    Don't forget to watch my other videos regarding the Epson ET-8550. ua-cam.com/play/PLo219FKz6e4ruHw9B09PcWSGFp4EReB48.html I like this printer a lot. It's not perfect in every aspect, but I'd give it 9.8 points out of 10. I can so far only say that if I had to buy a new printer today, I'd buy this one without blinking an eye or hesitate a split second.

      It's a nice printer. I am very happy with my choice. Most of the prints I am making are large, these small ones are only for family album and tests. Have a look how fast and nice it prints a large image: ua-cam.com/video/-BEyznnYPho/v-deo.html

    Nice pictures many thanks for the video..do you know how printing is possible on cd/dvd? I cannot open manually the cd holder..I also have bought this printer and want to test the various options including printing on cd‘s

      @AdaptingCamera  Рік тому

      Thank you for your comment. I never printed on CD or DVD and to be honest, I don't intend to. My understanding is that you can't just go and buy a box of DVDs and print on them. They must be a type with an inkjet printable surface. Anyway, the CD holder tray is under the office paper tray (tray 2), which you need to remove before you can remove the CD tray. The CD holder must be inserted into the printer with the CD in the holder. There is a special section in the manual about it, please read the instructions there. It may not be entirely intuitive and self explanatory, so don't take a chance without reading the manual.

    I am confused to buy between L8180 and L18050. Can you help know the difference? Please note I dont need scanner. Just printing I need

    • @AdaptingCamera
      @AdaptingCamera  Рік тому

      I think the L8180 is the better printer. I don't remember now the details, but when I looked at them it was clear to me. Have a look and compare the exact specifications of both. In fact, if you ever print black and white I am pretty sure the L8180 beats the L18050 because the L18050 does not have grey colour and there is only one black. The L8180 has two blacks and grey, and those are used to create a very nice, perfect black and white prints with the right paper and the right work flow. I also don't need the scanner, but see it as added bonus.

    Does have this printer sufficient print quality for selling prints?

    • @AdaptingCamera
      @AdaptingCamera  Рік тому +1

      How do you define "sufficient quality"? The quality you print largely depends on your own skills as a photographer, not only behind the camera, but also in front of the computer and depends also on your printing skills, paper and so on. Shit in = shit out. Yes, if you ask me, the printer is good enough to produce prints for selling.

      @@AdaptingCamera Thank you, this i needed to hear. I know this issue very well, i had Canon pixma pro 1, and set of the printer was night mare (especially in relation with age of that printer and software compatibility), but i handled it, so i hope that i will be able handle also this one, thanks again👍).

    Is 8550 and 8180 the exact same printer?

    • @AdaptingCamera
      @AdaptingCamera  Рік тому +2

      That is my understanding. Also the user manuals are identical, so the two models are the same, depending on which country you are buying it.

    Which is better????

    • @AdaptingCamera
      @AdaptingCamera  Рік тому

      The ET-8550 and the L8180 are the same printer, sold on certain markets under one name, on other markets under the other. None of them are better than the other since they are the same... 😀

      @@AdaptingCamera That brings up another question because the ET-8550 is more expensive than the L8180, quite odd

    • @AdaptingCamera
      @AdaptingCamera  10 місяців тому

      @@ST-gp8in As far as I know, you can't buy those in the same country, either sold as ET-8550 or L8180, depending on where you buy it. Of course, if I compare a Swedish sold ET-8550 with a L8180 sold in India (as an example) the Swedish ET-8550 is more expensive because different markets have different prices, but that's valid also the the same printer. Those printers are identical, you can be sure about that. No different in any way.

      No, they are the same but sold under different names on different market. The user manual and everything else is the same, except the name.

      They have different ink colors, both have CMYK but one have Light Cyan and Light Magenta, the other have photo Black and Light grey.

      @AdaptingCamera  5 місяців тому

      @@TheMassive_0I think you don't know what you are talking about because you have never seen these printers nor did you bother reading the publicly available manual. Here is a link to the manual of L8180: download4.epson.biz/sec_pubs/l8180_series/useg/en/GUID-D08ACB63-720D-4D7C-B296-6333D4EB31D5.htm where you can clearly see that both printers use the same ink but the code numbering is different on different markets. BK: Black, PB: Photo Black, C: Cyan, M: Magenta, Y: Yellow, GY: Grey are the colours used in the printer, regardless if the printer is ET8550 or L8180. Light Cyan, Light Magenta and Light Grey does not even exist.

      i have done a lot of massive research because i wanted to buy a printer with the very best quality of image, and i had doubts about this issue, what is best shades of grays, or shades of colors, there is a brother printer series with 10 to 12 colors but the dpi is up to 600 or 1200 depending the model @@AdaptingCamera maybe there is such thing as a ET8550 with photo black and gray ink, maybe depends of the region/country 🤷‍♂

      i think you are right and i'm wrong by a misplaced number, only the Epson EcoTank L8050 have those Light Cyan, Light Magenta and Light Grey but either L805 and L8550 are like you said @@AdaptingCamera
