I have been a huge fan of ostacruisers for years. So much so that I purchased my first can am back in November (after my scrambler disappointed epicly so) and she is an absolute monster. I know how to put my ride through her paces and she has not disappointed in the slightest.
That being said I also purchased a tiger tail a couple months before that and have to say it is one of the best investments I have ever made!! Holds up awesome no matter how hard you work it!! Extremely useful and convenient!! Never leave home without it!!
Dude! That's awesome. 2020 XMR needs this asap. Thanks for the great video showing it in action. That dual pull on the truck was great. There was no slack even with 2 people pulling, which is usually the problem. Awesome, and turns again!

I want one for my SXS. This past weekend everyone needed an anchor and it was a pain to roll the winch out and in every time.
Made the mistake of towing logs down a gravel road with mine , let me tell you .. That rope is not easy to replace on the tiger tail . I had it on my RZR and now my quad . One of my best purchases
The replacement video didn’t look too hard. Don’t let the tree drag over the rope.

@ostacrusier hey man what kind of tires do you recommend for a 800 teryx? do alot of trail and mud riding was thinking either the interco interforce or itp black-water evolution
@ostacruiser are there any receiver mounts that don't bolt to your diff. the mounting location makes me nervous to put a towing device like that on.

Can it lock? I've been in situations in the woods where you need to take a corner and if the strap or rope is too long it catches on trees and such, making it harder to keep things straight to get around the obstacle. then it creates premature wear on it and all of that other good jazz.
No you can’t lock it but you can double it back and hook to the eyelet on the mount.

Osta what about if you want to give it a few feet of "slack" then goose the throttle and yank them out? I see most all of these extractions are pulling till tight, then giving it the gas. Would yanking it damage the unit?
Chains and straps are made to withstand tension. Giving it slack and letting it snap straight can break the chain/strap and make the situation worse.
how did you get yours from rattling in the receiver mine has slop in it I was going to drill a hole an weld a nut on the hole I drilled an put a bolt in it to keep it tight.

hey osta i have a question. i have a 2007 can am renegade 800 and its stuck in high. it wont come out at all even if i rock the machine but it still runs good just wont shift out of high. ive heard the one way bearing on the primary could be the issue. ive already checked the linkage and its good but do you think its the one way bearing or something in the transmission?
Most likely one way bearing. if you shut the machine and it shifts properly then 1 way bearing for sure. replace beatings and clean clutches
+ostacruiser when i shut the machine off it still wont shift at all it wont come out of high. Do you think its still the one way bearing? Thank you so much for your advice
Does the tiger tale have a lock that can be engaged for those instances where you don't have enough room to reach the end of the rope? If not, they need one!
anytime I have needed a shorter rope I just doubled back and hooked onto the Tigertail itself it has holes to hook the hook into

I'm surprised they didn't put a roller system where it releases through that hole ... I think eventually it will get warn and tale will start t shred....
Never had it get warm or fray.
So it has to be fully put the 12 foot before you can start pulling? How does it hold up to mud as far as far asnrhe retractable part goes?
I have never had one fail yet. Yes it extends all thw way. Easy to double it up to make it shorter if needed

This is nice but the riding i do up here in alaska is swamps and then trees and sometimes you cant go straight for long lol. But in other cases i can use this I want one.
Did you have it custom painted? and is that the At or UT version

i heard the tiger tail is in the way of the can am license plate. Is this true? will i have to find a new spot for my license?
There are several ways to adjust the mount so that it can clear. I wanted it tucked up and in as much as possible so I had to modify the license plate bracket yes

+MRBOBBY8706 Think of the pressures when the winch is being operated. Unless you yanking it out, it would be fine.
Yea no yanking. F=M*A low acceleration keeps low force.

I like to use round ones myself but you can use whatever
28 outlaw2s just be kind of careful if your on Stock axles my buddy has a stock grizzly 700 AMD he has those tires but he's blew one axle with them but they are the best tires in my opinion
