe it uses shorter a arms, shocks, & a larger pinion then the truggy & monster truck, these are ridiculously robust as they are though. As paul mcgrath mentions stick a 2s lipo in these from the wltoys 959b models for a bit extra speed & torque helps nicely with this. You can buy or make a jst to deans connector thats not a problem at all really if you do buy a lipo with a deans connector on it
Hi folks⚓✋, I just got to this video this morning😬...those are very nice machines for the price👍 I like the buggy design very much 👍but I think the truggy is the better of the two✌
Yeah - I love the budget stuff - but then I put my Battle Shark drone on sale for a Zino...so I guess I like features! (Did you see the Shark is marked "out of stock" on Amazon!?)
Ive been following these guys for a while. They do do some really good videos. I’ve bought a couple of budget drones etc from there recommendations. My heart lies with nitro stuff tho and I would like to see them review a high end hpi truck or something 👍🏽
Could you also add a 3rd you test when you race these 2, i think the Wltoys A969 if you still have it of course, it is another 1/18th scale that is under $100, but is a short course truck, you two reviewed it at her sisters castle, would be interested in seeing which of the 3 was the better overall in speed and bashing ability.
Oh I'm sure itd smoke these two if we could keep it under control. Thing is, we ended up giving that one to her sister and the kiddos to enjoy the hobby 👍⚓😃
What do you think is the better RC Car for a 6 year Kid. The Haiboxing Truggy, or the Absima Hurricane? I think my e-maxx is a little bit to fast for the kid :) thx for the great videos
They both look sweet. How long was the drive time on them? I would usually be more into a buggy style visually buy that truggy seemed to perform better.
I wouldn't say there waterproof I have drivin mine in really big PUDDLES though and it took like 6 minutes for it to cut out, and I let it dry and it worked really well it's also really strong I jumped mine off my garage roof onto cement and it was perfectly fine

Yess that is the best smiles are amazing
You guys should check out the Deerc 9300. It’s a 1:18 scale that goes pretty fast and has many different speeds
After you race them, and I have done my duty to help, you should try swapping the tires between them and seeing how they act.

You made me buy the Truggy!
Awesome video
I really like the smaller 1/18 scale car from Haiboxing.
My favorite aspect, not common with budget vehicles: "100% replaceable parts" according to product page.
Your Channel is very awesome!
nice video and little RCs
Do you ever find yourself doing a little jump as your truck clears a ramp? I used to, not sure why?! LOL🤣
That was random but very true

I think both are great litte. Awesome job. Just like you said you don't have to have $100's of dollars just to have fun👍
Are the haiboxing RC cars upgradeable? It looks similar to the wltoys a959. I have modded my a959 to upgraded motor/speed control and batteries.

Hi. Can u help on tell me where can I buy a remote control fir my buggy.
Thanks for the review and I just purchased one on Amazon and received a $10 discount. Thanks again..

Throw a little cam on that and some fpv and it would be a blast, heh.
Every single thing that has ever happened led up to this moment🤔
These are one of my favorite 18th scale trucks at the moment! They are a blast! Great vid as always!
My rachet has been a fun indoor runner for me
Can u change the body n motor and wheels suspension with aftermarket parts?
Great video! I think I may need to get one of these for my youngin'! I like how they have the selectable speed too! Keep 'em comin'!
Thank you very much! Yeah these would be really great for kiddos, and even kids at heart. Appreciate you tuning in! 👍⚓😎

Not bad! Maybe another day or two!? 👍⚓😃
These little guys seemed to be just the right size for that ramp. For the 1/10 in the 1/8 scale you really need a much wider ramp not taller but wider
Too bad you can only like once,I'd like about 10 times 😁 That would be something to see those go! For that size, those can book!
