I clean my shower while I’m in it! I have one of those sponge-on-a-sticks that has dawn and a little bit of vinegar in it in my shower and once a week I scrub the mess out of it before I clean myself. Makes it super easy.
I do the same! I heat up vinegar in a spray bottle and add some drops of dawn and spray down the shower and let it sit. Jump in, clean it, and shower myself 😂
Clara you should get a luggage rack, I get so many compliments from people I host about the one I purchased!! I got in on Amazon, and they fold up pretty small so it’s easy to store
my favorite candles ever ever ever are from copper and vine! she’s a small business based in charleston! i believe they’re more natural and they REALLY smell! my parents live in charleston so i always stock up on candles while im there!

Idk your housing situation because you said it’s a house but then mentioned maintenance, but I live in a high-rise “luxury” (lmao) building with extra tall ceilings and they definitely come and change lightbulbs, smoke detector batteries, etc. You absolutely need a real ladder, so it’s generally considered a reasonable request.
In order to tighten the toilet seat, you have to tighten the bolts on the inside/underside of the toilet! Kind of gross but mine was doing that a lot as well. If it just spins while you try to tighten, you may have to buy new bolts
I have a shower similar to that; I’ve learned after a shower you have to rinse it with cold water, and leave the door open every item you shower or else mold with grow much faster. Any heat trapped with expedite the mold. Getting a daily shower spray to use in the shower works as well to slow down having to clean it as often
I think instead of the gift baskets you could just purchase a postcard frame and take a picture with them on their trip so that they can take their memory with them!
Clara I think that black stuff washing down your shower drain was the grout 😊 I could be wrong but after scrubbing my shower, we would always rinse down black stuff and eventually we had to replace the grout because I had scrubbed it all away in certain areas lol

For your toilet seat, have you tried tightening it from underneath? You should be able to do it with your hands but sometimes a flat head screwdriver helps.
I also hate cleaning the shower. I recently bought this daily shower spray that helps keep it sparkly/clean for longer so I have to deep-clean it less. Lol
Omg our shower gets mold around the edges constantly and I clean it EVERY WEEK and it's the worst. Our neighbor told us their's was like that too and when they had their bathroom redone they found out it was because the subflooring and tile was installed wrong and so it was holding water and growing mold. 🤢

Quick tip for your toilet seat: check where the anchor screws are, typically at the hinge, and simply tighten them
